The 52oz steak for three was so delicious and I had an extremely huge food coma after splitting it with my brother. Though it was one piece, they were nice enough to cut it into two pieces to make one medium rare and one medium well. Their service was beyond the world, such that the waiter took the time to stabilize the table before serving us. Definitely would go again !

One of the best steak places in town, different from usual steak restaurants. Meat quality is on par or better than any offering in the city. The side dishes — love the thick bacon strips and scallion salad — along with asian/korean fusion influence really make this place unique. Great service and attentive hosts. Quiet and not rowdy like most steak restaurants. Perfect for date.

Very good food overall. I had the dry aged prime rib and it was very tasty. Also enjoyed the sweet potato truffle fries. Would definitely go again.

The best steak I’ve had in a LONG time so I had to leave a review. Conveniently through OpenTable, I made a reservation for 2 at 7pm on Friday night. Within close proximity of the bustling St. Marks commotion, I would have expected this place to be crowded, but it wasn’t — when we got there, the restaurant was fairly empty. It may be because of the time of the night, as the place filled up by the end of our meal. It’s a dimly-lit restaurant with an intimate ambience that is perfect for a date. She got the Burger Rice(medium) and she gobbled up the whole thing. I ordered the Dry-Aged Ribeye(medium rare) and the waitress showed me the steak before it was cooked. It was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing — I was genuinely surprised at how good it was from the first bite to the last. It came with a salad, scallion garnish and roasted garlic but the steak tasted great without them. Having gone to many steakhouses in NYC, this steak really stood out. She had a piece too and loved it as well. She’s going to order the Ribeye next time, haha! We also ordered a side of mixed regular fries/sweet potato fries with parmesan cheese and truffle oil. It was rather underwhelming because we couldn’t really taste much truffle oil. Service was absolutely stellar from beginning to end. The waitress checked up on us regularly. The food came out without a hitch and water was always refilled promptly. All in all, it’s my new steak place to rave about. I’ve been recommending steak-lover friends to check this place out and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

What a great piece of steak! Spectacular service from the owner and his brother, the butcher– very personal and attentive. Food: started with tomato platter(a fresh caprese), potato salad(excellent), and salads with a cool spicy dressing. Ordered the dry aged bone in rib eye for two, which was 36 oz of beautiful marbled steak, and the Galbi Korean short rib. Both were fantastic! And the two entrees and two sides of kimchi fried rice and French Fries were very filling for four of us– perfect amount of food. Special touches like the different salts, scallion salad, and whole head of roasted garlic added extra flavor an already juicy and flavorful steak. The staff showed us our steak pre-cook as well, and our mouths were watering until that gorgeous medium rare cook was placed in front of us. Would return, 5 star meal.

Indeed there are many better steakhouses than this one, but I was satisfied. I had dry aged ribeye.

Phenomenal steakhouse hidden in the heart of the LES – if you find this gem, come in and try the dry aged ribeye with the sea salt tasting. So good!

I came for dinner with my parents, and the overall experience was good. The 3-star rating is because the food wasn’t really amazing in comparison to its price. The restaurant is darkly lit and pretty intimate. The service is really good too. For appetizers, we ordered the Sweet Potato French Fries with Parmesan Cheese and Truffle Oil($ 8) and the Prime & Beyond Special Bacon Strips($ 10). The French fries were really good, but not really worth the price. The truffle oil was very hard to taste; I thought they had forgotten to put it in. The bacon was good but only for the first few pieces. The dish has a very reasonable portion, but the more you eat, the less it tastes good. The meat itself is thick and pretty well cooked, but it is incredibly salty. After a while, I really couldn’t eat it anymore because the salt messed up my tongue. For the main dish, we shared the Wet-Aged Ribeye(my favorite cut)($ 45). The chef actually brings the raw meat out to show you before it’s cooked, and that was really cool. Though, the steak was a little underwhelming. There was nothing that special. The scallion salad that comes with it is amazing, and the garlic was cooked so well it melted in my mouth. While the meat wasn’t amazing, the scallion and garlic definitely helped to enhance the flavor. This restaurant is on the more expensive side, and I would have really liked to have had better food, but it just didn’t work out. Definitely not a bad experience, but not the greatest.

A one-of-a-kind steakhouse with the highest quality steak in NYC. The owners have a butcher shop in New Jersey so they get all top grade beef and have the expertise to prepare the steaks perfectly. They do both dry and wet aged steaks that are seasoned and cooked perfectly. Steaks from Prime & Beyond really pack the most flavor of any steak I’ve had in NYC. Also, the lamb chops & bacon appetizers are not to be missed. They also have great kimchi, scallion salad, and other Korean appetizers to give the place a nice unique touch. The wine list is also excellent. It has soul and I can tell that they put quality first to really deliver the best steak to your plate.

My boyfriend found this gem through groupon. He took me here and we both had the prime rib. He had the wet aged and I had the dry aged. This was probably the best steak I’ve had in a long time. The meat was cooked perfectly and it was super juicy. They bring out the slab of meat before they cook it to show you what you’re about to eat! Before we had steaks, we ordered fried calamari which wasn’t that good. We came back a second time in the same month and got the pork belly(I forgot the name of it) and it was delicious! They have a good selection of wine, but a smaller bar. Back to the steak, it comes with a little salad to share and an entire roasted garlic to spread all over your steak. The first time we had a small serving of corn on the cob but the second time it didn’t come with it. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is nice. All in all, this is one of our favorites in NYC and I highly recommend it!

I like it. I did not Love it. I went on a Wednesday night and I think they were very understaffed. The restaurant ran line a lunch deli. Service definitely needs to be better. Food was good… Not exceptional. We had lamb chop and rib-eye and lamb chop was better. I became a steak expert ever since I met my boyfriend and I have to say the steak dining is really fun not only because of the great steak you get because of the service and attention you get from the wait staff. Let’s just say I have gotten better service from Korean BBQ place.

Friendly staff, good service, good food. The steaks(I had the wet aged rib eye) were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was tasty but subtle enough not to overpower the quality of the meat. I was there with a friend but it would make a fantastic fit for a romanic date, with the one footnote being that tables can be close together, so beware if you’re looking for privacy. I felt like we were at the same table as the people next to us, which was a little weird. Overall, recommended.

We went with 9 people around 8:30PM on a Friday. The place was pretty busy, but I also think this was because there were only two waiters who were taking care of everything. The place was not the quietest place, but I think this is because the place is so small with many tables; it didn’t bother us that much. We ordered the porterhouse for 3($ 150 ish), dry-aged new york strips for two(I believe, $ 98)and dry-aged rib eye for two. They showed the meat for the porterhouse and new york strip, but not the rib-eye. It took them about 45 minute to cook the first two steaks and about 30 min for the rib eye. We also ordered grilled vegetables and grilled mushrooms as sides. The steaks came out with scallion salads and regular salad with their special asian sauce. If you are Korean and have been to Korean BBQ restaurants, all their side dishes will taste and seem familiar. I personally didn’t like the scallion salad because it just felt like I was eating Korean BBQ and not steak, which is way more pricey. There were nothing special about their sides, but I was pretty happy with the portion and the pricing of the steaks. Definitely worth the price for the quality you get. If it is your first time, go for their porterhouse and the dry-aged rib-eye & expect for their waiters to take a while since they are so busy taking care of serving and the register as well as anything you may possibly need.

Had dinner for our first evening in The city. Excellent steak, but I find the place a bit overpriced for what you get.

This place has the best rib eye, wet aged or dry aged. I prefer the wet aged because it is juicier than the dry aged. Also the scallion salad goes great with the steak as well as the roasted garlic. The calamari isn’t that great unless they decide to swap out their Korean paste for the Thai sweet chili sauce. The bacon appetizer was on point. The service is great and everyone is very welcoming. They are the only steak house that brings out the steak and shows you before they cook it.

Always wanted to try this place. You can smell the steak when you’re in the vicinity. We got to try it and it smells better than it tastes. The restaurant wasn’t packed at all. The service is very good. It’s a nice restaurant. Ordered the porterhouse for two and they come and show you the meat before they cook it. It was cooked well but the meat itself wasn’t as good as we had hoped. We compare all steakhouses to Peter Lugers unfortunately and so far, nothing really compares. This falls quite short. We also ordered the sweet potato fries, which were the best thing of the night. So good. We also ordered their bacon and calamari, which were tasteless. The green beans that came with the steak was also tasteless and the steak had salt on top of it after it was cooked. It was weird. I never complain that things are tasteless because I don’t usually cook with much salt either, but I don’t think they put salt in some of their foods at all.

Pork Soo Yook(pork belly) is OK. Had a herb infused flavor I wasn’t fond of. The house salad with the Wasabi dressing was great. As a carnivore, I was surprisely impressed. The brussel sprouts with bacon bits were the best app of the night. We ordered two of them. I had the dry aged ribeye cooked medium. It was lightly seasoned and was decently cooked. I tasted a kalbi rib from my friend and that was a well marinated piece of meat. The lychee soju cocktail was yummy. Warning for weak sauce drinkers, my friend had to take a nap after drinking this.(His alcoholic tolerance isn’t that high-think Asian red after one drink). Overall, I had a decent meal and the prices are very reasonable(~$ 400 for 5 people who had apps and drinks). However there are a lot of better steak places in the city. The asian twist is nice, but not enough of a draw. It’s good, but not great 3.5 stars.

3.5÷5, +.5 for service Yum. Nothing like steak in New York. Scratch that, nothing like porterhouse steak in New York. A trip to NYC simply isn’t complete without going to a steakhouse, and this time around I chose this restaurant due to the Unilocal reviews and focus of being pretty much a steak only restaurant. We ordered the pork soo yook, wagyu salami, dry-aged lamb chops, and porterhouse steak, with two desserts. The highlight was, not surprisingly, the lamb chops and the porterhouse steak. They were grilled perfectly medium/medium rare; just the way I like it. I even liked the fact the server showed us the steaks and chops before they were grilled, so we know they are fresh not frozen. The pork soo yook and wagyu salami were nothing special and I could’ve definitely gone without. Finally the desserts consisted of various forms of chocolate cake, in which we ordered two… and they tasted very good! I definitely highly recommend ordering dessert from here. Service was excellent, especially our server and his professionalism. We had some luggage that we wanted to drop off about an hour before dinner so we can walk, and he kindly offered us a place to store it. Now that’s what I call excellent service!

Steak baby! They had some Korean items on the menu, but do not mistake this is not a Korean BBQ, this is a Steakhouse. This place is pretty , first off we decided to spit a 38 oz steak amongst 3 of us. Within 10 minutes of ordering this huge T-bone the waiter brings it out to the table to show us prior to cooking it. This was amazing! And dang Gina, that is one big piece of meat. The steak was awesome and 3 of us easily shared the steak for 2 with plenty left over. Appetizer: Tomato tower, delicious huge amount of fresh buffalo cheese and nice fresh tomatoes and basil. Salami –which was good, but just a big piece of meat, I wish they served it with bread or something. Wine: nice Malbec, very good prices on the bottles. Sides: truffle fries –ohhhh baby! So good. Grilled Asparagus — cooked to perfection. Service was great. Waiter was very attentive, I’ll def come back here.
