DONOTORDERFROMHERE. I ordered a medium cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and some garlic knots. Everything was cold but at least the motts sticks and garlic knots were edible… The pizza looked like it had been thrown around inside the box(see photo). I called to see if we could get a refund for the pizza or perhaps an edible pizza. They agreed to bring me a new pizza. The«new pizza»(see photo 2) they brought looked even worse as if they were trying to be spiteful. It honestly looked like the delivery man kicked the pizza box down the street with the pizza inside. When I called the next day to get a refund(as they didn’t pick up the phone the rest of the evening) the man working accused me of lying, was extremely rude and hung up the phone.

Not much to eat in this area on West End Ave, so despite my misgivings, gave this place a shot. Cashier seemed annoyed that I asked questions like«how much is this?» or «do you have sausage and pepper rolls»(which were listed on the menu). I ended up getting a chicken roll which was a pretty uninspiring, overly salted mess of cheese and meat heated to a lukewarm temperature. Again, I didn’t really have high expectations for this place, but it still managed to disappoint. Not the worst thing I’ve ever tried, but after eating here, it just left me thinking«what was even the point?»

I like this place. It’s not a famous NYC pizza place but it’s really good. I love just stopping in and getting a slice of pizza. It’s a good price and fast. They crust is crispy and the sauce is good.

WARNINGDONOTEATHEREIFYOUVALUECLEANLINESS… And your health. I just moved into the neighborhood and was going out to eat with my mom, because we were still moving things in. We wanted food that was quick and satisfying; so we figured we’d have pizza. Biggest mistake ever. The person that was handling the money and texting on his cellphone seemed bored so he opened the door to the back, stood there and kneading all of the dough just for fun… then went back to handle the money of a customer. After that his boss came and told him to move the beef patties, which he had no problem touching.(He never washed his hands mind you) Now my mother and I hoped that the oven would burn all the germs on that dough, but why risk it? We will never be going there again.

Great pizza, great customer service. I like to dine in to get away from my office for a bit which is no problem since the tables are always clean.. I will definitely try some of the other items on the menu on my next trip.

I had limited time and called Pizzabolla to see how long a delivery would take for a small pie. I live only 2 blocks away. The man promised me it would be only 20 minutes when I again emphasized I did not have a lot of time. 20, 30, then 40 minutes passed and I finally called to see where the pizza was. They told me the delivery boy was in the building. I waited another 15 minutes as I live in a very large building but still no pizza. As I called to tell them to forget it, the boy rang the bell. The pizza was not only ice cold, but inedible. I HATE pepperoni and the sauce tasted as if it had been cooked with pepperoni in it. I threw the pie in the trash and would never waste my money there again. Justino’s on 10th Avenue is the best pizza I’ve had in the area south of 60th street, although I have not tried that many to be honest. Sorry but this was a total thumbs down.

I was happy when a pizza joint opened up next to me because there’s not much else nearby and I’ve ordered from there a couple of times now. It always arrives fresh and fairly quickly. Sometimes the delivery guy doesn’t take enough care with it so the top is completely off the pizza when I receive it, which is surprising since I am literally a 5 minute walk away. The pizza itself is average. The flavor is average, the crust is average, the sauce average. So I’d say it’s good enough when you want some pizza, but I wouldn’t brag about it being the best in NYC. A medium pepperoni pizza will run you $ 20(including tip), which I feel is a bit pricey. I’ll continue to order from there, but will now check the pie before the delivery guy leaves.

Review is strictly for the calzone and Caesar salad, so grain of salt. Calzone had three toppings/fillings, a nicely charred exterior and the heft of a brick, so for $ 6.95, very good. Caesar was really enormous and had house-made croutons that, while not amazing, were superior to some boxed artificial version. Dressing was of the respectable bottled variety. If you’re a light eater, you could basically make a very affordable and more than passable dinner for two out of the meal above, so four stars.

Pizza here is not great, not terrible. It is very forgettable. If I didn’t live in the building, I would certainly never come back here. I guess they have no incentive to make higher quality food, given that there is no competition for blocks. In a neighborhood with a lot of competition, there is no way they’d be able to stay in business putting out such a mediocre product. However, if they did put in the effort to make a great product, they’d have a huge customer base. But it’s easier not to put in the effort, of course. And as far as the pizza makers wearing gloves, I saw the pizza guy leave from behind the counter with his gloves on, open the door, go outside, pull out his cellphone and have a conversation, then open the door with the handle and come back in and resume making pizza without removing or changing his gloves. So I don’t think the gloves serve any purpose except to try to fool the customer.

Pizza here is okay. The chicken mushroom pizza was good except some of the chicken was terribly overcooked. Cheese pizza was pretty good.

This place was very tasty. They are fresh, clean and neat. They wear gloves. We are new fans of Pizza e Bolla! It replaced that old dumpy dirty pizza shop run by Pappa Luigi. Yay, we have a new place-a to go for da pizza…

It has been more than a month since they opened this place, I guessed the owners are preoccupied with something else, As of 1÷19÷2013 their phone number is still not available on the internet and they have no menu… How on earth you open a restaurant and do not create a menu or do not check local online listings… Yes the number listed on Unilocal 212−873−7900 should be changed to 212−586−2000 as well. That being said pizza quality is better when compared to old tenant Luigi’s. Decent guys, decent service, clean, you need pizza, you get pizza. I liked their margherita pizza. I am attaching a picture from external display which has a menu-like options and the correct phone number. They close at 8 pm.

It’s nice to finally have a pizza place in the neighborhood where the kids can go after playing in the playground but the pizza is a disappointment and expensive. I would have preferred a less done up place with authentic NY pizza than a done up place run by a foreigner. There is also a bagel place next door ALSO owned by the same owner and is connected. For some reason, it closes earlier and $$$

Pizzabolla is a relatively new pizza place in the far western part of the Upper West Side. It is convenient to the nearby ABCTV studios as well as John Jay College. The interior is small, but roomy by pizza place standards, and it is very clean and airy inside, unlike most grimy pizza places around town. How is the pizza? It is okay. It is nothing special, but it is pretty good. Also, at the time of this review they have a deal for 2 slices of cheese pizza & a soda for $ 5.99. Th service is quick too. This will make a good lunch spot for people working /going to school in the area.
