West End Towers Garage

IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE!!! We used for monthly parking because of a good entry rate and location. Car was damaged multiple times (two large dents on hood as if someone had walked on top, side view mirrors literally broken off and the glass shattered…$ 400 each to replace). Was forced to take before and after photo’s when parking and the lot finally did replace one mirror only (caught on camera).
They also locked the keys in the car at our expense.
The business office is even worse than the garage. Nanette specifically is an extremely rude and abusive woman. I called to find the balance on the account and she hung up on me 5 times because I asked her to please not put me on hold. Each time I called back she said F-​you and hung up again.
I was physically shaking by the language and abuse by this woman over the phone! My husband called and spoke with the owner with similar if not worse results.
We had a nice car until parking at the West End Towers Garage. Our car would have been in better condition had we simply parked it on the street. And, a lot less headaches dealing with
and abusive office assistant, Nanette.

This truly is a terrible garage.

Stay away the attendants are so nasty and rude!!! They charged me $ 50.00 because I didn’t leave the car in the ignition. Although, I have a push to start car. When questioned why didn’t the attendant ask for the keys they stated that’s not their job. They have one job to move cars. But yet it’s not their job to ask for keys. I asked for a detailed receipt indicating the charge for the $ 50.00 the attendant started yelling and shouting at me. Saying I was being rude I then questioned the attendant for his name and he completely ignored me and started yelling at me. There was another Hispanic attendant there that said I was rude. As a customer, I should be treated with respect. They are not familiar with customer service or professionalism. I have no clue how they are still opened after all the reviews I ‘ve just read. I tried to file a complaint through consumer affairs but they don’t accept complaints about employee behavior.

worst parking garage ever!!! never use this one!!! never get your price right!!! 22 for 6 hrs but the board shows 13 within 12 hrs! the people! working in this garage are the worst and worst! my car once came out with multiple scratches and they never admitted it! driving crazy inside of the tiny garage! never respect customers! even fought with me last time! do not come to this one! just a few steps away to the «icon» one!

This place is disgusting. Go up the block and pay a little more to park. The attendants are lazy and your car will get scratched up. Then they lie about it. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone for customer service. When you call a woman answers the phone and she’s completely useless. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

The worst place for monthly parking. Absolute worst. Slow. They’ve dinged up my car more ways than I could remember. When you ask them, it’s nothing but attitude. «Sure buddy, I’ll check the cameras and give you a full report». Call ahead 1hr to get your car. It may be cheap, but it’s NOT WORTH IT. Things I’ve had stolen from my car: ipod, radar detector, a holder for my iphone. If you call up the office and speak with Nanette, she’s just the most miserable person you could ever talk to. She is one nasty lady. They’ll just hang up on you when they’re done. Call ahead 30 minutes, go to pick up your car, then they’ll go downstairs to get it and wait another 30 minutes. I’d give ZERO stars if I could. Customer service is NOT their strength. Parking cars is not their strength.
OH!!! Don’t let me forget that whenever you pick up your car there will be this layer of black dust all over it. Not only all over it, but since they keep the passenger window down, there will be black dust all over the inside of your car, in every nook.
Don’t let me forget about this too! I’ve found coffee cups in my cup holder, they leave the radio on hip hop stations with the AC cranked down. I’ve found trash, that is not mine, on the passenger floors.
THE WORST!!!

I recently moved into the area and was looking for a parking garage and this was the closest. On Sunday I went and asked for monthly parking but the manager was not there. I was told I could park my car and on Tuesday when he came in he would not charge me. I had an event come up for work and needed to leave Tuesday morning and the manager was not in yet. I asked if i could pay and then be reimbursed and was told yes so I paid the $ 44. I came back later in the morning with my car and the manager was still not in so I parked my car again needing to go to work. I then came back that evening as I was told the manager would be there but again he wasn’t but another gentleman came to assist. I explained my situation and what I was told and in a nasty tone he told me «he got in at 4pm so whatever anyone said before that dos at matter and to him it’s like it never happened». I then said I would not be doing monthly parking and he would lose that and he said he did not care. I paid again and he got my car. As he drove up my car he hit the gas and was speeding though the garage to me. To say the least I will ever park in this garage or have any of my visitors. He was not only rude but nasty to both my boyfriend and myself. He should be ashamed at the way he conducted himself and its a pity that this management employees people like this.

My wife and I parked in this garage on a monthly basis. One time, after we got home from vacation, we noticed multiple scratches on the rear left side of the car. On taking a closer look we discovered yellow paint marks on the scratches, which came from the concrete pillars in the garage. Clearly, a garage attendant had scraped our car against the pillars and damaged it. When we reported this to the garage manager he became increasingly loud and confrontational. Moreover, he would not give us a claims form for insurance purposes. When we contacted the main office the woman on the phone would not cooperate either. We decided to hold our monthly payments till this issue was resolved.
Two days later we went to pick up our car. The garage attendant said that he could not release our car till a full payment was made. We had already made first and last month’s payment so technically we had paid till the end of the month, but the garage attendant said, «Bring me the money and only then will I release the car.» At this point my wife and I called the cops. The garage has no basis to hold anyone’s car, even if there is a dispute payment. They have no legal right to do this. The cops arrived and basically told the garage the same. Eventually the garage had no choice but to release our car. The cops even helped us get a claims form for the damage. They were frequent visitors to this garage given the large number of disputes that arise there.
Moral of the story: Don’t feel threatened by these stupid, uneducated, garage attendants who have no basis to exert their authority over your cars. Their strategy at this garage is to intimidate you. Stand your ground and call the cops if needed. Even better, do not park here even if you feel the rates are attractive,

This place is a cheap place to park, but there is a klepto that works there. Who else would steal a vent mounted cell phone holder and a $ 1 worth of coins? My husband even noticed they went through the glove compartment and sunglass holder. I guess they couldn’t find anything so they took the cell phone holder (which you can find for under $ 20) and the coins.

West End Tower Garage on West 63^rd st. for the first and last month rent. Sterling Bank returned the check to the garage stamped «return to maker». It was not returned for insufficient funds. It was not presented to my bank. On April 16^th Sterling bank advised my bank that they did not know why the check was returned, but they would look into it.
The garage demanded $ 815, without explaining the increased amount. If I paid with a new check I could not have my car until my check cleared and they would not take a credit or debit card because I was a monthly customer. With a rain jacket, but no umbrella, I walked in torrential rains to get $ 815 in cash.
I previously was a monthly customer in this garage for many years, but I left because of poor service and items were missing from my car.

Yeah don’t ever get lost in New York. My phone died, me and my brother got separated some where near the MSG cause of the herds of people crossing the street. I knew nothing about where the hell I was, I don’t think my bro knew where he was, and I’m sure none of knew where each of was going. Thankfully their tickets have an address on the back so at least I knew what I was looking for but still didn’t know where it was, New York can take my bro haha. Hours hours later, into the late nights of NY, I found this parking garage and a little later here comes my bro strolling across the street haha. Good thing I remembered there was some river next to it, was it the Hudson or East River didn’t know just lucky. Good times. I did get to explore NY while being lost.
I had no problems with this garage. It wasn’t hard to get in and out. Prices were pretty cheap compared to the others in the area only paid $ 10 and we were there all day. I think they were open 24 hrs a day, don’t remember. It seemed like a safe area, there was a market, the Hudson River, bars, and a school. To get to the parking garage go down the short dead end street between the West End Tower and the market. You have walk up and down the ramp, so just watch out for cars. They’ll ask you how long you’re going to be so that they can park you accordingly. They do park card bumper to bumper and side by side, to get as many cars in as possible. As long as you give them a good estimate time you should be ok, even if you’re staying later it seemed like they were fast. They were friendly and did remember us when we picked up the car, must have been our surf shorts. They asked if we got lost and I shared my story. They even let me use the electric outlet to charge my phone to get back to the place we were staying. These guys were cool in my book.
It’s not fancy it’s just a garage but I’m a fan.

This place might be the scummiest places in NYC to park your car. All of theses posts are legitimate. This place stole a $ 200 pair of sunglasses out of my golf bag meaning they went through all of the pockets in my bag which was in the trunk. Had the car valeted meaning it was for sure one of their employees.
Also stole a 12 pack of seltzer water for some reason (hence scummiest places to park)

The attendants at this garage stole money out of my wallet when I left it in the car. I returned after 10 minutes after realizing this and retrieved it with only $ 2 remaining. They had stolen $ 80 and lied to my face about it. The guy even had the nerve to say that he didn’t have to return the wallet at al and could have taken my credit cards! This admission sealed his guilt. Never go to this garage!

This is the worst managed garage in all NY! I started parking here, on a monthly basis, a few months ago and so far they cracked the rear bumper by backing into a cement column, and snapped off the rear view mirror cover. They denied both and refuse to fix the damage, even though several people saw them do it. Twice, even though I called ahead by 20 minutes, my car was not ready when I arrived, and it was chaos because the attendants mostly do not care and do not listen to the manager.
But the topper was last night, when they could not find my car, and could not care less. After waiting 15 minutes for my car I asked the manager where it was and he had no idea what the attendants were doing. When he finally checked, one guy said he looked for the car and could not find it, so he gave up and went for another car. A second attendant started to look, but after 15 minutes came back and said he could not find it. I finally started walking around, found it, and tried to get someone to move the 8 cars that were blocking me in. Then I went to the manager and told him to get a few guys down there and move cars as it was now ONE HOUR that I was waiting and very late for a dinner appointment. He could not get another guy to help, and so another 15 minutes went by before my car came.
And these clowns require you to sign a contract for 1 year of parking and give them an extra month’s rent up front, probably because they suck so badly and know that people will leave without these handcuffs.
DO NOT EVEN THINK OF PARKING HERE ON A MONTHLY BASIS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
