This place sells pizza that misleads and misrepresents what NYC pizza is all about. Yes it is a cheap place to get a slice, It was 11pm, on a Friday night and nowhere else was open for a quick bite. I saw the light when I smelled the pizza but that was all that it was. I order to slices of the white pizza, the crust was somewhat think and it was a bit burnt. The store itself is like a small closet and they do have variety at the window, what appears to be different types of pizza. My co-worker ordered bufalo pizza, totally sucked. All I saw was a slice of pizza with some orange lines on a white background. Certainly it did not look and it did not taste like what was advertised as. To get back to my slice, there was a bit of ricotta and cheese but the slice was somewhat dry. Lesson learned go home next time hungry and have cereal. The pizza at this place is horrible. Not sure how long they will stay in business but based on what I tasted they may have gone down the tubes already…

Good stuff! Had a slice of pepperoni and sausage and a slice with fresh mozzarella. Quick service. Nice and hot. Great crust. And Hanover Square is a really cool place to eat.

DONOT even bother to place a large lunch order from this place. They lose it and don’t even call you to ask what the order was. If I didn’t reconfirm an order I placed to make sure it would arrive for my large business meeting we would be sitting waiting for food that never arrived. Then when you call they can’t even help you. What a huge disappointment because we are a large corporation and we would have been glad to refer Pizza Pizza for multiple parties but obviously they cannot handle it.

A solid pizza place in a hood that has very few. Not a place to go out of your way for but not a bad place.

Fast, cheap, tasty. What more could you ask for in a slice? Yes there are nicer establishments and more exotic, flavorful pies but if you only have a few minutes for lunch Downtown and are looking for an authentic New York style pizza — I challenge you to find something better than Pizza Pizza.

Riding up the elevator after picking up my pizza one of my neighbors asked me where I got my pizza. When I told him it was Pizza Pizza he rattled off several places in the neighborhood that he thought were better. After eating the pizza I now agree. It’s also on the expensive side, but I’m sure their rent is ridiculously high.

ABSOLUTELYDISGUSTING! My colleagues & I ordered two«meatball» parm heros & one chicken. We picked them up ourselves & came straight back to the office to find that they were ICECOLD in the center. We were starving so attempted to take out the meatballs w/the congealed cheese & just heat that part up in the microwave. In doing so, I noticed that the meatballs were not even meatball but mystery meat. I stupidly tasted one tiny bite because I gave it the benefit of the doubt for being overcooked. WRONG. I ate some of the bread and cheese just because I was starving which was still a bad mistake. My stomach has been KILLINGMESINCE! My colleague took a bite as well before I could warn him & he said that definitely was not beef. He ate some bread w/the sauce & cheese too and sure enough, his stomach is killing him also. Bad enough they served us recycled sandwiches, but clearly even the cheese & sauce had been recycled and reheated so many times, it was rancid!

I’ve only been here twice, only because I was in the area. The 1st time I ordered a Sicilian slice, the 2nd time I tried the regular. Both were mediocre at best. It’s just not that good.

Pretty tasty pizza for an over populated pizza area. Go for the margherita square pie… always hits the spot!

I came here twice. The first time i had there margarita square and it was bursting with flavor. Oh man that is tastey. The second time i had the buffalo chicken slice and was not impressed at all so i got another margarita square and it made up for it… next time ill get the regular margarita slice and see how that works out. But i have a strong feeling that this places best product will be that margarita square. The square is very thin, has a nice stiff feel to it and the crust is very crunchy, yet there is some softness to the inside. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness for the type of slice it is.

Way to go with customer service. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza for which we paid $ 2.75 extra for and ended up with a pizza with just pepperoni on it. Fine, we ordered this through Seamlessweb which says to call the restaurant directly so we did. The guy on the phone tells us NOT to touch the pizza that was delivered and they will send us another one with the mushrooms on it. WHAT?! What are they going to do with the cold ass pizza that’s sitting in front of us? They will just throw it out, right? No, you make this right, you send us another pizza, it was your mistake or send us something else, but to tell us to make an exchange and not to touch the pizza that was sent to us and make us wait another half hour for another pizza is insane. «Sorry, I’m just an employee. It’s not my policy.» And yes, when the delivery guy came back, he actually opened up the box to the old pizza to make sure it was not eaten. Ughh. WTF?! Never again.

Surprisingly good pizza for the Financial District. I find myself coming here more than I would like for lunch, and I recommend their«Grandma» slice which is essentially a square slice with a heavy dose of garlic and chunks of tomato for tomato sauce. All the other slices have fairly high turnover rate, so you can generally get a fresh slice. For the times when slices might be sitting there however, the reheat process makes them taste just as good. Was not expecting to find good pizza below Spring Street, but I find myself pleasantly surprised.

Those creative geniuses that named their burger restaurant«Burger Burger» had at it again when it came to opening up a sister restaurant. After careful reflection and a nod towards playful redundance, they decided to call their pizzeria, «Pizza Pizza». Any thoughts of Little Caesar’s be damned. I actually like the different burgers they offer up at Burger Burger, so I was kind of looking forward to trying the Pizza Pizza pizza via Seamless Web. We kept it pretty simple: a regular 18-inch pie($ 15.95) with pepperoni($ 3) and roasted garlic($ 2.75). Let me tell you, they do not skimp on the garlic! You can smell it immediately, with that amazing aroma, and, of course, you could taste it throughout. It tasted wonderful, but it is definitely not date-friendly. The pepperoni was thin, but otherwise not memorable. The crust was substantial and a bit thicker than I would have expected for a thin-crust pizza. As such, I was not able to eat as much as I normally would. It generally tasted pretty good with a decent sauce, but the higher price point for a strictly non-gourmet pie is difficult to justify. Good, but not my go-to pizza delivery spot. I’ll stick to the Burger Burger burgers.

I am going to TRY to make this short and sweet… just like our visit. Yes, i had a groupon. Yes, they knew what they were doing with it. The gentleman behind the counter was polite helpful and really friendly. When you look at the menu online they show the ability to order online– where youll find grinders, salads ect. When you go in, its a pizza by the slice joint– no salads ect. Not a huge deal. Pizza was nice and fresh, nothing special but not bad. Prices were decent and location, although imo this is in the middle of nowhere, is nice bc you can take your pizza and walk to the water/parks nearby. The service and cleanliness gets 5 stars, but the lack of «pizza wow» only gets 3… the location and ability to park easily bring it up to a 4

Today was my first time at Pizza Pizza. I ended up there because of my dilemma with their sister restaurant Burger Burger. Please read my review of Burger Burger and you will understand. Since we were forced to find something around the area to eat, after being denied a certificate that we paid for at Burger Burger, we decided to eat at Pizza Pizza since it was on the same block. We ordered a large Mushroom Whole Wheat pie. It was $ 16.95. It was good upon my first bite. Not too cheesy, not too much dough and it was crunchy, just the way I like. They could have added more mushrooms though. My bf and I split the pie. We ate around 130pm. It was quite tasty. A little expensive, but it’s FiDi. Overall, a very good pie. Much better than Adriens, which is right around the corner. Since we ordered a pie, we had to sit around and wait. While we were sitting, I was watching the pizza guys make the pizzas. It’s a very small place so you can’t help but to observe your surroundings. I don’t know if gloves are mandatory when handling food, but the pizza guys were definitely not wearing gloves.(I am assuming they are mandatory). I was a disgusted watching that, but I already paid for the pizza and I let it go. I was being hopeful that I wouldn’t get sick because I’m sure numerous other restaurant workers don’t use gloves when preparing food. So come 5pm, my bf and I both have stomach pains. Neither of us ate anything after the pizza. We both had some water and that was about it. The stomach pains turns into severe stomach pains. We believe we got sick from the pizza since that was the only thing the both of us ate today. It could have been the handling of the food without gloves or maybe some ingredient used was expired. Needless to say, our Friday night is not ruined. I am sitting at home in pain writing this review at 9pm. While we were eating, I saw the cash register girl wipe tables with the windex. I don’t think she was wearing gloves, but I can’t be sure. She stopped cleaning and went back to the registers because someone was paying. I saw her place the windex back on a shelf, which was very close to the food preparation area. It couldn’t have been more than a foot away. She then proceeded to ring up the customers. Now, I don’t know if she handles food or only handles money, but as far as I know, windex or any cleaning agent shouldn’t be in such close proximity to food preparation areas. For all I know, she could have touched the food and that is how we got sick. We will never know. The sad thing is, the pizza tasted very food. We would definitely go back, BUT because we got sick, we are not. Witnessing the lack of gloves and cleaning agents being so close to the food also makes me not want to go back. If not for these negatives, I would’ve given this place 5 stars. I really wish this weren’t so, but yes, my bf and I got sick from eating here today. I hope someone from the department of health reads this so someone else doesn’t get sick.

not sure what everyone is raving about. .stopped in there @ 2:45pm and they were nice enough to give me the 1 specialty slice + regular slice and a can of soda for $ 5.95 special which is from 3−5pm. I got a slice of buffalo chicken and regular. and they made Elios look good. Cold, burnt crust, funky tasting(and lack of) cheese, not so great sauce. I hope they have a better slices during regular lunch time as this late lunch was pathetic.

Stopped in for a quick bite before seeing a movie at the Elevated Acre on Water Street. Very small seating area, but I was there at around 7pm, so most of the working folks in the area had gone home and the place was empty save for me and one other customer. I had an exceptionally tasty Chipotle chicken slice. Nice flavor, with a healthy amount of onion slices cooled into the sauce. They have some really sweet-looking flat-screen TVs(that were showing GOLF on ESPN… smh), so I could see myself making a return visit and watching some sports.
