There are so many options and I couldn’t decide on a pie. Thankfully Ashley was working the register and super helpful! She asked what I like in pizza, explained a few pies and I finally decided on the Italian Wedding bakers pie. Super delicious! Check in on Unilocal for a free brownie!

You can’t get any better pizza in the area, specially veggie options are amazing. They have nice options of salad and soups. Decent breakfast offerings. Big Fan of this place!

It’s a tiny little place that at first when you walk in you may think it’s a bakery because the first thing you may see are the pasteries. The pizza herr is good. Not amazing but good. The crust are thin and crunchy. They have unique flavors there. The Margarita pizza reminded me of pizza from europe. not too much cheese or sauce. The pizza isn’t a huge oily typical new York slice. It was actually not greasy at all. If you get there before they close all pizza are 2 for $ 5. The place has limited bench seating. 7 stools. More of a take out place.

Went around 6:30 and the monthly slice was sold out along with a lot of others. I’m assuming this is ideal for during the day where you can get all the fresh slices that you desire. I got the wedding slice which was delicious. Loved the crust being thin and able to hold the toppings on top. Since there weren’t too many other options that I would shell money out for, that is the only slice I got. I checked in for the free brownie and although not stated on Unilocal,I guess you need to spend $ 10 to get it. she hooked me up anyway but the brownie wasn’t anything to write home about(not complaining about something free, just wouldn’t buy it in the future). I would absolutely stop by again to see what else they have to offer. They also had other food there like soups, stuffed peppers etc. oh and desserts! Try it out if you are shopping in bloomingdales/nearby stores or if you work in the area.

I moved from the NE to Florida 8 years ago and have missed really good pizza more than just about any other food. I came to NYC last week and tried a couple of places that were just not it. That changed big time today when I walked into pizza by Certe. Ashley and Nicole took very good care of me. They suggested and did not disappoint. I had the Lafayette and Italian wedding, both on another level. Thin, crispy, just delicious. The great service topped it off to earn my 5 stars. I love people who share their passion and pride for what they do. I’ll be back!

I just found out about this little gem! I work in the area and a coworker told me that it was a very good place to grab lunch or breakfast. I tried it out yesterday and went back today for more. Everything is always made fresh. They have visuals of the salads which really helps in choosing what you want to order. I highly recommend the eggplant parm sandwich and arugula salad and the classic caesar salad(comes with parmesan crispy peices that are delish) You have to try this place!

Close to work so I come here decently often. Nice place, mostly built for takeout. But there are a couple of seats in the window. Don’t count on them. Pizza is good — lots of toppings, spread out, so you get a little of everything in each bite. But not so full that the bread gets bogged down, you know? The crust is perfect and medium, not too skinny, not too fat. Not too crispy, not too doughy. And the flavors are very interesting too — over the winter they had a «Thanksgiving» slice that literally tasted like Thanksgiving dinner, without being weird or gross. And you can never go wrong with the Italian Meatball slice. Certe also has salads, pastries, and apparently the brownies are pretty good too! Since they are close to work, I get the catering really often(sandwiches, salads, fruit trays). That’s not as mindblowing as the pizzas, but it’s solid.

Popped into here from the enticing checkin: free brownie. Dude. Worth the $ 10 minimum. Pretty dope dark chocolatey brownie. Not boring and not dry. Great blend of cakey and fudgy. Also the pizza is okay. What I was supes impressed with was the meatball sandwich. It looks small for $ 7. But it packs a punch. It looks more like a burger than a meatball. Hands down some of the best meat balls I’ve ever put in my mouth hole. Definitely a great /cheaper upper east side eat spot. Go hence and put some balls in your mouth. Also the manfrand ordered the breakfast pizza and it was phenomenal. Delightful deal for $ 12.

My boyfriend and I have been ordering from here for over a year. We finally stumbled upon the place by total accident and were SO excited to see where this incredible pizza was birthed. We couldn’t help but order two chicken parm sandwiches(one of our favorite things on the menu) just cause. The woman behind the counter was extremely kind and understood our excitement — she even gave us a brownie on the house :). Love this place.

Have ordered from here twice to cater lunch. It’s really good pizza with the freshest ingredients that you can taste. Add the fact that they’re environment friendly, and you will be eating delicious and guilt-free pizza. I love how convenient it is to my office and glad to know that they do catering orders as well. My office had nothing but good reviews about this pizza. The pizza slices are giant and just the right ratio of dough to sauce, cheese, toppings.

I am obsessed with this place! The pizza flavors are unlike any other pizzerias in NYC. The make their dough with alkaline water and some of their dough is made with a quinoa crust. The staff is just awesome! Friendly and always courteous!

I ordered their only vegan option: the vegan socca. It is a chick pea flatbread filled with mushrooms, roasted red peppers, hummus, and topped with fresh basil. It comes as a circle cut into four slices. It came out hot and was delicious with a good amount of each ingredient. And even though I wished the flatbread was a bit thicker, it still had great chick pea flavor. While they don’t have much seating, they still have at least some bar stools if you need to eat there. But note they play the music pretty loud. The lack of seating and loud music gave off a bad vibe when I first walked in. So I was surprised when I was received by the workers so nicely. They are more than willing to answer any questions or help with whatever you need. They also offered me a piece of a chocolate cookie they were sampling. And when you give me free samples, it’s hard for me not to like you!

The store is really small, it’s almost like a hole in the wall. Nobody stays to eat their lunch because there’s no tables or chairs(at least I didn’t see any). It’s really a place for people to come get their lunch and bring it back to their office or on the go. Their pizza boxes are really cute. It can be split into individual plates so you can share. How awesome. Their pizza is so thin and crunchy, so delicious. It’s an affordable, not expensive place in the city to go for lunch. One of my coworker introduced this place to me and I ordered their margherita and pepperoni slice and they were both good. My coworkers ordered their bianco slice, buffalo artichoke slice, san francisco slice, and regular slice. They all said it was delicious! No wonder my coworkers goes there so often. There is a little sample bowl of brownie for you to try at the register. If you like some, you can purchase it. I normally don’t eat brownies and these brownies are like crack. Oh! They also give you a free small bag full popcorn. Overall, a good place for a quick lunch!

I visited here years ago but didn’t really appreciate what was being offered until recently. It’s fresh and refreshing. They grow herbs on their walls, they use fresh local ingredients, and it shows(tastes?). They had so many options I wanted to try them all, my friend was laughing… The pizza pomodoro was so tasty. The crust was nice and crunchy, while the sauce was so good, with a really balanced flavor, and it was wet. Light on the cheese which I don’t mind. My friend and I also got the fried spaghetti balls, like a rice ball but filled with spaghetti and ricotta with mozzarella, almost like baked ziti in a fried ball. I liked it, my friend really liked it. The best part for me was the side of sauce they gave, Woof their sauce is so good and tasty. I drank my cup after I ate the Fried Spaghetti ball. The folks at the counter were very pleasant and accommodated our questions. …I will definitely return, and I bet my friend will as well. Gotta try more :)

The best pizza in midtown. Fresh, local, eco and delicious. This is my go to spot whenever I’m hungry, and I’m picky eater. So many options for vegetarians! Also, amazing service, Ashley at the front has become family to me. Would recommend to everyone!

Since a PBC representative was kind and invested enough to read and comment on my review, I gave them another try. After picking up food for two lunches, I’m now up to 3.5-stars with them. At this point, I’d choose to go to them if in the area, even if I wasn’t with someone in need of the type of cuisine they offer. However, in order to get a full 4-stars, I need their turn around time to improve. For one lunch, tried the Chicken Milanese Wrap, which was actually quite delicious, and stuffed to overflowing. The sauteed rapini was wonderful. Now one of my favorite leafy green side dishes in the area. Perfectly cooked, very generous portion… just awesome. For another, I tried the fried spaghetti and the buffalo chicken stromboli. Fried spaghetti was a fun idea. A bit bland… rustic tomato sauce on the side also bland. But creamy fried spaghetti goodness. The stromboli was on point. The gentleman who helped me once I received was really professional, friendly, and did his best to expedite my order. However, I called this order in, just like last time. Received pleasant phone customer service. Was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later… and the order hadn’t even been started. Again, the really awesome male employee worked to pump it out. But now we have a pattern of «out of sight, out of mind». So I’d now recommend them for walk in. Can’t speak on delivery, and certainly can’t recommend calling in ahead of time, and thinking you’re going to save any time.

This my very first NYC pizza adventure, and it was freaking amazing! They some eccentric combinations that magically seemed to work extremely well together. They also had subs, and other classic pizzas which were all made fresh! Really good place!

We got some pasta and pizza for the kids. I think the kitchen has a good chef looking over it, as the pasta was perfectly made. We tried a couple of different slices too and we came out very happy with the choice we made. Tha k you and keep up the good work.

Walking through Manhattan and needed some sustenance — jumped on my Unilocal app and ended up here after reading a couple reviews. Cool little spot, limited bar-type seating and apparently a favorite for take-out as people were hustling in and out during my visit. Damn good pizza — Caponata was amazing. Sweet and spicy with perfectly cooked crust. Rice ball with beef — I could probably live off these as long as I could wear stretchy sweatpants all day. They come with a tasty cup of tomato gravy to poor on or for dipping — damn good –boomshakalaka! I didn’t try them but they have some tasty looking pastries and deserts as well. I wanted to give the Red Velvet Roll a whirl but I was too stuffed after my second Rice Ball. Next time. Next time.

I’ve ordered take out from here a few times, and I think it is now time for me to stop and find a new place. My husband kept vouching/pushing for us to go here as it is highly rated, he had a deal, and it’s close to us, and the pictures look good, however it never satisfies me. It is in no regard ‘bad pizza’, however, the flavors just aren’t there or tasty for me. It’s nothing special and I would most definitely NOT take out of town-ers here if they wanted to get a taste for good New York pizza. This past time we got a full pie of the Bolognese, and I’ve tried 5 or 6 other flavors/types(by the slice) — which btw is not cheap. The Bolognese is okay … the bread/crust is good, but the pizza itself was meh … I ate 1 slice and was pretty much done. I think I would say the pizza either needs more sauce, or the meat needs more flavor… I felt like all the different pies were just toppings and crust, none of the flavors or mixes of toppings stood out to me and were yummy — and I really LOVE A LOT of different pizza places in the city … which is why I was shocked at how indifferent I was about Pizza by Certe I think this will be my last time here and I would not recommend this place to others(for pizza — as I haven’t tried their other things). The one thing that is nice, is this place opens at 8am, so if you need mediocre pizza early in the morning, this may be your spot!

Super friendly young guy ran the counter(well, after the pretty nasty older guy who was there when I arrived and just disappeared) and was glad to take the Amazon Local voucher and stack it with their Unilocal checkin offer*. Four slices: ccu, bianco, godfather, & farmer $ 16.51(more than the gruff guy led me to believe when quoting prices, which they don’t list). Somewhat greasy but super-satisfying and pretty innovative slices. Skipped fried spaghetti ball, and finished out the order with the cookies & milk, which rounded out the $ 20. *They were out of the Vahlrona brownie, to the dismay of an older female customer who walked in requesting it and it alone, leaving dejected with nada when he gave the bad news. It must be quite good, which is a shame, as the gianduja profiterole that he allowed me to substitute for it was underwhelming. Apparently some things are 40% off after 4pm $ 20 to Spend on Food and Drink Pizza by Certé Price: x $ 10.00 Promotional code discount: — $ 1.50 Total: $ 8.50

So cute!

Ordered delivery from this place for the first time yesterday and it is fantastic! The toppings are fresh and the crust is thin and crunchy. I ordered an individual pie and it took me two days to finish, so at $ 10 it’s a great deal! I also like that they let you put your own individual pie together with high quality toppings. I will definitely be a repeat customer!
