Pinky’s Jamaican and American Restaurant

Ok. So this spot should’ve received 10 stars!!! I can honestly say Pinkys has the best jerk chicken in Harlem. If you are looking for an authentic meal… you seriously have to go. Its the only restaurant on the block and the best! Oh and the rice is so good, you don’t even need gravy!

Went here for the first time last night. It was almost closing time so they didn’t have a lot of sides left but I got veggie plate (rice and peas with curry sauce, macaroni, and cabbage). It was pretty darn good. The owner was really nice and friendly. I’d go back here for sure, earlier in the day to make sure I get some greens! :)

Best Jamaican restaurant uptown, PERIOD. The aroma from the BBQ Jerk Chicken they make daily lures you in and you’re caught. The other entrees like the curry goat, stew chicken, are seasoned as if on the coast of Jamaica right as you stand there… just amazing. I eat here almost DAILY. This place is awesome, a true Harlem staple. I highly recommend!

Best Jamaican food ever! I’ve tried several in the Harlem area, but nothing tops Pinky’s. I highly recommend trying the CURRY CHICKEN and Mac&Cheese! I get my curry chicken fix at least once per week. That’s my go-​to meal after a very long day at work! Also, if you are lucky, you will be greeted and served by Pinky herself. That’s the real reward, authenticity.

Ok so dig this, I love Jamaican food. With all of my heart. There’s a lot of great places in New York to choose from. Pinky’s though? Best Jamaican food I’ve had in YEARS! I had the brown stew chicken and lost my mind. I thoroughly suggest you go in there and get you a platter.

I’m just going to keep this simple… This is the best Caribbean food in the area… Hands down… I come down from 172^nd and by pass alot of places to get to Pinkys… I haven’t had a bad meal yet from here. The staff is always nice and its just a great option for the area. Try the Brown Stew and the Jerk Chicken is awesome… Like seriously…

Horrible place, went here twice to use my Groupon. Both times they refused to accept and said I can only use it to get chicken. I showed them that no such exceptions were on it and the guy continued to argue with me. That’s NOT the way to stir up new business.

Customer service and portions were pathetic. I paid $ 7.00 for cold chicken and rice. These people don’t want loyal customers or business. There are better Jamaican restaurants out there.

I bought a Groupon offer for this restaurant and they refused to honor it. Heads up to the owners don’t offer a deal if you can’t afford it. Personally now I could care less if your restaurant served the Best food on earth. I took the time to make a purchase at your restaurant but I wasted my time. So I will tell the public to spend your hard earned money some where else this business is a no go for me.

This restaurant has the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
I agree with the other person who left a comment about why they shouldnt offer coupons through Groupon. I went there to use a groupon on the Friday before it was set to expire. As I show them the coupon at the window (which listed absolutely no restrictions) they told me I cant” use it today… come back Mon thru Thurs”. I then mentioned that it expires soon and will no longer be valid on Monday. Then she asked for my phone to see the app, I told her I havent downloaded it. She says «we only use Groupon on di phone». After conferring with someone hiding behind a covered window they wrote a note on the paper allowing an extension. I then showed the person at the counter my heavy bags and explained that I would like to use it today as I already came so far out of my way with this load and that they cant just make up rules on the spot as they feel. When they realized that although I was pleasant, I wasnt going to accept the BS an Indian man (who I believe was a manager or owner of sorts) grabbed the sheet and VIOLENTLY TORE IT UP!!! (:O Really, sir!) At that point he yells to the girl, give her the plate! Then the girl asks me what I want and I ask for the oxtails. She proceeds to tell me that only the chicken can be purchased on the Groupon. At this point I no longer had the energy to argue with them and just ordered a chicken dish so I can get out of there. The Indian guy (still cussin) gets a container and proceeds to fill it to about 75% with rice. Needless to say this could have gone a lot differently if they were to stand up to their offer or not participate with Groupon at all.
There is no way on earth I will ever give them a dime of my money!!!

Jah know, I really want to like Pinky’s because the food is good but they should stop offering coupons. Is always some bs when you show up with a groupon. «Not on weekends», «dine in only» Is which part dem have dining area? Where does it say in your restrictions? It doesn’t ! Unless you change that now. It’s not worth di bag a argument when there are other places nearby. Stop offering coupons cause they only make oonuh miserable.

Oxtails are perfectly tender, not too fatty. Everything is perfectly seasoned. I literally didn’t love oxtails until Pinky. Yes.

Delicious!!! I had the jerk chicken with jerk sauce, rice and peas with oxtail gravy, cabbage and sweet plantains & my fiancé had the oxtail and rice and peas which was also delicious! Good authentic Jamaican food!!! They said that they are 24 hours but they are not!!!

This place is DELICIOUS. The service was amazing and the food was even better. The owner was super nice and welcoming. So glad there is finally a GOOD Jamaican place in Harlem. I’ll definitely be going back sooner than later!

Best Jamaican cusine in Harlem. Hands down. From curry chicken to the oxtails, to the jerk chicken, everything is A+. The icing on the cake is the fact that they deliver and are open 24 hours monday-​sunday. The owner is friendly too!
