Great friendly staff! My first time visiting and the girl was beyond sweet and found a last flourless chocolate pie! I will be coming back on my next trip!

I always see Pie Face all over walking in NYC. I decided to try it. I love that they have mini pie faces, so you can try different ones. That way if you don’t like the flavor, you won’t be wasting it. Plus it’s quite cute with all the faces on it. I would definitely go back and try different flavors.

So you’re a typical tourist walking around Manhattan and after a delish dinner at a Brazilian joint, you’re in the mood for desserts, especially an apple pie, right? Well, lo and behold, I find a bakery called pie face that makes mini pies. And I’m so glad that I stumbled upon this place, thanks to Unilocal, because their pie was delish. My co-worker ordered the apple pie, and he let me try a bite, and although it was yummy, my pecan pie was just superb. The crust was perfectly made with the right balance of sweetness and the perfect amount of pecans. I was told that the flourless chocolate pie was good, too. My other co-worker had the cherry pie, and she was speechless. So I think you should check this out. They’re open very late, past midnight. The service was superb and the price was decent. Try this place since the concept of desserts to go, especially pies, just got re-invented here.

I had the chocolate mini pie and coconut cream mini pie. They were good, but not super amazing. Perfect size and good crust. Too much filling in the chocolate. The coconut cream was sweet, but alittle dry. The service was very friendly!

The Aussie experience in Manhattan seems to be doing well. The evolution of cake continues. From traditional full size pies and cakes, to doughnuts, cronuts, cupcakes and mini pan sweets, we have now arrived at the micro-pie for either sweet or savory taste buds. When we walked by just past midnight the lights were on and the staff appeared in clean up mode. The colorful treats in the display called out to us their siren song of sweet possibilities. Irresistible. We stood silently until noticed. Sincere apologies. We were enjoying the sights and aromas and did not mind the invisibility. We ordered a couple of Apple Crumb and Lemon Pies, and decaf for our late night snack, and enjoyed the cute packaging. Both pies were very good. The right apple firmness and crumb crunch. The lemon creamy tartness balanced by graham cracker crust. Each, a three bite delight. Pie Face? Stuff yer face!

We’re in from CA and wanted to stop somewhere close to the intercontinental after going to a play. It was slightly after 1am when we dropped by and the place was closed. We waited around for about 8 minutes but the only person to show was the delivery guy. Since both the signage in the window and Unilocal says 24hours we assumed it does not close. I hope this issue is fixed for those that will be in the area

I tried a couple of their mini savory pies, and they were excellent. Highly recommend the pizza one. The service was very good. Fun décor and pretty packaging. There are multiple locations.

Extremely friendly service! Much better than the one on Broadway and 53rd. Sweet pies are pretty much the same. I love their little cheesecakes and the brownies are terrific. Still need to try some savory pies. If you want just a small amount of sweet, this is the place, even if it is located in the middle of a tourist hell-zone.

Went here for a quick snack with the girlfriend and got 3 of the sweet pies! Got: Pear n‘ Ricotta, Apple Pie, and a Chocolate one! Prices are reasonable at about $ 2 — $ 3 each especially being located in Times Square.

Love the concept! Love having pie for breakfast! The coffee was terrible though … and their coffee thermoses were empty(I think it’s a faux paux for any place to be out of coffee at 9:00 am in the middle of NYC) I had the pulled pork pie — which was way too tart for me. I ended up scooping out the insides and eating the crust. Van had the Thai curry pie which tasted much better.

I had been wanting to try Pie Face foot a year now and finally had the opportunity. Unfortunately, what a let down. I noticed meat rolls, and inquired as to what they were. «Just the pie cubebs in a roll form?» I asked. Staff was unable to explain, and simply recited the varieties offered. I decided best off to go with a pie, and ordered the tandoori vegetable. It had distinct Indian flavors which I appreciated. I also weren’t for the smash and gravy add-on. Bad idea. It was a glob of mashed potatoes typed with puréed peas and then gravy poured on top. It was so unappetizing looking that it was hard to get past. But, I ultimately did eat it. The pie alone would have been better than the mash topping. But, even the pie itself wouldn’t convince me to return to this chain again.

Oh yum! We stopped in late on Sunday night after too much walking and shopping. My friend and I each ordered three savory mini-pies. They ranged from pretty darn good to outstanding, with only one kinda blah one. The chunky steak was delish — really tasted like a steak pot pie! The tandoori veggie was a last-minute choice, but I’m glad I made it! It was spicy, rich, and completely awesome. The Thai chicken curry was the only disappointment. It tasted just like regular chicken, without the zing of a Thai curry. Unrelated, I was kind of shocked at how filling three little-looking pies could be! We had to take our three sweet mini-pies to go, because we were just too full to eat them. But eventually we did — the apple crumble was a huge standout, with gorgeous spices like ginger all combining into a tasty whole. The cherry was good, but I felt there was too much pie crust and not enough filling. The lemon custard was a little less good than expected, with a yucky graham cracker crust and not quite enough lemon kick. But overall I’d definitely go back, especially because they are open 24 hours a day!

Passed by one of these and decided to try out one of the savory pies. I ordered a Thai Chicken Curry pie stacked(the pie topped with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green pea paste). The toppings were good, if not just a bit on the salty side. The same could be said of the filling. The crust was fairly sturdy and had a light buttery taste to it. My biggest disappointment was with the chicken itself though. Aside from one or two pieces the rest of the chicken had a grayish color to it. The rest of the ingredients cover up their taste, but it was a bit of a letdown to see that. All in all I give this place three stars mainly because I thought the staff was friendly and the price of the savory pies pretty fair.

I stopped here for lunch today and I’m really glad I did. They have cute little pies in great flavors, and even cuter mini pies that you can mix and match. I got three pies for $ 6.25 total — chunky steak, pork bbq and thai curry chicken. All have a lovely flaky pie crust. The chunky steak was my favorite and lived up to its name. There were nice bite-sized pieces of steak in a thick but smooth gravy. There were no off flavors and the meat was tender. The pork bbq was good, the meat could have been a little more chunky and the sauce could have been a little smokier for my taste, but maybe that’s just me. The thai curry chicken was also good, although at first I thought they’d made a mistake and had given me a regular chicken pot pie. It wasn’t until I was halfway through that the curry flavor came through. I guess if you are expecting a strong curry flavor, this pie might underwhelm you. Overall I found the food very enjoyable. I did not order a sweet pie and now I’m regretting it, because the sweet flavors look really good. I think the next time I go I will order two savory and one sweet.

From what I gather, this is one location of a relatively new chain that serves sweet and savory pies, small cakes, and coffee/hot chocolate. I think it’s really neat that they do things like bacon, egg, and cheese pies, but I was full from dinner, so I didn’t try one, however, I did order the hot chocolate and I wish I got a bigger size. It was super chocolatey and decadent and everything a hot chocolate should be. Definitely recommend. Also this location is great, because it’s right in the theater district, so you can get a dessert after seeing a show and this place is also open 24 hours which is a plus. I definitely have to come back and actually try a pie though.

My boyfriend and I need a quick bite before running around the city. I’ve seen a couple of these Pie Face stores around NYC and I decided to stop in because it looked like they had on the run food. Once we walked in, the café smelled immediately of baked goods. Once I looked into their display case, I saw so many cute mini pies with faces on them. Hence, the name, Pie Face. You can choose from different types of savory and sweet pies, along with pastries. My boyfriend and I decided on the ham and swiss croissant and the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. We also ordered a mini apple pie just because. The croissants were yummy, crispy, and big. We were both happy with our choices. The pie was very good also, it just lacked a bit of filling, but otherwise, it had a perfect pie texture. This place is apparently an Austrilian chain, I hope they come to SF some day because I enjoyed my experience at Pie Face.

What’s not to like about a shop that sells mini pies with faces drawn on them? I don’t know. Long wait maybe? But for pie, pie is worth waiting for.

is the face a pie? is it a pie in the face? no matter, eat pie. I guess this is a new specialty fad bakery(c.f. cupcake bakeries, cookie bakeries, gluten free bakeries, cream puff, bread bakeries, etc etc etc). But THIS, this is different, this is PIE. I’m not gonna lie, it was all in the name that drew me in here. I got the apple crumble pie. It was pie. Good pie. A cute mini well-priced pie. My sister had a similar experience with a different type of pie… It was also pie. I mean, obvi, if you’re having a pie craving, this is prob the best place to go. But if you have a coffee craving, it’s not nearly as good, but it’s still caffeine.

This branch of the Pie Face chain just opened. It offers the same items as other locations: mini sweet pies, savory pies, pastries, sandwiches, and coffees.
