Worst bagel place ever. Not one bagel. No egg, onion, egg-onion…went through the whole list. Wind up just getting a bagel that had the same texture and consistency as a whole wheat bagel. Don’t be fooled by the name or the size of the place. They have nothing. Smoothies? Cupcakes? Muffins? But you chose a title with bagels. Choose a plain bagel here!

The workers are not very helpful here but if you know exactly what you want then this place is great. I tried asking about a product and the last just starred at me like I wasn’t making sense… All I wanted to know is if their frappé had actual coffee in it or if it’s like mc donalds and just had coffee flavor… Not super hard? Right? The bagel was delicious. I had the cinnamon raise bagel with the raisin walnut cream cheese.

I stopped by because of the long line, picked the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese(seemed like the popular choice), and I have to say, I was definitely not disappointed. They also load up the bagels here with an abundance of cream cheese. The bagel was a tad too salty for my taste though.

The bagels are not good, not fresh. Inexcusable for a place with this name. I went in expecting a superior bagel it was way below average. Not much better then a deli bagel. Disappointed

so in the AM they accepted my credit card and by the PM, approximately 7pm, magically they were a «cash only» establishment. Hmm.

I was warned about the chaos inside, but wanted to try based on positive feedback about the food. The Good: Very tasty, super friendly with a great selection. I would love to go back. The Bad: The ordering process is chaotic and unruly. Two doors in with one«order here» sign smack dab in the middle. I figured me not knowing where to line up was my issue, until other people asked where to go and I can hear the counter staff instructing customers on where to line up. Definitely needs to be more organized.

Horrible, horrible. When you enter, do you see the«ORDERHERE» sign? Despite what it tells you to do, do NOT stand there to order. Because instead of taking your order, the staff will cater to other older pushy women(who are not in line, of course) who will loudly voice their orders before you even have a chance to speak yours. They’re lucky I’m a quiet Asian girl– otherwise I would’ve flipped a s***

Being that I work overnight, this place is always open and ready to deliver. This place has everything from sandwiches to salads wraps. Great selection of coffee at the coffee bar. Don’t get intimidated by the line when you see it. It moves very fast! Whether it’s a backeggandcheese or just chicken noodle soup, this place will surely be open and ready to serve!

I’m always impressed by how FAST the service is. There’s always a line but a very short wait. It’s a little over priced(the coffee for example) but this place definitely always comes in handy early in the morning or late at night. The foods not bad not the Best either but it’s a bagel place so what do you expect. The muffins aren’t very flavorful. stick with the soup or bagels

We loved this place and were there for breakfast everyday. They have tofu cream cheese spray which was common but great for someone who has lactose intolerance or are vegan. It’s on a very convenient spot, right next to subway entrance. You can literally grab and go. The bagel itself is very chewy. Inside is soft and very nice texture. The salt bagel flavor is my favorite but too much salt. I normally scratch off most of the sea salt before I eat them. One star off is because on the way home, we order a dozen to go so I can bring them back to LA. The staff told us he got it, and would wrap them individually for us. Then by the time we got there, they didn’t have any salt bagel at all! That’s very dishonest way of running business. Other than that, everything was great.

I don’t usually like to bite the hand that feeds me but I do come here solely out of convenience. The coffee is not very good at all and I have given it many tries. And the bagels are pretty hit or miss. When I do order a bagel it’s always a whole grain bagel with lox spread and sometimes they make the cut pretty effectively. My biggest problem with this joint is that no one seems to really be on the same page with the prices because every time I come in here I place the same exact order but I receive a different price each time. However, I do commend the staff on being very pleasant on each of my visit, I appreciated that much.

For this place, prepare for a party when you walk in. Early in the morning music is blasting, playing all the Billboard top 100 hits. I can still hear Bruno Mars singing, «Saturday night and we in the spot. Don’t believe me just watch!!» I was ordering two blueberry bagels with strawberry cream cheese. My favorite combination. Another time I ordered the pancakes, with two eggs, and two pieces of sausage. A solid deal for the price. It came out to like four or five something. The key thing here is that the location can get very busy in the mornings and yet the staff is attentive to customers trying to order. They’re accurate and on time.

PICKMEPICKME I absolutely loved this establishment! They have a wonderful staff and line service for bagels, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches! I ordered an everything bagel with half jalapeño and herb cream cheese. Each bite was a bit of heaven! However, I will ask for light cream cheese next time. Their coffee was average, but then again I’m assuming that is not their specialty, though, I would get it again. Great spot to hit up before going to Central Park and enjoying your bagel and coffee on a bench. Amazing service, I would come back solely for their staff friendliness.

24 hour bagel joint!!! Oh-Em-Gee! I’ve been craving bagels practically every morning, but too lazy to make my own(I guess it would save money if I wasn’t so lazy in the morning– oh well). Literally next to the subway outlet/entrance and always busy it seems– at least at the time I’ve gone. Great bagel options, etc. I love it. Service was good– polite & friendly. Only thing I would complain about is the rushing, I don’t like feeling rushed, I should expect that though, but I’m being picky.

Pretty much the only thing(one of the few) that is 24 hours in this area. Beware buying anything other than the food. They tried to charge me 4 dollars for a 1L bottle of water. Yes I know small business and all but that’s a 50% mark up! I do support small businesses but I hate it when they’re ripping me off for no reason. Slap a cute name on a drink and make it well and charge 5 dollars and I’ll pay it but charging me that much for stupid smart water(and it was half gone because I bought it from somewhere else) is criminal.

Very fast service, and fresh ingredients. I got an iced coffee and the woman let the credit card minimum slide. My friend got the roast beef lunch sandwich and it was amazing!

Get in line and be ready to order because the line moves quickly. This corner joint pops out bagels like you wouldn’t believe. A fat bagel with barely a hole in the middle. Doughy and crisp on the outside. Toasting makes them phenomenal. Egg bagel with plain cream cheese, a generous portion of lox, a slice of red onion, some capers — a classic is born. Here, the sandwich hold together in the confines of he bagel as it was created to do. Each bagel is served In a neatly folded wax paper and then sliced down the middle so the food can be enjoyed on the go without making a mess. $ 1.10 for the bagel. $ 1 for cream cheese. This is how it’s done folks.

Summary: Convenient 24 hour bagel shop next to the subway and hospital. The Food: Here is your standard bakery providing you with sandwiches, bagels, and coffee. It’s a bit expensive for my taste. The bagels are nothing to write home about and you can get much better bagels right down the street on 77th/1st that are cheaper and tastier. The Service: The staff is friendly and will get you what you want, but again, nothing special. Overall, decent place to get a quick breakfast if you’re in a hurry, but if you’re not, I’d recommend elsewhere.

Stopped in to get some food in my belly before a day at the museum, and this turned out to be the perfect option. There was a long line but the guys behind the counter were pretty amazing in their efficiency. I was pleased to learn that they serve their breakfast options all day on weekends. To help with weekend hangovers, they told me. I actually didn’t feel like a bagel so I went with 2 pancakes and 2 over hard eggs for $ 4.95. A pretty good deal, if you ask me. It was kind of strange that they put it in a big to go container with the eggs just resting on the pancakes even though I was eating there. There are also plenty of other options like lox, every bagel you can imagine, and some gorgeous looking muffins that I had to really strain not to buy. The staff is loud and boisterous, but all so friendly and FAST. There was a grouchy old racist lady in front of me who was complaining about this that and the other and the dude behind the counter totally took it in stride and was nice and cheerful to her the whole time. Impressive! I understand it’s a big chain but so far my experience here has been pretty darn good. In a city of great bagels maybe this isn’t at the top of every local’s list, but for me it did the trick!

Conveniently located right off the subway station. Sneaky sneaky. In a rush to get to the Met… I didn’t plan on having breakfast or even coffee… but boom Pick a Bagel was right there and«why not?» Ordered the everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. Simple and PERFECT. You can also add chicken/tuna salad, other meat, make it a breakfast bagel, etc. Long story short… there’s a plethora of choices. Anything you can think of that should go with a bagel, they got it. Prices are decent too. Staff is friendly. Pick a Bagel is perfect for when you’re on the run.
