Piccolini is one of the cutest stores ever. They have a unique selection of books, fantastic/fun toys and the most adorable clothes for the little ones! Their signature I love NY shirts with the hot dog, pretzel and king kong are super fun and cute. The staff is very helpful and kind. I would recommend you stopping by if you are in the look out for unique/thoughtful toys/clothes for a child.

Fun and adorable store with cute and amusing gifts for babies and toddlers alike, I purchased a toddler wu-tang shirt with a baby pacifier displaying fake gold teeth. My mom purchased the iconic I love NY shirt with the hot dog and pretzel. I needed a bow for my niece and she threw one in for free, because I only needed one! Great store, great customer service.

Well, what can I say? Friendly staff, small yet well organized store, good selections of New York theme books. It is hard to find the spot if you aren’t familiar with the streets in the neighborhood though.

Great selection of baby clothing, toys, books and more. Fantastic quality, and I loved the designs on the t-shirts and onesies. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Shop small!

I don’t have kids but this is my go-to store for great gifts! I get new baby gifts here, birthday presents and gifts to bring to friends when I visit. I LOVE their take on the I Heart NY Shirt with a hot dog and pretzel. I buy it for all my friends. The store looks small but they have so many awesome goodies like vintage fisher price toys and the most beautiful books. The girls that work there are super sweet and always gift wrap my presents so it makes the whole process that much easier. I HIGHLY recommend this store for locals and visitors! There is no better kids gift to bring home from NY then the Piccolini tee!

I received a gift certificate. I went to the shop. The self-sufficient lady at the counter told me that gift certificate must to be use only on their online shop. I was ready to spend more in their shop… Too bad. I went online, their website is super slow and never updated… I tried to shop for 4 months, they have always the same items sold out and no new items… Just sucks! The Nice part came at the end, once i just decided to go for something before losing that very gift certificate. I had the nice surprise to be charge 11 usd for shipping for 2 things… almost half of my certificate… Amazing!

I’d walked by Piccolini, now«PiccoliNY»(cute!), countless times when it was at its old Mulberry location. I finally stopped in to the(new-ish) Mott shop today, and I am SOGLAD I did. Piccoliny has wonderful product selection — fun, modern, edgy. Today I picked up: –A Wu-Tang tee –A black and white Frank Harding-esque baby art book –Two Rockabye Baby CDs: One lullaby renditions of Jay-Z and one lullaby renditions of the Flaming Lips –A Brooklyn-themed learning to count book You get the idea of their amazing product selection. (I’m headed back in a few weeks for a tee that reads«Brooklynite» in baseball cursive font.) But the shop owner, Alex, is what makes Piccoliny such a treasure. Friendly, caring, willing to stay open a few minutes past closing for customers(I saw it happen!). You can tell Alex really takes pride in, and loves, what she does. You can’t put a price on that — and all I can wish for Piccoliny is that they have endless years of success in their cool Little Italy/Chinatown digs. Alex — Thank you for making baby shopping not lame !!

Great store! Haven’t been there in a while, though, so it’s time. The selection of toys are unique. I go there to get toys that I know I won’t find anywhere else. This is my go-to spot for goodies for my niece. She really liked the unicorn bathrobe. I have forgotten the name of the owner but she is a really nice person. Until next time!

The best baby store around! Come here if you are looking for unique gifts/toys for a child. I love their new location and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Very New York centric for New York born and raised babies! They are known for their signature«hotdog, pretzel(I Love NY inspired)» design. Highly recommend.

I went here based on all the positive Unilocal reviews. And I loved it. The girl in the store(maybe the owner?) was really sweet and very helpful and gave me many suggestions for a newborn. It is a small store, with not a huge selection, but everything is carefully chosen and very cute.

Total amateur baby shopper here. Received a ton of help navigating the baby world and picking out the right sizes. Girls were very helpful and the selection was cool, very curated. And — boom — they gift wrapped it all!

LOVE Piccolini. I stopped in to find a birthday gift for my friend’s son and ended up finding the perfect gift for my daughter as well. The selection is fun, hip and reasonably priced. The employees are friendly, helpful and unpretentious. They even offered to wrap my gifts for free. No complaints from this mama. OK, maybe one — I end up wanting to spend more than I bargained for since I can’t resist all of the fun products this place has to offer.

Ms. Zagami I understand your concern for reviews of Piccolini so let me try to better explain why I give the store only 2 of 5 stars. Inventory lacks originality. The children items for sale may have been unique 3 years ago are all now common items in the majority of similar stores. I think inventory and style are what separate boutique stores from big box retailers and online stores. A store can also be useful by offering a large selection of items to choose from. So for example if I was looking for a cool toy from M&D it would be worth my time and money to visit your shop to be able to see and play with the many toys they offer. Unfortunately in my experience Piccolini stocks much fewer SKUs so it fails short on this service. I feel the inventory is very sparse and does not offer the consumer the benefit of selection and comparison. So, in this Unilocaler’s opinion if you are not offering anything special to the shoppers coming into the store why should they be paying such markup for common items. I am more then happy to support small and local business when they have something to offer. I do not agree with consumers subsidizing small business when they have no advantage or benefit to the consumer. I understand retail is a cut throat business but unfortunately and fortunately physical stores must demonstrate they have something to offer to survive and prosper.
