I had a(#6) «Giotto» piadina(Italian flatbread sandwich) made with Italian tuna fish(not like the much drier«American» tuna fish), fresh mozzarella cheese and mayo. It was a bit drippy(from the soft, fresh, cheese mostly) but overall a very tasty sandwich. I will be back to try some of the other varieties. I hope they make it in the big Apple with this«new/unheard of» type of fast-food. The prices are a bit higher than other NYC offerings but I guess it’s expected because of the higher priced/quality ingredients.

New Italian sandwich restaurant in Fidi which just opened up within the past week. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, both cold and hot, each made with a different combination of cold cuts, cheese, and vegetables. Their sandwiches are mostly(?) served on a Flatbread(as opposed to a thicker loaf), creating a unique texture. They also serve salads and Italian espresso, which I’ll have to try at a later time. The atmosphere is very casual and the food is reasonably priced for the area.

Stumbled upon this restaurant that just opened on my way up water street. It’s awesome new place that makes excellent«piedinas.» The quality is superb, with clean and light food. Pleasantly surprised to find a full friendly Italian staff that makes real Italian food. Great fix for a great price.

This is a taste of Rome, by far, hands down, MYABSOLUTEFAVORITE flatbread. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Today is the grand opening and I will be coming back again and again.
