What part of the sign on my door saying«NOMENUS» do you not understand?

I feel silly giving a hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout joint a 5-star review, but this place is surprisingly good. Fast, affordable, and consistently fresh and tasty food. Noodles are flavorful without being greasy, as are the other dishes I’ve tried. It may not look like much, but it’s a solid go-to in the neighborhood.

I ordered their chicken fried rice and kung pao chicken some weeks back, and I say this not to play on the familiar stereotypes of Chinese food, but: I really question if hteir chicken is chicken. The texture is bizarre, chewy, and flavorless. It seems more masked in the kung pao chicken with the extra flavors, but I will never order meat here again. Again that’s not to suggest they are substituting something untoward, just that this may be composite meat a la subway or frozen chicken dinners, with soy, flour, etc thrown in and ground up. If I’m wrong, they have my apologies, but regardless, the quality of the meat is very poor. That being said, if you want a veggie meal, the flavor is fine, and the price can’t be beat. They also seem like pretty nice people. Would not recommend, but would order when desperate.

This place is consistently good. One of the few chinese restaurants around here that will actually make the Kung Pao chicken even remotely spicy, but you have to ask for it to be «Extra extra spicy» just for it to register. Their dumplings and dumpling sauce are terrific, the fried rice is the best of any Harlem Chinese restaurants, the lo-mein is good and the sesame/general tso’s chicken is good too. I haven’t found anything here that I don’t like. Solid four stars, everytime. Good, but nothing earth-shattering. For the price, this is the best«NYC» Chinese food that I have found.

This review may be updated to 4 stars, I will definitely order from Peking Kitchen II again. I ordered the Curry Chicken and it was good. I also had the Spring Rolls and they were pretty good. The prices are definitely good for being in New York City. Overall I would say the best thing is that I feel like I know what I am getting when I order from this place. I was told my food would be delivered in 20 minutes, so when I looked at my phone 40 minutes later I wasn’t happy. I think I finally received my food 45 minutes after I ordered. And the delivery guy does not come upstairs, not a deal breaker, but it would be nice. If I could give 3.5 stars I would.

Had their menu because they’ve delivered to me before, 16 blocks away. Tonight they don’t deliver here. Never again.

The delivery was extremely fast, and we also received eggs rolls and tea for free with our order! Recommend the General Tsos Chicken, Sesame Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein!

My favourite place for no-muss no-fuss takeout. Awesome portions for the price.

NEVER give your business to this restaurant. I ordered food, and received an angry screaming phone call from the delivery man saying he would not come up stairs, and for me to come down to get my food. I called the restaurant to understand the problem — they told me he doesn’t speak English and that he refused to come upstairs because there were two«young men» on the stoop… I live in small building in Harlem, the people on the stoop LIVEHERE… So basically this racist and ignorant restaurant refused to deliver my food correctly. I will never order from this ignorant place ever again. And i order Chinese pretty regularly so they lost a good customer. #dontpissoffapublicist

This is my absolute favorite place to go to for lunch when I’m at work. The pork egg roll and wonton soup are delicious!

not the best chinese food… but the best you will find in this neighborhood. we always order our favorites — the all white meat sesame chicken, chicken dumplings and fried rice. and are never disappointed. HUGE plus — their prices are GREAT.

Just solid, clean looking chinese take-out location in the area. No issues with them so far, I usually to take outs so can’t comment on their delivery.

I’m eating House Special Moo Shu right now. The individual tastes in the dish are distinct, not muddled. You get the shrimp and pork, both. The portion size is substantial. The place is clean and their service is efficient and polite. So far, so good. It gets 4 stars(on the take-out scale). Open until 11 on Sundays. Glad to find them in the area.

It may not look like much. but it’s way better than Szechuan Garden Kitchen down the street and still manages to be less ghetto-looking. The things that say ‘spicy’ are actually spicy. Plus, they offer hot and sour soup with their lunch special and SGK does not. The portions are massive and fed me for one full extra meal, only costing $ 6. The guys are nice and asked me if I was Chinese. In my broken Mandarin I said yes and asked them if they are from Fujian. I guessed right! … But I don’t understand the mainland Fujian dialect at all. Only the totally different Hokkien that is used in Malaysia!

I’m not sure when these guys opened but I’ve been walking by there for months. If I’m ordering out Chinese I usually go with West Place(or Thai Market for Thai food… MMM!!) I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 4+ years and have little experience with the ‘faster food’ joints along 116&FDB, but noticed a few weeks ago these guys had an «A» rating and you can’t help but notice how bright it is in there, which I thought was a plus. So last night on my way back from Best Yet Market I decided I’d stop in, ask for a menu, and check it out. They were super friendly. The menu was standard, and one thing I really liked was that you can watch everything being prepared in their galley kitchen. I ordered dumplings, fried rice and egg rolls and all of it was very good. In fact friend rice was quite a bit better than I’ve had delivered from places up near Columbia. I think I’ve found my new place. And it’s so close I can just pick it up myself.
