Reading the other reviews, I feel very bad for people who came here and didn’t like it. I came here with another 6 girl friends for brunch on Sunday at noon, we were getting exceptional service and food was very good. Some of us ordered Rose and some had coffee, drinks came very quickly and they also served warm buttered English muffin as bread. Many of us ordered Green Salad with shrimp or chicken, I had the veggie pizza and two girls ordered egg dishes. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have egg whites option(then I decided to have the veggie pizza). However, when my pizza came, I was glad that I had pizza, cuz it was really good! Everyone loved their food, everything came in good portion as well. Our waiter was very attentive, kept coffee and wine coming, he was really friendly as well. Our food came a little late and he was apologetic and gave us heads up when the food gonna come. And they gave us a few deserts to share on the house, which was also very nice. When the bill came, I was very surprised, cuz it was really reasonable. For the amount and quality of food we had, plus the service, it was a 5 star experience! Each of us loved this place and would definitely come back again.

Great setting and a nice local spot to hang out. The kitchen serves a full range of lunch and dinner meals(they have separate menus), and their resident mixologist bartender Arif really knows how to make a cocktail! I go there every week and always have a great time!

Great, slightly less expensive sister restaurant to Ethos. Greek Salad is amazing. Make sure you phone them directly to get reservations, do not use open table, as the restaurant seats 50 people at most. Staff is accommodating and friendly.

Great Farmers Flatbread Pizza. Wonderful Service. Light atmosphere. Football on the television. The music for brunch is too loud. Bring it down 50% or just turn it off. It’s not needed. Thank you for a fine brunch. We will return.

Bottom line: food excellent; atmosphere lovely, lively and pleasant; service and dining experience poor. Came with 2 friends on a rainy Thirsday and sat at the back bar. Ordered wine which took a very long time to come. Then ordered food– I just got a Greek salad which I truly loved. It was huge and delicious. I was happy! My friends, unfortunately, did not have quite the same positive experience. One ordered an entrée and about 15 minutes after he placed the order, was informed that they were out of it. That’s way too long! My other friend ordered an appetizer and entrée. She got her app and all seemed fine. About 10 minutes after we all received our entrees, the waiter came back and said they were out of the entrée she ordered. Totally unacceptable– we all had our food and were waiting for hers to begin eating. What made it worse was that the waitstaff seemed to think it was hysterical and were all laughing visibly in front of us. Plus, with such a small menu why are they out of so many things?! They offered free desert as a makeup but we didn’t want it. To me, this is unacceptable for a restaurant with these price points. However, I did really enjoy what I ordered an I liked the vibe so I probably would go back and hope this was a fluke.

We had an excellent meal here. Terrific Greek salad with the best tomatoes I’ve had in New York, then some well cooked salmon with spinach and whipped potatoes, and some delicious flatbread pizza. The waiter was very friendly and extremely attentive. Great neighborhood spot.

Made a reservations for four, two couples. Arrived on time and were told to sit at the community table. Were looking to have dinner and conversation with friends, not the neighborhood. Asked about an open table we saw and were told it was for five, sorry. They shouldn’t offer tables for reservation if they don’t exist. Went across the street to Deux Amis and had a wonderful evening with friends. Should have known as their sister restaurant, Ethos, has trouble honoring reservations too. Will never return.

This place is confused, cute fresh setting… Calamari was huge and chewy, Spinach turnovers I could pop in a toaster, meatballs Ok, if not a little well done. The lamb was the best of the bunch but was so salty that we had to chug water after dinner. Seems like more of a place to have a drink at the bar or in the window and pass on the cuisine.

I would give Pathos two stars, but I give it three for this reason: they messed up one of our orders and because of that, removed it from our final bill. My friend and I ordered the ham club sandwich and the Nutella crêpe. The ham club was adequate. It was on the saltier side, especially with the salted French fries on the side. However, it was a ham club, so the high sodium content was expected. The Nutella crêpe that we ordered was supposed to have bananas inside and topped with fresh berries, none of which were present on the plate or in the crêpe. As a result, what we had on our plate was a burnt crêpe loaded with Nutella. When we asked our server if those elements were missing, she said that the crêpe wasn’t supposed to come with bananas, but we asked to look at the menu again to verify. We were right and she ended up taking the crêpe off our tab. Overall, Pathos has good service and our server was very attentive. Still, seeing as how the restaurant wasn’t packed with patrons, it would have been wise of the chef to take more time to complete his dishes and know what’s on the menu.

Theo and I ate here for a Monday lunch and were very happy. The service was hands on and the food good– similar to the parent, Ethos across the street. I had a pizza served on an interesting plate and Theo had the Greek Salad. It was so good and plentiful, we brought the leftovers for dinner– and I never bring leftovers.

How this place and its«sister» ethos packs them in like this is mind boggling! I ordered the«Ethos Greek Salad». The tomatoes tasted like I was in January not July in peak sweet tomato season just like ethos across the street. I recently wrote a review about them last week. The pizza margarita was no better than dominos down the block. I think the Greeks should stick to what they are known for and that’s not pizza! The good part is the extremely friendly young lady waitress from the check republic who was very, very pretty and delightful but not the best server. I gave her a nice tip for being so sweet. She gave me a Greek desert on the house so that was nice but I was not used to this type Greek desert delicacy. Noisy as well so could not talk to my Son whom was looking forward to some Fatherly advise this evening. A one star for the hot chick! Nothing remarkable except that it seems like the First Avenue Corridor in the 50’s is in desperate need of good quality eateries! If your a chef or in the food service business First Avenue is definitely an up and coming area that needs good places.
