Park Avenue Orthodontics

This review is based on my first visit to this office for an Invisalign consult.
Upon arrival, I was greeted and taken inside very quickly. Nice staff, nice office, nice doctor. Dr. Stoess-​Allen actually took the time to explain to me all the issues that I had and explained to me exactly what the management would be. In addition, she also took the time to listen to me and allowed me to ask questions, unlike a previous consult I had where the orthodontist just throw orthodontic jargon at me thinking I would understand or hoping that I wouldn’t understand at all what she was talking about. As a self-​proclaimed perfectionist, the doc definitely knows what she is talking about and seems to be very attentive to detail and as a perfectionist myself, I trust that I will be in good hands for the next year or so. And like the dude in the previous review said, the office is a pleasant environment and is super clean. We’re off to a good start so far :)

Expectations were poorly set in terms of how many problems /​issues there would be over the course of wearing braces for several years. I had them as an adult for TMJ issues and between official appointments would have to come for additional visits to fix things that broke. Cost is very high, and at times I was lied to point blank. On the positive side, office is very clean with the latest equipment and staff is pleasant. If I had to do all over again, I would have looked around more before settling on Dr. Stoess-​Allen.

I have never had treatment done here so i can’t speak on that. However, when I did call to get a consultation the lady over the phone told me their fee was $ 450.00. That is completely insane. I do understand that some orthos want to do all the x-​rays and diagnostics on 1^st consult so they charge you but that price is just crazy. Why would you pay that when there are hundreds of qualified orthos in the city that offer free consults and will sometimes take pics and one x-​ray with no charge. shh!
