It’s OK, what can I say? It’s pretty standard. My favorite item is the steamed vegetable dumplings.

This is what I expect of Chinese food in a rural place like Oklahoma(no offense Oklahoma). So bad. So so bad. Nothing else to say. Oh… I live 1 block away and it took an hour. So bad and slow.

Inwood is SERIOUSLY lacking in good Chinese food but this is the best I’ve had at the standard price point in the hood(to me Amy’s is a tad pricey). I loved the sauce on the steamed bean curd with broccoli(even though the broccoli didn’t taste that great to me), and the veggie dumplings. Good for the price point but be prepared to wait for delivery. Next time maybe I’ll order for pick-up.

What I’ve come to expect from Panda House is that you get what you pay for. When I’m in the mood for Chinese take out, they have been my go-to for several years. If you can, order early as they are busy with delivery at peak dining time.

I love love love the Chinese food here I’ve been eating Chinese from here since I was a child and the food is delicious my favorite dish is they’re chicken and broccoli the sauce is not to thick and not to light neither just perfect and savory. They’re vegetable fried rice always has fresh vegetables. Also they’re ribs come with a red sauce that is delicious. Definitely great Chinese food. The cool and the owners are also Chinese.

Pretty standard fair chinese food. At one point Panda House held down the title of best chinese food in the area, but the years haven’t treated it well. They make great fried rice and pretty good dumplings. Their ingredients seem a little more fresh than everyone else but the food is really greasy. Serving sizes have also gotten smaller. I feel like its slightly more expensive than other places as well. Overall, I find it pretty average and long for the days where they stood above the rest.

As far as neighborhood dive takeout goes, Panda House is just fine by me. When I don’t want to spend a lot of money or am too tired to cook, they come through. I usually order fried rice or a steamed veggie dish. Panda is always busy, so I’m under the impression that they’re doing something right. They have a few tables for waiting or dining, which is a plus and I’m fairly certain that they keep an A or B rating with the city, which is always important. The staff has always been helpful to me, and when I place an order for delivery I get it really quickly.

Having tried a variety of Chinese restaurants in Inwood, this is my overall favorite thus far. I’ve only gone once but initial impressions were good. Hot and sour soup was fresh and not just loaded with corn starch and salt, but actually prepared, and I liked that it contained egg as an emulsifier. Vegetable dumplings were good, particularly the filling, which contained identifiable bits such as mushrooms rather than just some arbitrary ground up vegetable matter. It appears there is at least some concern for quality here, and I like that — I’ll be back to try some more dishes and likely update the review accordingly.

They were recommend to be by people I trust and to be fair the vegetables taste surprisingly fresh. Their vegetable dumplings were great. I would avoid anything involving meat or sauce though. I got their steamed chicken and the chicken was not good, but not terrible. Just about every thing was really bland. The wonton soup was the most unflavored I’ve ever had. Then I bit into a piece that had cartilage or something and it kill what little appetite I had left. It would have been 2 star if not for the wonton which took it from not good to gross in 3.5 seconds.

They have inexpensive Chinese fast food, and the quality of food is about on par for inexpensive Chinese fast food establishments. Don’t expect a gourmet meal. That said, I was very impressed when I went in there and ordered the eggplant with garlic sauce, and I was told that the eggplant isn’t good this time of year, and I should order something else. Most establishments of this sort wouldn’t have bothered to let the customer know that, and would have no problem serving bad vegetables. Their lunch specials also offer the choice of brown rice. Again, most inexpensive Chinese restaurants don’t even have that as an option.

This place is not even vaguely impressive. They’ve got a crapload of strikes against them. 1) There’s no heat in the place other than from the kitchen! I mean, the people working there have coats on. I can only imagine in the summertime, there’s no A/C! 2) The food is worse than mediocre. Its just bad. Simple fare like chicken wings and pork fried rice shouldn’t make your lips upturn and curl with disgust. AND3) They aren’t open late, EVENON A FRIDAYNIGHT!!! I came home around midnight on a Friday, and it was shut down, closed, fin fin and fin! What self-respecting Chinese establishment isn’t open until at LEAST2am? C’mon. People are hungry out there! So clearly this is a disappointment. I went once… and have no desire nor incentive to go back again. There’s a better joint down the street closer to Dyckman. I don’t mind the walk.
