Good food, reasonable prices, fast delivery and no problem with special orders not on the menu! I’ve ordered many times and never had a complaint!

So I’m extremely tired and did not want to cook. I have the Chinese food in my vicinity all the time and was looking for something new. I check Unilocal and saw this restaurant with 4 stars. So I’m thinking it must be good… Well it was the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. And I’m not being dramatic. I ordered shrimp fried rice with a fried half chicken and a large chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce. Well the rice was way too soft and greasy, the fried chicken taste old and the chicken and broccoli was nothing but broccoli and it had no taste or flavor. I don’t understand how the other people gave this place 5 stars or anything close. It’s has to be more than a bad night. I’ve never had Chinese food this bad and I will NEVERORDERFROMTHISPLACEAGAIN. Order if you dare. I’m interested in seeing any more comments. Now excuse me as I try and get this horrible taste out of my mouth. I pray I don’t get sick.

I had the white meat General Tso Chicken. It was unique, in a good way. They seem to stir fry it rather than deep fry. It was really good and certainly a switch from the other Chinese restaurants in the area. They also seem to add a few unique vegetables to the mix, along with broccoli. I’ll have to give Chan’s more business in the future, and you should too.

This is the only Chinese place I’ll ever go too. They been in the neighborhood for years and there’s a reason for it. Everything is yummy and well cooked. You get a great portion for the price your paying and usually you’ll get a free soda they also have bottle water which is what I usually get. Can’t do soda. It’s family owned so you can really feel the love they put into there business.

This has become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I went here with three other friends. They’ve been recommending it for a while now and I’m glad I gave it a chance. We had a pork egg roll, 3 spring rolls, shrimp and chicken with broccoli in black sauce with brown rice, roast pork lo mein, and fried wantons. My favorite from what we all ordered was the roast pork lo mein and the spring rolls. The spring rolls found here are bigger in comparison to many other Chinese restaurants around my neighborhood of Inwood. The food didn’t tasted greasy like one would find in other restaurants which is a plus for me. Overall, I liked the service, the food and how much more affordable the food is.

Ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Beef Fried Rice, and Chicken and Broccoli. All tasted very fresh and flavorful. We ordered delivery and it was very fast. Additionally, they give you a free can of soda for orders over $ 10 and 2 cans for orders over $ 20 and free delivery.

SUPER cheap($ 4.75 lunch special, $ 5 with pop) and never disappoints when I get beef & broccoli or sesame/general tso’s chicken. I get enough for 2 meals and they’re always quick & the food is made to order. This is one of my regular spots.

They include mostly vegies(broccoli, carrots, etc.) and almost no meat/shellfish in mixed dishes. Also, they will yell at you if you raise any kind of question or disagreement about your order. On the upside, they deliver relatively quickly. S.

It’s cheap. It’s reliable. They give you a free lobster if you check in. Wait what? A free whole lobster*? I think that will change if more than four people review it. Not that I’d have taken advantage of this anyway: stupid shellfish allergy! For the record, my beef curry didn’t taste old or spoiled. Sorry to hear that, Irene. *The offer, verbatim

After reading a couple of good reviews, I wanted to give this place a try but it ended being a disappointment. I just ordered 2 lunch specials: Fried Pork Chop and Shrimp Chow Mien. Both dishes came with roast pork fried rice. Both dishes were $ 4.50 each and good portion. However, the pork chop tasted sour and gamy, a possible indication that the meat was spoiled. I thought Shrimp Chow Mien is pan-fried noodles with shrimp and veggies but there was no noodle at all, only shrimp and veggies with roast pork fried rice. I don’t know why the restaurant named the dish«chow mien» when there is not a noodle dish. I grew up in a Chinese/Taiwanese family so I know what I am talking about but this seems odd to me. I will not order from this place again.

It came up on GrubHub as a free delivery – always a plus, although they don’t take orders online, only over the phone. VERY cheap, though what I would consider«no-frills» food. The two different fried-rice dishes we ordered came with only rice, eggs, sprouts, onions, and meat. No vegetables, but onions were minimal(which I prefer). Was delivered very fast, still piping hot – I had to wait a while before I could eat any of it! The deliveryman was apathetic, but not rude.

When I moved to the neighborhood over 7 years ago, my friend told me to only go to Chan’s kitchen. Their food is fresh but what’s also very important, they are CLEAN!!! In the 7 years I go to them I have never been disappointed, they are consistently good, their service is fast and friendly and their food is great. It’s a fine example of a great neighborhood take out/restaurant were the workers know you.
