Pacha was definitely one of those places that had and just plain catered to their main fan base. It did play some obscure house music, not as crazy as the old days under JP for SOUNDFACTORY. Those were the days I wish I attended those parties when I was younger, it was better economy then, cheaper gas prices, cheaper ecstasy prices and an easier way to get in if you just knew the right person or Paris the gatekeeper. Last time, i honestly attended Pacha, I was in the trap. Located above the main Pacha, there was Pachita. The main reason you check out this place. Trap music galore and a dope crowd of people just there to dance. I arrived kind of late, and some of my friends left early so best night ever being sober and solo at any club if you ask me. Bartenders were busy that night but were still attentive. Pachita, the upstairs VIP area that was usually only open for special events, it was a sweat box. Pacha was still just for house music, 90% of the time let’s just say. Still after 10 years of being well known for bringing in some of the best DJ’S, it will be missed. It is not that NY has that many better clubs but how when you are about to prove a point about New York has changed the game as far as clubs and fun for all who come here, you announce Jan. 2016 is the last month and you are closing. Oh well, life moves on, entrance fees did become more expensive over time so this is probably what happened. RIP Pacha. 10 years in the major leagues of New York nightlife.

I like to dance and get my drink on. However I do not like to be groped, touched, massaged or yelled at all in the same night. My friends and I made the trek here for a No Pants Party. Pretty self explanatory, no pants no cover. We wore skirts, technically they aren’t pants, so the lady at the counter graciously let us in. We were also treated to a hearty tsa style pat down, while having our purses searched for contraband. Who knows what I might be smuggling. Cause I live life dangerously, with my chewing gum and small bottle of hand lotion. Once inside you are promptly directed to a coat check. Then you are left to head on over to the bar to buy your 14 dollar watered down cocktail. I will admit the dance area is pretty good, if you weren’t continuously groped by some drunk kid who can’t handle a couple shots. So if this sounds like your kinda night ladies and gents, Pacha is the place for you.

Not my type of place, so I stayed for 30min.-1hr. to finish my drink. –There were quite a few disrespectfully handsy males creeping around(More so than usual). –Drinks blah. –EDM music not impressive(Maybe I went on a bad night). That’s all I’ve got. Perhaps open a place more exciting in its place after Pacha closes this year? Fingers crossed.

Honestly I may have gone at a bad time or this place is overhype. It was my 1st time in pacha last week and it took a couple of hours for club traffic to pick up. This club isn’t good as people say, personally I rather be at another lounge. I was bored, felt uncomfortable… especially because some short lady with blonde hair probably one of the manager was watching me extensively as she patrolled the facilities… I didn’t know coming alone garnered up suspicion. Agreed with everyone else, the drinks are expensive $ 10 for a Budweiser?!! wtf hopefully something better takes it’s place at the end of the month

LADIESDONOTGOTHERE! DANGEROUS!!! We ended up at this scum of the universe club in NYE. After paying $ 60(!!!) for entry we left after about 30 minutes. We were groped, dry humped, had aggressive men wearing Axe body spray repeatedly come up & physically accost us. It’s the scum of the earth that would drug your $ 22 cocktail & drag you home that come here. Even after pouring a drink on a guy(nature’s way of saying go away) the little man still came back air thrusting. The male: female ratio was about 8:1. There’s a reason for this. Women don’t want to be in this scummy club. There’s no security to speak of, and I felt that management didn’t care when I reported it. On my list of things to do… Report the egregious fondling to the NYPD. Even with clothes on I still felt like I walked out with a STD.

They have one of the best sound systems in the whole city! I will miss this place for sure! Went here for Erick Morrilo for one last ride with Pacha. The place started out classy then just gradually become worst n worst… when the place gets packed, it feel like you’re stuck in a hot sauna or bikram class LOL. Most of the time they have the $ 10 guestlist before midnight so take advantage of that! 10 years is definitely a long run for a club esp in the big apple.

If you’re looking to party literally until the next day, this is the place to come. Went on a saturday around 4am so naturally there was no line, and the club was still packed! I left at 5:30am but I think they were open till like 7am? I would recommend going on payday cause it’s expensiiiive! Water is $ 7 and rail drinks are $ 15, other drinks could run you $ 20+. Oh and every thing is CASH from the entry fee to the drinks. The ATM fee is $ 10. The venue itself is nice, multi levels and sofas. I hear it’s closing but I would def return when the venue reopens!

My girlfriend and I figured we’d visit for the first and last time before they close their doors for good in January — that’s how we ended up seeing Thomas Gold spin last Saturday night. We RSVP’d for the guest list on their website, pre-gamed at my place for a bit, and arrived at 11pm. Ladies get priority entrance: so we were able to cut the line, walk right in, and pay the $ 10 cover fee. Atmosphere is what you’d expect from a trendy, modern nightclub. Surprisingly clean, every corner becomes a dance floor, and lots of neon lights! $ 4 coat check downstairs. Mixed drinks are hella strong($ 14 for a rum ‘n coke) in order to distract women from the terrifying realization that the male-to-female ratio is 12 – 1. You won’t find any shortage of shameless, disrespectful men grabbing at your body parts without consent here! The whole Hudson River couldn’t quench the thirst found at Pacha. Otherwise, both the music and staff were great. My friend started having trouble breathing at one point during the night due to her asthma, and they called over their house paramedic right away to perform triage.

Not surprised this place is closing. First of all it’s a pain in the ass to get to because it’s between 11th&12th avenue. Totally not worth the schlep in my humble opinion. They were going for some seedy european nightclub vibe which they achieved. It attracted a very weird crowd that included barely legal teens, confused tourists and people who came because they were one some promoter’s «VIP» list. The level of security was ridiculous in that place. I think they were more thorough and invasive than the TSA, rummaging through your things(checking for drugs I assume?). One security officer emptied out the water from my bottle that I hadn’t even opened yet. Anyway, not much else to say about this place other than I’m surprised they lasted for 10 years.

If you like expensive(day of… otherwise the admission here for advanced tickets are pretty reasonable) admission, price gauged drinks and big crowds of sweaty people, then this is the place for you. I’ve been here on several occasions for events within the past few years and I’d say this is your typical nightclub. The bouncers here are relatively nice and everything is pretty orderly. The one complaint I do have however is about the people that they let into this place. You have a whole assortment of people here ranging from your typical drunkies to weird creeps to men who appear to be about 40 – 50 year old(I kid you not). I do however, like the sound quality here. They have a top-notch sound system here. Spend a few hours here and your hearing will begin to deteriorate before it comes back again the next day. Also, Pacha is always promoting their club so there’s going to be promotions often. My friends and I were lining up outside getting ready to enter and we were presented with a «You and 4 friends get free entry» promotion to an upcoming event. The first floor is where the main stage is and coat check is in the basement. There’s also a second floor with a balcony that overlooks the main stage and is equipped with VIP sections and lounges with sofas. Overall, I really don’t have any memorable bad experiences with this place but take your chances when coming here. Also, the bathroom attendants are really nice and be sure to tip them because no one wants to stay in a bathroom all night handing out paper towels to rowdy drunk people.

What can I really say? I’m probably too old to even come here anymore lol, but every once in a while I get the itch to go out. Being that there are hardly anymore large clubs in NY that play this type of music– we are pretty limited. I am trying to put my biases aside here because I was lucky enough to have experienced The Tunnel, Exit, Twilo and the REAL Sound Factory– which no club ever can EVER live up to, sorry. Anyway– Pacha does have good dj’s every now and again and the sound system is good, so no complaints there. As for the overpriced drinks– you’ll find that everywhere. I think the main issue here is the crowd this place attracts, I just can’t figure it out to be honest. They really need a stricter, door policy, because honestly, I feel like they let any trashbag in off the street. I feel like this place might have some potential if they actually gave a sh*t about who they let inside.

Loved Pacha and being on the VIP list. This place is so fun! The DJ’s had a great time playing to the crowd(but also so much noise!) and I could dance the night away on all floors I wanted. 5STARS

As a positive, they book quality DJs, often and stay open way late(6,8,10AM+). On the other hand, it’s packed to the point of hardly being able to move and is such a dude-heavy venue. 80% guys on the ground floor is pretty normal. Everything is expensive inside. Had a pretty bad experience with people outside dickishly refusing to respond to simple questions. Crowd is mostly b&t, lots of NJ. Pretty young. It’s such a shitshow basically all nights. It is what it is, some people clearly enjoy it since it’s always packed but those people are usually young males from Jers.

THISPLACEISSIIIIIIICK!!! Sick observations: You will get tennis elbow from fist pumping so much. You can grind with 400+ people on any given night. You will learn the old asian washer/dryer line dance. You will rip your shirt off in jubilation and women will want to «touch your body» Mariah Carey style. You will get mad digits and make out mad amounts when you rip your shirt off. Many will enter the guido dance circle but only 1 will be crowned King of Pacha. You will make many friends and all of their last names will be displayed in your phone as «PACHA». PACHAYO!

Had a fun night at Pacha overall. If you RSVP online and come before midnight you can get in free, which is always a bonus. Especially in New York. However, they make up for that with RIDICULOUSLYEXPENSIVEDRINKS. Like $ 17 for a shot of tequila. Though I suppose that’s still better than clubs where you have to pay for cover AND expensive drinks. But still, I’d recommend a heavy pregame before you go. Or maybe a flask under your skirt? Can’t hide anything in your purse cause they check it before you go in. They had a weird policy where I wasn’t allowed to have my camera inside because it was too big and professional looking. Luckily they just made me take the battery out and I picked it up from staff at the end of the night. But super annoying since I specifically brought the camera to take photos of me and my friends and would rather not rely on their event photographers to chance upon us. Otherwise music was decent. One floor with hip-hop/R&B and one floor with EDM. Not too crowded or too empty. Staff was amicable. I’d come back.

I’ve been here since I was 18. Worked here, and had many bdays here. As all clubs have their ups and downs. I stopped going for a few years due to major downs. Not worth the trip from NJ for that. But I went with my lady the past few months and had blasts! Every time, great energy and music CONS: over priced EVERYTHING and the tip is included on your bill if you use a credit card to purchase drinks!

So torn on what to rate this place. I’ve been here about three times now and it is really mixed with how I feel about it. First off, always get on the guest list online or something because paying $ 40 — $ 50 for this place is not worth it, no matter who’s playing. Second, Jesus Christ definitely pregame because you will go broke buying drinks here. A shot of tequila for my friend was $ 17 and Grey goose was $ 15. I understand city prices and all but damn. I came here for Cash Cash(which was my favorite), and Pre-EDC party. I don’t remember who played but I don’t even think I stayed until the main DJ came on because it was a terrible night. Normally there are four floors(? I think) to this place and they each play different music. This time, there were only two and both were playing EDM. I love love love EDM but when I go clubbing, I’d like a variety. That was just not here this Friday. People upstairs were just standing around and not even dancing because it was just the same music throughout the whole place. Really disappointed… I don’t know if I’ll come back here next time or just try out a different place.

I honestly don’t know how I ended up coming back here. Last time I came it was the same situation: over priced drinks, drugged up party patrons, and over zealous bouncers… smh. My home girl brought me out and I said«why not.» Stayed less than 4 hours. Was more than happy to leave. Don’t know what they can do better just so over this place it’s ridiculous. Up side: the djs were great. All of them, even the one all the way upstairs in the ‘urban section’ aka pachita. I always have fun up there. Just wish it was a little bigger.

With my most recent visit this past weekend I’d figured it was time for an update. They seem to have done some minor improvements to the place, Upstairs when u enter looks like they enclosed the middle area in glass, there are couches set up for seating, the VIP area upstairs got smaller they also removed one shower. Below seems like they knocked out a few walls near the DJ area, looks more open. Sound system is pretty good, not sure what was going on with the lights since there were no lights, never was an issue b4. We had tickets in advance for the Chris Vargas Peepshow event barely no lines outside & once inside. always helps to have advance tickets since of course they are cheaper this way. Upstairs was not crowded which never used to be the case & Pachita was closed off not sure why. Main level was packed but unlike previous times there seemed to be room to roam around. Since it normally gets so jammed packed its usually hot as hell downstairs this time around didn’t feel like you were in a sauna. Prices have always been expensive water $ 5, Beer $ 12& cocktails $ 16, hurts definitely a good idea to pre game. Not much Changes with this place, mixed crowd plenty of clowns & rude ass people now I get that a lot are shit faced here but man how hard is it to say sorry? a look? Anything Geshhh !!! Now a days there seems to b more girls«dressed» up all good but u r not coming here to dance if u r in 4 inch heels kinda ridiculous this place is for dancing sexy, comfortable is the way to go. As for the club itself I believe it’s lost some spark, since now there are more options for house places. But as long as they keep bringing in big name DJ’s it will continue to be guaranty crazy night, Over all I’ve always had a good time here.

I think if you come here with the right mindset you will have fun. Pregame HEAVILY because 1. drinks are expensive 2. bunch of 18yr olds 3. crowded as f**k 4. lines outside(esp if it’s cold you won’t want to be freezing out there) ok so if you pregame heavily I think everything will be okay. There’s not really a line for the bathroom. Why you should GO to pacha: 1. big DJs headline 2. great sound system 3. untz untz untz Coat Check $ 4 I think there is some guestlist you can get on so it’s like 10 bucks before midnight but I usually just buy tickets on their website for big headliners. There’s two floors and if you push through on the first floor you can get to the front of the DJ booth which is AWESOME.

(Dernière visite y’a 3 mois)
