Went to the 23rd street with my brother. It took me almost 15 mins to waited to served. Although the manger came to apologized and gave us a free appetizer. I ordered a rib eye with middle cook but the truth is the steak was overcook. It’s too dry to eat. I’ll look for the other steak house around me.

Good: The food at Outback is great. I am a meat lover so for me it doesn’t get better than that. Drinks are also great Prices are very decent considering what you get Bad: This particular location is by far the worst Outback I’ve ever been to. First, if you’ve never been there before you might have hard time finding it because it is inside a building and not a separate Outback building. The sign could also have been positioned better. When I looked for this place I literally passed by it twice before I noticed it. Second, the service. Horrible, Outback. Absolutely horrible. I know you can do so much better. They always act like they are doing you a favor allowing you to dine in their establishment. The service is so so so slow. Last time we went there it was a good 40 minute wait between placing an order and getting food. Conclusion: As much as I love Outback, this place is by far their worst location in regards to service.

I really like the cocktails here, they’re good and affordable. The staff is friendly, I really liked my server she was very nice. The food however was rather disappointing, some parts of my filet mignon were nice and tender and others were quite dry. Overall not a great steak. My baked potato was weird. My grilled asparagus were good but a little too blackened.

I’d give a negative star if I could. The staff is ghetto and rude. The fire alarm was going off for 25minutes but they insisted there wasn’t any issues in the kitchen, but the entire restaurant was getting smokey. I got up and left. Seems like safety isn’t important to them.

Went here last night with my boyfriend. Overall decent experience. We had a friendly waiter who was pretty fast and attentive. They were out of coco cola syrup which was a little bit of a bummer but I was able to save some calories so that was ok. The food. The bread was warm and yummy as always. The server was attentive as I previously stated, always checking up on us and brought us plenty of bread. My boyfriend and I both had steak and lobster which we both thoroughly enjoyed. I guess I would only mention that they confused our sides but that’s also ok, not a big deal. Fries came out a bit soggy, not freshly cooked but we didn’t bother to complain since we had so much food. Ambiance was ok, clean and dimly lit. Outback has always been one of my favorite chains.

I came here for one thing and one thing only — the slow roasted sirloin thing. The price was just right and the drinks were amazing. I had this alcoholic cucumber lemonade drink that was purely refreshing. My friend had the key lime martini, which I tasted and deemed beyond delicious. The meal on the other hand was crazily underwhelming. The sirloin was terribly small and ridiculously chewy. The sauce wasn’t very flavorful and neither were the the vegetable garnishes. It was really a stretch for me to go to a chain restaurant, and surely I’ll be back for the drinks but not for that itty bitty sirloin.

Worse outback ever! Food took forever and service was on existent. Ordered kids medallions that came out so tough we couldn’t even it with a knife. They also forgot let of our request on how to cook the steak and a loaded potato. Wouldn’t recommend as we only went because of convenience.

I came here expecting chain restaurant service but what I got baffled me. After being sat the server came to greet us and sat down at the table with us! I was so appalled. My friend and I came for some of their cheese fries, they’re usually good. But for a full order, it was hardly enough for two people. We then ordered the«new classic sirloin». The menu, which I’ve uploaded a picture of, said it came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes however, I was served some sort of home fry(???) not what was described on the menu. When I asked our server(Eric C) about it, he brushed it off and said«if you remember the picture»…clearly I don’t remember any picture I remember what was described on the menu. Eric C. Then proceeded to completely rush us out of the restaurant, he even guilted us by saying, «I can’t leave until you do.» A very strange experience.

Typically I avoid chain restaurants because this is NYC. No reason to go chain when there’s so many options to choose from. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my visit here yesterday. They have great drink deals and a really good menu. I wasn’t super hungry so I went for the Coconut shrimp appetizer, which was quite filling(they give you 8). As for drinks, I got a Key Lime Pie Martini– so delicious and cheap($ 4)!! I would return for that alone. I shall return

While waiting to be seated, a waiter is cleaning the table-he sits a stack of plates on the chairs which is disgusting(people sit there butts there HELLO!!) He then continues to wipe the tables down, and drops the rag… He then picks the rag up off the floor and continues to wipe the table. As my daughter and I look at him-he then leaves and asks his co-workers for a new rag. I couldn’t help myself, so I tell him-«you’re placing clean plates on the chairs where customers sit». He says, but it’s the bottom of the plates… My daughter and I couldn’t hold it back, we ask for a manager and tell her what just happened but she gives us a dumb half smile and says«Thank you». She then speaks to him briefly and they both continue as his nothing happened… That was disgusting… and so is the waiter and manager.

Again I’m happy that this place exists and the promotions are some of the beat deals you will find in American Cuisine. The only problem is that some of the individuals who are hired, reveal their true colors which would really Break Business. Last time it was Terrance, now it is DeeDee. When I made a reservation for 7 at 7:30p, one of our parties members were not there, so we waited but scouted for a comfortable seat in the vicinity though most were taken. We finally told DeeDee that we wanted 2 tables(good for 8 people) and not a Cab Type Seating and she Reluctantly Promised to give me the 2 tables I requested when the other 2 customers leave after she repeatedly & unsuccessfully tried persuading us to take other rather uncomfortable for 7 people arrangements. Even forcibly say YOUHAVETOMOVEOUTOFTHEWAY! As she can force who stays or leaves. We then wait for my other friend to come and the 2 other people to finish their meal. I signal to Dee Dee I will be right back(to buy the Powerball at 800 Million ;-). On my return about 5 minutes later, the last person in my party arrived and for some reason I was following another hostess with my friends into a Cab table, against my wishes and the table I Requested was given to a different party. As we were sitting at the Cab Seat sandwiched together, it was revealed to me that DeeDee grudgingly told him that since I was not back yet, we cannot be seated at the Table I was promised. As soon as I saw the waiter, I asked him to get The Manager for us and because the waiter didn’t know what has happened and I probably looked, the waiter hesitated to get him. It was when I told him it has nothing to do with him and it was something else, he was a little more comfortable and agreed to get the manager and I explained exactly what happened while I was pointing the finger at DeeDee who is the most Irresponsible and«Doing Things Only For Her Own Convenience» type of person Sure enough the Manager, David took care of everything as he always does and got us a nice table. DeeDee after seeing that the manager is now involved, reluctantly helped out but continued to begrugingly make eye contact with me though I did not give her the attention she was looking for. Everything else was good after. The other thing about DeeDee I can say is the week before this took place, I got there with my friend 3 minutes after 10p and stared at us like a sociopath then I said«Closed?» and without saying anything she pointed at me like that was supposed to make any sense. Then she said«The door says the time we close.» After both incidents, I’m in complete shock that this Despotic– Antisocial would be allowed to work in the real world.

Good place to eat prime ribs, huge steaks, or even burgers. However the prices are outrageous. The food was good, and I particularly enjoyed my clam chowder soup that my friend highly recommended. But I had a Caesar salad and I didn’t understand what made it so special, apart fro the price. The employees, from the front desk to the waiter, were very nice and polite. We received our food without waiting much, except for the extra french fries order, that took a good 15 minutes. My friend had the New York T bone steak, 22 ounces and I must say it looked really good. The bread and butter they bring at the beginning of the meal is pretty exceptional, and I was so hungry, I had to make sure I wasn’t stuffing my face with it. No green tea available, like most restaurant in the States. Not sure why, as it is one of the most classic tea after black, so come on outback, get a box of green tea. Though the place was packed and music was playing, if wasn’t too loud as some restaurants can get. We were the only people left in the place when we left, and yet, no one made us feel like we were unwanted, so thank you for that. The bill was high, and knowing it is a chain restaurant, I expected a smaller bill. Will I return? maybe if I have no other choices. Manhattan offers incredible steakhouses and for a similar price, so chances are, I won’t return there.

Was working late Saturday night and had a hankering for a steak for dinner. Got at porterhouse(medium rare) with a baked potato and sautéed mushrooms to go to take back to the office. No bad. The steak was a little salty but was cooked correctly. The baked potato and mushrooms were okay. It was better than the steak I got a from a local diner the last time I had a steak to go at work.

My daughter had a gift card so I agreed to go help her use it. We used to go to the Outback in Queens and the one off 3rd avenue. They were pretty good back in the day. The bread they give you with butter is the best part of the meal. The service was very good and receptionist overly friendly on our last visit. My issue is with the quality. It’s hit or miss. It was missed so many times I really don’t care if I ever go back. They rotate the menu and the deep dish Apple desert was taken off the menu. I would go back for that! In all fairness I’m not much of a meat eater. I used to like the salads. They became second rate and I got turned off. My daughters gift card is used. I paid her for my meal. She’ll be hard pressed to get me back in there! Two stars for hostess and service.

As a chain restaurant in the city, this place definitely holds up as one of the better ones. Sometimes nothing can beat the blooming onion and some fish tacos. Service is good and staff is friendly. Glad to know that outback is definitely a good back up.

Out of all the food options in NYC, sometimes nothing can beat the bloomin’ onion at Outback. This location is very clean and always busy. My advice would be to «call ahead» and get a reservation up to 30 minutes before you arrive — especially on weekends. The staff at this location is very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Where has this been hiding all my life… I usually do not prefer going to chains, but this place blew me away. I suggest bringing someone with you to share a meal because the portions were pretty big. Service: amazing! Rodney was an excellent waiter. On point, he catered to our every need and always checked up on us. We came in pretty early so no reservations were needed(5:30−6pm). As we left, there were a lot of people waiting(on a Wed night), so I suggest making a reservation or come early. 1. Bloom onion: –Omg these are soo good! –Just right amount of batter –The portion was huge! We couldn’t finish. 2. Sirloin and grilled shrimp: –We decided to get the 12 oz steak to share and OMG was it a tummy full. –The steak was perfectly marinated and the meat was very tender, a perfect medium rare. Just the right amount of salt, yum! –The shrimp was good as well, but only 4 pieces. 3. Sides: Sweet potato: –This was steamed like a regular potato and a scoop of butter in the center. It was soft and sweet. Mixed veggies: –Probably not the best dish to make you feel better about getting veggies because it had to be cooked in lots of butter and salt, but in no way am I complaining! It was soo good! 4. Bread: –A brown roll with creamy butter. I didn’t expect much, but it was so good. I love when places make the rolls warm and soft. I hate hard bread. Overall: this place blew my mind and I would come again.
