Shane and Shawn are great bartenders. Food is typical pub food. Good crowd. Overall good experience.

Jets vs Cowboys were playing Saturday night and my friend and I wanted to find a bar we could watch the game and have some drinks. We got a great seat at a high top table right Infront of the big flat screen tv at the bar. They didn’t have the game on and we asked if they could put it on and they did it without hesitation(bonus points). The servers are on their a-game running around serving everyone. A nice bar to grab a few drinks and relax without music blasting. Beers were around $ 7 and so were pickleback shots. Was going to order mozzarella sticks, but they were $ 9 so decided not to. Good drinks and service.

I had high hopes for this bar as it is conveniently located by the trains, had decent décor, and wasn’t super crowded. We had a decent sized group of people joining us so we thought to get a table although the bar had several spots open. The downstairs hostess immediately asked if we were all eating. To which I said: yeah probably, minus one or two. She was very unaccommodating and didn’t even attempt to try and put together a spot for us. There were clearly two spots that would’ve fit us and when I asked about them, she told me to check upstairs. As soon as we got there, and moved the tables together because it was open seating, the server asked if we were doing one check or separate, because if we wanted separate, she couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. This is all before we even sat down. Then she asked what we wanted to drink, skipping my friend who requested water, and didn’t offer any menus to show us what they had on tap. When one friend asked how much a beer was, she said: $ 8 a pint, no, $ 9. Bottles of domestic were $ 5. It turns out that was a lie. Domestic were $ 5 downstairs, $ 7 upstairs. She never told us that. This conversation was laced with copious amounts of attitude. I was ready to leave at this point, but since we had so many people already in their way there, it didn’t seem feasible to leave. After throwing the menus in a pile, she asked what we wanted. I responded: can we have a few minutes? More friends were coming and we moved the take over in an open seating area. She then said if they weren’t all there in 20 minutes, we had to move the table back, even though there want anyone else waiting to sit there. We ordered a couple rounds. And then she disappeared for a half hour. We got the bill from someone else because she never returned. After being over charged and under served, we had enough. We disputed the prices that were incorrect from what the waitress told us. The bartender was nice and happy to fix the issue. This was refreshingly kind based on the service we received from the waitress. I had high hopes for this place and we would’ve ordered more rounds and food had we had better service. I don’t think I will be visiting this place again. Pity.

I came here for happy hour with a few co-workers, since we’ve passed it many times heading to the office. Overall, the bar is very cute. Its not the largest, but it has a rooftop patio that is very quaint and comfortable. There are only three beers on tap though, so if you’re looking for a variety this may not be the place for you. The food was decent, irish pub food. We all ordered the shepards pie and had no complaints with it. I have to admit, shepards pie with a cold beer was so much better than your typical bar food. I would definitely order it again.

$ 9 for a guiness? Are they out of their effin minds? Right after ordering on the«rooftop», they closed it. Be glad there are other places in the area for a mediocre beer.

I’ve passed by here a thousand times never thinking to go inside. Had to meet my bf for lunch and while walking past he suggested it. It was probably the hottest day of the year. Ordered a cider — was warm :( he had a cold beer Order the«steak» over salad. I’m 99% certain it was sliced prime rib. Took me a while to get it down. I forgot what he ordered. We ate and drank all this at the bar. Only 4 people sitting there including us. Service stunk.

This a NYC Irish pub just a few blocks from MSG. It has a 2nd floor for private parties and in good weather the open the roof bar. A safe clean place to meet a friend on W. 31dt street. Don’t expect any wow.

This was really close to my hotel and I really wanted to like it. Beer selection on the roof is weak and overpriced. I paid $ 9 for a plastic cup of Shock Top. The bartender wasn’t awesome. I wanted to like it but we left after one drink since there are so many better options for rooftops in the area.

O’Reilly’s is a fairly standard happy hour or commuter bar where you go because it is convenient, but certainly not for the prices, ambiance, or service. Drinks were insanely priced considering that they come in a small plastic cup. The view is pretty nice and it is convenient from Penn Station. Service ranged from automaton like dead staring bartenders to somewhat friendly to fairly hostile waitresses. The rooftop was nice for a work get together, but nothing special in terms of ambiance.

Rooftop bar without a view, skanky dance floor on the second floor and family restaurant with a bar on the first. This place is trying to be too much. Moderately priced for New York, I guess. Bartending is slow. Hostess is an absolute doll though. Was only here on vacation, but I wouldn’t go back.

Meh is exactly how I feel about this place. I was meeting an old friend for brunch and had reservations across 5th ave but could not get to the location due to the pride parade yesterday. We were short on time(due to a showtime start) so O’Reilly’s Pub was the closest place that could take us right away. The place did not seem organized… and the service was slow but in her defense, I think she could have used some help. Then the food was MEH. nothing great, nothing horrible. We were hungry and got the job done but I expect great bar food at a pub and this was not. The nachos has liquid cheese(that you squirt on) which creeps me out to no end and put a bad taste in my mouth. Was not impressed…

Pretty solid place other than the $ 9 Shocktops. The tunes were on point! I’d love to see what it’s like later in the night, I was there around 5pm.

I came here on an early evening Saturday. We sat upstairs and it wasn’t crowded at all. I liked the atmosphere — laid back and casual. The medium rare bacon cheeseburger was delicious. The beer was very cold. I’d love to come back to try more!

How can you justify 9 dollars for a draft beer(non-import) which is served in a cheap plastic bud light cup? The view of the upstairs bar is the parking lot which can’t really justify the pricing. Also, the plastic siding does an excellent job of keeping the noise of the high pitched barking and button up shirts flexing on each other. As for the service, be prepared to be treated like an after thought.

I came here on a TUESDAY night and paid NINE dollars for a beer. After finishing said beer I walked downstairs, entered the bathroom and attempted to kill myself. Unfortunately, the roof wasn’t very sturdy in the bathroom and my noose broke off from the ceiling. That was disappointing. If you’re going to charge me 9 dollars for a beer I expect a suicide friendly venue. After failing to kill myself I ordered another beer. I was downstairs at this point. The bartender charged me 7 dollars for the SAME beer. I proceeded to finish that beer before going home and crying myself to sleep. On a more serious note, O’Reilly’s is a wonderfully spacious venue(bad lighting inside though) with a decent rooftop. However, 9 dollars for a beer on a Tuesday night is just insulting… especially when it’s cheaper DOWNSTAIRS. Damn you O’Reilly’s…damn you.

Brunch. It’s the thing to do and the great thing about NYC is if the spot you originally wanted to go to has a ridiculously long wait — just walk down the street and you will find another. After being told that it would be an hour and a half wait at Friedman’s we wandered off frantically Unilocalin’ for a new spot. We came across O’Reilly’s and were drawn in by the sandwich board advertising for $ 7 mimosas. Yes the old school form of advertisement really works! Not going to lie, I had some reservations about coming here but we were short on time and went for it. Their brunch menu is tiny, you have a choice of a western omelette, steak and eggs or eggs Benedict with either ham or smoked salmon. But like I said we were drawn in by the bottomless mimosa deal — just $ 7 as long as we ordered an individual entrée. Service here was just amazing, our server Monica quickly brought us our glasses and continued to keep them full — as soon as we set down the empty glass she came around with a carafe to filler up! The food came out relatively quickly as well. I went with the classic smoked salmon Benedict on a whole wheat English muffin, it also came with a side of steak fries. The brunch menu may be tiny but the food packs a punch! The English muffin was crisp and warm, there was a generous amount of smoked salmon and cutting into the poached egg it created that nice little lava flow affect that those cooking shows always strive for. Being a pub they also had a decent sized bar and a bunch of TVs. Atmosphere and service were great and all at such a great price. Why aren’t you dining here?!
