I really regret my visit to this optical… On a day when I go there first time to make appointment on from desk was one guy and I very clearly ask how much will cost my exam and I did present them my insurance card, he told to me $ 180 and I need to pay only $ 20… Next day after exam I was charged $ 132 and my insurance $ 320… All together $ 480! She gave me some testers of daily contacts lenses and some new liquids for contacts, but obviously I was charged for that… My recommendation is to avoid this place, but if you go there ask very precise about cost because on the end you’ll be very unpleasantly surprised!!!

The coolest, most helpful, and cordial service you will ever get. Dr. Dawson took her time to explain everything she was doing and answer ALL questions I had. Janeen and Eddie Lee were beyond helpful and informed when it came to choosing my new frames, AND correcting a mistake made by the lab(my script was too strong). This team is not only friendly and warm, but also knowledgeable and works to ensure your satisfaction. Go see them. I love my new glasses!!!

I came here to have my glasses adjusted. Usually I go to Cohen’s but decided to give this place a try since it is right next door to my work building. It was amazing! They did a great job and were super nice about it. They even told me that my glasses were poorly adjusted before, which is why they were so uncomfortable. Def will be back. They also offer corporate discounts, which is something I’ll keep in mind the next time I need glasses or contacts.

I am extremely picky about glasses, being that I have been wearing glasses since I was six, and bifocals since high-school. My husband recruited me because his attitude toward his last frames was whatever is free. Comparison: 14th st– I found a pair of glasses for my husband that I loved at the new 14th street store, but they were damaged. The store was very new at the time, and the manager was talking on the phone and checking his facebook, while the new associate really needed the help of a manager with every kind of troubleshooting issue including insurances. I decided to leave because the poor associate did not know what to do. This Store 599: I called a few minutes before closing to see is they had the frames. I spoke with Vicky. She knew exactly what I wanted held it. She knew our insurance more than we did, and arranged the entire thing. She asked us to wait until she was finished helping the client she was with. Everyone had an equal turn.(Even European travelers with lots of high end designer shopping bags. They left with nothing. While others were seriously buying.) Not all Gruen’s are created equal, Vicky made the difference here/

I bought my frames/lenses and custom-made sunglass clip here in 2002. Yes, really. And only now — in 2008 did I have to replace them. The style was perfect for my face and the glasses fit right and were cut to my precise prescription. Great choice of up-to-date styles and AWESOME customer service. Gruen is a great chain and this store was right in my building. Terrific.
