Open Sesame Dentistry

Dr. Grady has been my 8 year old daughter’s dentist since she had her first tooth and I was overall ok with the practice… until we had a nightmare experience on our last visit about a year ago. After years taking my insurance, Dr. Grady stopped being in-​network and failed to inform me, to charge me in full for the visit. At our visit, the office even asked if I still had that insurance and I confirmed! NO MENTION OF ANY CHANGE WAS MADE, until I received a very high bill. I asked to lower the bill to what my out-​of-​network refund would be, but there was NO FLEXIBILITY on Dr. Grady’s side. We exchanged several letters until I received a notice that she’ll resort to a collection attorney. Of course we sign a disclaimer when we enter the medical facility, so legally I may even be forced to pay that ridiculous bill, but I find it a very poor way to deal with a regular patient. Shameful.

I have three kids. They all love Dr. Grady! She is the best. They look forward to visiting her office each time! Even my son who had cavities filled! She is fun and thorough. My kids have had cavities filled, emergency dental work due to an accident, sealants, and now starting down the path of braces. I really trust her with my kids’ teeth and helping me as a parent to make informed decisions. I highly recommend her.
