Oliver Spencer

Oliver Spencer, like it’s sister location Odin in EV, is such a cute little store. The clothes are all great… from the shirts to the sweaters to the coats: good quality, original designs. A bit on the expensive side of course (quite expensive actually for my limited budget), so I wouldn’t shop there on a regular basis, but I am planning on going back and indulging a bit before Christmas. And as a big bonus, you get to hang out with Michael S.H., who works there… that alone is a good reason to check it out.

Mikey’s review is WAY too long for me to read, so I’m just going to ignore it. BUT I visited him at the workplace today and entertained him while he educated me about Oliver Spencer, men’s fashion and how it was a sister store of Den and Odin. I must have smelt like potpourri when I left as I had been sprayed with samplers of a variety of colognes, all pleasant smelling individually, but who knows what the combo was like except those who leaned on me at Vlada and promptly moved away later in the evening. Lesson learned, no more letting Mikey making me his guinea pig. Great clothes, I would buy it all if I could afford any of it.

I wandered in here for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Pleasant staff (apparently our own Michael!), and saw a number of tempting things. (Have to agree with Sam about the cool toggle coats, and 429 really does make the perfect gay t-​shirt.)

I was on the hunt for a tie to complete my birthday outfit, and I wandered in here purely by chance. It was really love at first sight. A sleek, smart layout filled with some of my favorite great brands like Rag & Bone, Rogue Gallery, and the store’s namesake. I’m pretty much in love with everything in the fall collection right now: Merino mesh scarves! Toggle Coats! Tweed blazers! Long-​sleeve Rogue Gallery V-​necks! So un-​cheap, but all of it SO hot!
And then, as if I couldn’t love this place any more, then it turns out the adorable Michael H works here! I love it when my Elite pop up in the most random places. With his help I decided on an «poppin» grey flannel Rag and Bone skinny tie for my outfit. And I looked damn on hot on my b-​day (natch). I will clearly be back. Often.
