To the weary travelers tired eyes, Olio e Piú stands alone as a beacon of flavorful light, an oasis of culinary wonder. Was I greeted by a goddess? Was it my queen? Mayhaps. There were goodies and pizzas a plenty, and appies and salads galore. You want bottles of veen? I had 20! But who cares. No big deal! I wanted more!!! Perhaps it was Ariel the Little Mermaid who summoned these wondrous crustaceans from the depths of the sea. That I will never know. But alas I must anchor upon what I do know. I recommend this today. I recommend this tomorrow. I recommend this forever more!

Olio e Piú is practically perfect in my eyes, which have been to the beautiful country of Italy many times. The atmosphere reminded me of a quaint café I ate at in Verona, with the colorful flowers that surround every table, and the rustic design of the seats and tables. The food was delectable… I highly recommend you start with the ricotta bruschetta(a thick slice of warm, grilled bread, slathered with fresh, creamy ricotta). Delish! The complimentary appetizer was also an unexpected and delightful treat. :) My meal was excellent, I went with the Sacchettoni(which are basically larger tortellini). My friend decided on the Spaghetti Carbonara which was also an excellent choice… done in a traditional way with an egg in the middle of the bowl to mix in yourself! What a meal! I highly recommend! :)

Approaching Olio you will find yourself entering an ivy-covered façade that adds a magical touch when you cross the threshold. My friends and I were a large group on a weekday evening. Thankfully, we reserved beforehand and were seated in a large table surrounded by florals and patrons in this quaint yet loud environment. The staff was patient with us, and although our wait was about 45 minutes long, the sight of our dishes was like looking at the Gates of Heaven. Once, I bit into the first bite of the Verduro Pizza with Peppers, I gasped in the amount of flavor and richness of the sauce. It instantly became one of my favorite pizza dishes and finished the whole entrée with a bulging stomach and a silly grin on my face.

Olio was great with large parties. However, we waited a long time to order our food and the server brought our complimentary appetizers late and didn’t bring us any small plates. That being said, the ambiance is great and the food was very good.

Highly recommend this place. I had the Pollo al Pesto… omg it was delicious! It was over arugula & potatoes in a light pesto. The atmosphere was good as well as it in the village. We sat outside which I’m really not a big fan of but it was a beautiful night. My boyfriend had the Spaghetti with clams & he said it was really good. A little pricey but it’s the city. I would definitely go back.

Sitting outside and eating pizza on a beautiful Spring Day in NYC. While wandering around the Village we stopped by this resto for an early dinner. I had walked by this place numerous times but never really thought about dining there. So glad we did this time. As it was a perfect sunny day out and not too hot we sat in the outside patio seating which is kind of picturesque with all the flowers and plants adorning the space. Had a chance to check out the inside too and it has a very nice décor with a cozy atmosphere. Very Italian like you’re eating in a villa. Clean bathroom too. Service is terrific, and friendly with attentive service without being pushy. We enjoyed our meals and did not feel rushed to give up our seats even though it was pretty busy and tables were at a premium for those waiting. The homemade brick oven pizza is delicious! Also tasty was the jumbo shrimp with pasta, and the lemon ricotta panna cotta with cappuccino made for a happy ending. Great spot for an easy dinner, a date, or to just hang with friends. Loved it! Highly recommended. Life is good at times. Especially when pizza is involved!

Cute Italian spot — outdoor seating was perfect with a flower shop next to the restaurant. No wait on a Saturday evening. Go-to cocktail was refreshing Antipasto misto and the bread was a meal itself and a great start! Carbonara was rich and savory(Thanks to the yolk) Will be trying their pizzas!

Delicious dinner here this Saturday night. I enjoyed pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe. It was excellent. Not sure what my wife ate as I was too busy enjoying my meal. The service was ok. It was a little to hot in the restaurant for me let me suggest a short sleeve shirt. I sat in the doorway between inside and outside. Before I end let me say that the smell of people smoking cigarettes on the sidewalk made my food taste less great then it was. The people smoking i assume didn’t get to taste their food at all cause they ruined their mouths with foul cig smoke. There should be a 50 foot rule from all outside dining.

Came here for dinner wth my girl friends — heard the cabonara is amazing so we each ordered a plate :) Super rich but tasty and filling. Also ordered an antipasto misto — the burrata was delicious! I had to minus one star as the bread was a little burnt and not salty enough but otherwise this place is great!

Love this restaurant! Such a cozy atmosphere, outside seating area in front also very charming, great food and service; and late hours, open until 4am. Atmosphere. So charming, cozy, romantic. Rustic dark wood tables lit with candles, interesting chairs with rod iron backing and flower baskets hung throughout. Very sweetly decorated. Food and wine were great. Had several appetizers: the grilled octopus, mussels and a Bruschette with sundried tomato pesto were all excellent as was the red wine. Highly recommend for dinner or appetizers and late night — with friends or a date.

The lobster risotto is perfectly cheesy without being too much. The chunks of lobster and crunch of the almonds give the dish a nice touch. For dessert, the molten chocolate cake really means it when they say it’s «molten.» The chocolate is not too sweet, and the gelato pairs very nicely. The tiramisu is a veritable tub of mascarpone, and the lady fingers are airy and light.

This place is 100% atmosphere. Like I saw it from across the street walking down 7th Avenue and bolted over. It has a magnetic effect, the outdoor seating, the vine draped building with a huge wooden wine bar inside. Beautiful circular tables with plenty of space and ample natural white lights inside. It’s airy and shady here, a great place to enjoy a long cup of coffee — which is rather watery — and chill with a friend. There’s a nice mix of locals, Europeans and couples chilling here — a lot of them are ordering the pizza; I’ve seen better. I just had myself an asparagus, which was really vinegar intensive, not much cheese. I enjoyed pouring olive oil in the base and dipping my bread in it. The bread was dabs. Okay food, laid back service and incredible seating. A great place to pass the afternoon.

I pass by Olio e Più all the time, and finally had a chance to stop by for lunch — and I really liked it! This traditional Italian restaurant has a great outdoor seating that’s perfect for warm, spring weather. There is a flower shop right next to it, so you can also enjoy the wonderful scent of fresh flower as you dine. I had the Cavatelli al Cinghiale. Since pappardelle(wide thin pasta) is my favorite, I asked if they could use that instead and my special request was easily accommodated. The pasta was cooked al dante, and mixed in with rich wild boar ragu. I loved the addition of whipped ricotta, which added a nice note of aireness to the dish. Even though the menu had«root vegetables» in the descriptions, they must have ran out because I didn’t see any on my plate. The only other complaint is that the dish could have used one fewer dash of salt, but other than that it was tasty.

This was the first place we stumbled upon and I’m so glad! For Sunday brunch, there was no wait. We sat outside and service was quick. I loved everything about the Benedict(poached eggs /prosciutto di parma /hollandaise) including the salad and potatoes. I’m excited to come back and try the pastas and pizzas.

Well after the waiter dropped the silverware onto my white blazer, I anticipated things couldn’t get much worse; indeed I was wrong. The gluten free pizza tastes worse than any stale matzah I have ever had. I’d rather eat dominos gluten free pizza. And don’t bother ordering the pasta with garlic, chili flakes, and olive oil, because it is plain and bland. I was really confused when they brought it out, legitimately thought it was a joke. Never coming back.

Came here for dinner this weekend with my girlfriends. Food was amazing – we split the octopus, bolognese and a side of veggies. Octopus was perfectly grilled and the sauce had a nice spice to it. Atmosphere was also great – good people watching near the window and was warm and cozy inside. Would definitely come here again. Waitstaff was attentive and really nice. Highly recommended!

Came here for dinner on a Friday night with a group of friends. In sum, place was AMAZING. To echo other reviewers, the ambiance is cozy and intimate with lots of long tables for big groups as well as smaller nooks and crannies for couples. Food is absolutely fantastic! Char grilled octopus was some of the most tender and sweet I’ve ever tasted. The bruschetta ricotta was fresh and to die for. Our waiter, Diego was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive and double checked all dishes with the kitchen to assuage our pregnant friend’s needs. Overall amazing!!! Would def recommend this place to everyone. Only reason for 4 stars is the noise level– probably not so bad for a close couple but more difficult to communicate over a long table with a large group. Will be coming back!

Such delicious pizza & beautiful ambient Came here one rainy night to have a bite of pizza, and was quite impressed by the quality of their Napoletan recipe. Thin crust, and mouth watering taste of their pizza, coming straight from their wood brick oven. I had Reginella with extra ham If you want to have a tasty pizza with a nice glass of red wine, this is a spot to visit in Greenwich Village. Considering their ambience and cozy atmosphere, with piano playing softly in the background i would not think twice to bring a date here 4.99*

Just had an amazing brunch with friends. Our waitress, Alison, picked up in our Spanish and immediately started talking to us in our own language which is, to me, a very good first sign of excellent service. The food is amazing, the ambiance is cozy and warm. Totally recommend this place for brunch. Will definitely come back.

Lovely Italian restaurant! So glad I found it and got to have dinner here. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara which was delicious! The egg on top MADE the meal! So savory and hearty. I know if I’m ever famished and in the area this is the one dish I will surely order. We had the Pizza Nutella for desert and word of caution: this desert is too much just for 2 people to share! You will take some of the desert home which is not a bad thing, but be warned its definitely for 3 people to share! Lovely dining experience and will come back!

She immediately informed us of the great 50% off on bottles of wine! Then was able to provide an excellent recommendation for us to enjoy with our meal! Went here on xmas. Food was good, service not so much. That could have been because the staff was low due to the holiday though. We ordered the bruschetta, brussel sprouts, carbonara, mozzarella pizza, and salad. Everything was good! My only negative comment about the food was that the egg on the brussel sprouts did not have a runny yolk — it was over cooked which was disappointing. The carbonara is good, but a bit heavy(disclosure: i have a carbonara bias, i always find it heavy). The pizza was definitely good but by no means the best in NY. Overall a tasty meal but not going to go out of my way for it.

I ate here with a few friends the other night. All in we had a really good time. I would say the best thing about the place is the ambiance. It is really cute, has a huge pizza oven visible, and the night we were there they had a piano player who played a great mix of classics and modern songs. Just generally a really cozy vibe. As for the food we were all pleased. We all had pasta(fresh made) and there were no complaints. I had the Linguine Nere alla Sarda which was very tasty. I would have loved it if not for being a bit too oily. I was happy it had big chunks of octopus in it rather than calamari(which is never cooked well). The coup de grace for us was the Pizza Nutella(dessert). This is reason enough to come here. It was amazing.

No. Don’t do it. It was hard to find somewhere to eat on Christmas night but luckily this place was open and right around the corner from us. We were hoping that the reviews we read on Unilocal would live up to the hype. We were seated immediately, which was nice. But I should have been tipped off by the stained and dirty menu that was handed to me. For an appetizer, we got the bruchetta, which was basically 3 slices of an italian loaf, gently grilled and slathered with hummus. It was blah — who can’t smear hummus on bread?! For an entrée, I got the bolognese, which was not good. It didn’t taste fresh and visions of «Kitchen Nightmares» danced in my head. We also got a pizza, which was soggy, tasteless and had an odd texture. Our bill(which only included one cocktail) was over $ 60 for two entrees and one appetizer. Our server was nice enough but that’s not going to ever make me consider coming back. No, thank you.

Terrible staff, and host. We walked in without a reservation, however the host agreed to give us a table for the bet 2hours. After 45mins they wanted the table back from us while we had just received our plates, after 10mins she came back again to remind us that she will need the table very soon. The rudest and most disrespectful experience that you can have when you are trying to enjoy your meal.

I came here on a warm Saturday afternoon and was seated outside, very charming restaurant with cute old tables set up. I was a little disappointed by the food. I ordered the arugula salad with pear, Gorgonzola, and candied walnuts which was pretty good the cheese made the dish. Next, I had the eggplant pizza which was just OK… It was really soggy not very flavorful at all. I think this was the first time ever I had to put salt on my pizza. The service was good and They have 50% off wines so I would potentially come back for that.

Went to dinner around 8pm on a Thursday night here and luckily my friend was able to snag one of the last open tables. All I wanted this night was some good food and good drinks, and Olio e Più definitely delivered. I first looked through their wine«book» but then saw the cocktail menu and since they were reasonably priced I decided to go with a cocktail. I got the summer olio, with gin, st Germaine, and cucumber purée. Wow this drink was good. The cucumber purée made the drink taste so fresh and exactly what I wanted. Then, for the food. We decided we would share 2 things. Originally we were going to do a pizza and a pasta but honestly none of the pastas were that intriguing. We decided to go with 2 pizzas — the reginella which was a margarita with buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes, and the truffle pizza. The truffle pizza was a bit pricey but my friend and I are the biggest truffle lovers so it was worth it to order. The pizzas were perfectly cooked with the right amount of chewiness in the crust. The flavors were delicious and the mixture of the tomato sauce pizza with the truffle pizza was the perfect balance. It was one of the best truffle pizzas I’ve had. The only complaints I had was that it was a tad too expensive and that it took a very long time for us to get our bill. But I will definitely try and come back!

Food: Very Good Service: Very Good Ambience: Very Good I came here for dinner with a friend and was seated immediately. The staff were polite and attentive but not friendly. I was here for dinner on Wednesday night so the place was not filled but still had about 70% of tables occupied. The crowd was a mix of group of friends, young couples and families. I ordered bruschetta and pizza and both were really good. I will say not the very best I have ever had but above average. Will I come here again? Yes. If I could give 3.5 stars I would.
