She called me a b*tch and then yelled at my friend because my friend objected. So many of the other reviewers below(that Unilocal is hiding) had similar experiences. In addition to being racist and a liar, she is a bad business person. I asked her clearly how long the wait would be, as my friend and I had an appointment in 30 minutes across the street. I was asking for a simple wash — no blow dry. She kept saying«right away» but 10 minutes had passed. I said, politely, that I would need to leave so as not to be late to the appointment. Instead of lying to me and being horribly rude afterward, she could have just been honest.

I loved this place and had a great experience! Did a facial and haircut. They were so accommodating to my late arrival and offered me tips on my face and hair regiments. After the facial my hair was a bit out of place(understandably) but the very nice lady blew it dry again and they treated me so well. It was so much fun i felt like a princess with one doing my hair and the other still adding things to my face. ill be back!

I was shopping around in the area cutting it very close to a blow out appointment in Brooklyn I was definitely going to miss. I looked up and saw Olga’s salon, so I cancelled my appt and walked right in. I was seen immediately, no one was in the salon but Olga. There were some random bird noises though, I guess she keeps a pet bird in the back. She was direct and to the point. The wash was a little rough, not very relaxing, but hey — I came in with minimal expectations. The blow out was also a bit rough, but she was quick and got it done. It actually looked amazing! I was pleasantly surprised. Guys, Olga is a very down to earth lady. Just keep in mind that she tells it like it is. Some people respect that.

I asked her for something pretty specific and she gave it to me, I was really shocked because I never get what I want at salons. I left feeling like a million bucks AND my boyfriend loved it. She was more affordable than three other places I was quoted prior in the area. I’d go back for sure!

I’ve been coming to Olga’s since 2005 for haircuts. I wouldn’t think my hair is terribly difficult to cut, but I’ve had many hair stylists mess it up(this became apparent when I moved to Boston for two years of grad school and got awful haircuts!). Olga is one of the few who has gotten it right time and again. I’ve always had terrific service from Olga and feel welcomed and at home.

Not changing my review at all(haven’t been back, never will be) — just coming back to assure my fellow reviewer Sarah G. that my emotional health is excellent, thanks so much for the good wishes. Simply don’t appreciate being treated terribly by a wannabe stylist in a crummy salon, and your absolutely glowing review didn’t ring true with anything I experienced there. Sorry for falsely accusing you of being Olga — turns out you are just a self-righteous know-it-all. Kisses! P. S. I recommend the Drybar for anyone looking for a great blowout and excellent service.

Awful. They make promises about skills that thru absolutely do NOT have in any way whatsoever.

I’ve gone to Olga’s a few times before and wasn’t very impressed. I got waxing done there a couple times which was OK but nothing to write home about – more convenient at the time than anything else. I also got a massage there at least a couple times. While I liked the cool cedar massage room, last time the woman giving me the massage had weak hands and it just wasn’t getting the job done. Overall, if you are in the FiDi and really need something done at a salon, I guess Olga’s is OK, but otherwise, I would go elsewhere.
