Cool little coffee truck. Which makes a decent coffee to my liking but a tad expensive. We all have to pay our rent somehow.

I haven’t tried their speciality beverages such as lattes or other espresso-based drinks(hence the three rating), but I did get an awesome cup of drip coffee! Once I try more things I can better rate this truck. I stopped here instead of the Starbucks near my internship since I like trying new coffee spots, and I was pleased. Pricing for a few items seemed high, but nothing I couldn’t live with in regards to buying specialty espresso drinks. The staff was super friendly, and a 16 oz cup of coffee is only $ 2 flat! It’s cheaper than the café at which I have worked for a long time. If you spot this truck I recommend giving it a shot(pun totally intended).

Made a pit-stop here when they were parked in SoHo. Got a needed boost from this espresso-happy coffee truck. Pretty expensive for a truck, so I would probably leave 3.5 stars if I could, but quality beans and I didn’t have to wait long.

The baristas don’t bother to tamp, clean their machine, or steam milk for each order. So each shot of espresso is sour with acrid flavors from rotting coffee oils and stale milk.

Awesome coffee! Extremely reliable and friendly staff and coffee always delicious. AND today I was there and a man was working who I had never seen/met before, and as I went to order I realized I did not have cash on me so I apologized and started to walk away. Instantly the man called out and said money is a secondary concern and asked what I wanted. He made me a soy cappuccino and said not to worry about it and I can pay him back next time. It was such a natural decision for him and was such a kind gesture. And the cappuccino was excellent.

not bad if you want an iced drink for a treat, the drinks are a bit pricey. I think I paid 5 $ for a small drink. They have a variety of flavors you won’t find at starbucks or dunkin so it’s worth a try. What I did love was the non-bitter taste of the coffee blend in these drinks. Also, I don’t know what they put in here but my energy level shot up instantly.

Wow! Can’t believe the negative reviews. The Chai and vanilla lattes are excellent! I’ve even gotten a few friends hooked.

I get this coffee when the truck is at Wall Street. It’s very good. I haven’t had their espresso, but their drip coffee is solid and way better than any other coffee downtown. The make a mean iced coffee as well, and the people that run it are really friendly.

**This truck was parked outside of the entrance of Prospect Park on a Saturday afternoon** After running almost close to 10 miles, I was drained, and I needed a pick-me-up. I saw this truck and made beeline for it. The line was long, but whatever. I got a large iced soy latte($ 5). A bit overpriced, and I was a bit underwhelmed. Oh well, it served its purposes. Not sure where the love fits into all of this…

I don’t see the problem with this truck. It may fool you, but it isn’t the Mud Truck. However, it still spits out great coffee. I recently went because I needed a Sunday afternoon pick up(getting old, can’t do those Saturday nights anymore…) while checking out the Holiday Market at Union Square. Stop by for a good strong ice coffee served by a cute barista. And unlike some places, the large is actually a large. Uh-mur-rica. We live large.

This truck is crazy! Music is loud and the coffee guy had good energy, but service and coffee was horrible! My friend asked for a Reg mochacino, and it turns out the coffee guy made it with non fat milk. Instead of making another one correctly, he just poured Half and half in my friends drink and said– there you go! Seriously??? I should have refused to pay. The coffee wasn’t that great either. Don’t waste your time here

Only in New York City would a place like this fly. Take worse than average coffee(my Keurig makes it better at home), but deliver it from a trendy, hipster, gimmicky looking truck, and it will sell! Over $ 5 for a latte?! You’ve got to be kidding me. I know it’s novelty blah blah blah but for that, I’d rather go to the Starbucks next door.

This truck needs a little more love in its reviews! I got the iced chai for a lotta love and it was a lotta chai. $ 5 for a huge serving. I should have just gotten lil’ love size. Good chai flavor in general, but it could have been stronger(I like big bold flavors over subtlety).

expresso was good and so was the coffee. the servers are always friendly and helpful. Reminds me of the Mudd Truck(probably because of the name and that it’s orange to.

Surprised to see the range of reviews. My advice: Keep it simple and order a lil’ love. At $ 1, downside is limited. Upside potential is that the combination of steamed milk and rich coffee could provide a needed kickstart to a Saturday morning. Next time I’ll… order a «lil’ love»

I was cold and in need of a caffeine boost. I ordered a cup o coffee light milk one sugar. Coffee was watery, slightly warmer than body temp temp and tasted like he used simple syrup instead of of sugar. It was annoyingly sweet. Doubt I will order from this truck again.

It was cold, I wanted something warm to hold in my freezing hands. Food: I needed something to warm me, and coffee sounded good. Once I looked at the menu, everything looked good because it looked warm, but I settled on the peppermint hot chocolate. Sadly, it wasn’t very good, tasted mostly like warm milk. Not even hot, and on such a cold day I wanted something scalding. It was more than lukewarm, but far less than burning. Think your coffee’s temp after you forget about it for 20 minutes. Yeah, not what I wanted. Couldn’t even really taste the peppermint. Venue: It’s a truck that serves things. Not new in NYC, but don’t be fooled, it looks a lot like Mud Truck, same color and all. Tell-tale sign: No music playing. I found it at Union Square after browsing the Holiday Market, and had I not been in dire need, probably wouldn’t have stopped. The location’s probably good for them, but I’m surprised the Mud Truck people haven’t decided to hold a drag race for truck rights to the neighborhood – the Love Truck seems to be infringing on Mud’s turf.

I have been known to frequent the Love Truck ever since I discovered it near work. I have found the coffee to be a better quality than nearby delis, which serve really inferior coffee. The standard overall of coffee in New York is really low. This why I am so happy when I turn the corner and this orange eye sore is parked on the adjacent corner. The truck offers quite a bit of variety and is quick. The wait is not that long and it is relatively inexpensive. One downside to this concession is the truck doesn’t serve treats of any kind. Overall, if this truck is on your way to or from somewhere and Starbucks disappoints you, I would recommend the Love Truck.

Yeah, I got fooled and thought it was a Mud truck. I won’t make that mistake again. The mint mocha was neither minty or mocha-y. It was watery; milky, at best. Vom. Avoid.

Good concept; poor execution. I saw this truck parked on Broadway, on the East side of the corner with 14th St./Union Sq. S, next to a kebab cart. It was clearly trying to imitate The Mud Truck with its bright orange colouring and virtually identical font, and in fact, at first I thought it WAS The Mud Truck. But no, it was a different mobile caffeine dealer, one that according to the barista often parks at 6th and 14th, and somewhere else I forgot. The prices are surprisingly low, and the service was friendly and fast, but the coffee was disappointing. It wasn’t terrible — I did drink it all — but I wouldn’t get it again. Their sign boasted the«LoveCappuccino’(‘lil = $ 2.25) with ‘lots of foam, little milk’ and instead I got ‘lots of milk, little foam’ — and meagre, flimsy foam made of large bubbles which dissipated immediately upon contact with my mouth. WTF is it with this city and these capppuccinos-cum-lattes? I am going to MURDER the next person who serves me an overmilked, foam-deprived monstrosity instead of a proper cappuccino. Okay, so, too much milk, not enough foam, and the espresso wasn’t very good, and rather distinctly un-espresso-like. In fact, based on what I saw occurring behind the counter, it may have even just been COFFEE, and not actually espresso. Can you imagine? I guess it explains the low prices, but I’m still aghast they would pull such a stunt. Oh — and they do not offer any sort of edibles beyond drinks. Sigh. Avoid The Love Truck, and stick to The Mud Truck for your caffeine needs.
