Excellent! Wonderful, fresh gluten free food. All of the charm and perfection of their Paris location now in NYC.

I can’t speak to the coffee as others have so it may be fantastic. The sweets though. I tried two of the«cakes» tonight and they are honestly more like health bread. They look like a nutty bread as well. I bought a slice tonight and figured well, maybe it is better for me than the cake I usually get at By The Way Bakery(a bit more expensive, also in the neighborhood but without a lot of inventory which brought me to this new spot). Upon check out I asked what the gluten substitute was and she tapioca starch, potato starch and a few other starches. All standard stuff so it’s not healthier, just much drier and nuttier in texture, look and taste. I can’t imagine anyone feeling like they are eating cake when they try this so my suggestion is, if you are looking for a dessert, skip this place. That being said this place has quiches and sandwiches, something most other gluten free bakeries don’t have so this may be a spot for lunch. Coffee and a sandwich with gluten free bread could be nice. I am giving it two stars b/c I like GF options. Honestly I didn’t eat my cake after a couple bites.

A new place for a morning coffee break or snack. There are 3 other good places within 4 blocks where you can stop for coffee and breakfast after dropping off kids at school and before work. But this one is different. It’s more cosy and it’s gluten free so kind of trendy. The place is small, too small. But the French guy behind the counter makes yourself feel confortable and explains what are your options. I have tried only 3 or 4 pastries or breads but everything was good. They also have freshly squeezed juice in small bottles to go.

Direct from France a smart and elegant café with a pleasing array of pastries in the window welcoming in any passerby. Very nice service, fantastic coffee, and a vibrant interior. Whether or not gluten is a restriction, Noglu is a wonderful addition to the UES worth checking out.
