I only went once it was a mello vibe they have a bunch of soccer jerseys on the walls the drinks were alright kind of a lazy crowd I saw that they were promoting a videogame tournament online that was surprising.

We were on our way to Brazen Fox for a little Sunday Funday action but decided to try Nevada Smith’s instead. We were very glad we did! Great for watching football, there are TVs everywhere with all the different games. Beer towers are a great deal, $ 30 for 1 and contains 10 beers each. We ordered all the flavors of wings, chicken tenders, and mozz sticks. Nothing too special but good enough for a day of drinking! We sat on the second level, and our waiter, Luis, was attentive, quick and took good care of us! We will definitely be back for another Sunday Funday. Thanks!!!

This bar has great potential but sadly, doesn’t live up to it. Two floors, TV’s all over the place, even 2 for 1 drinks! You would think this place would be packed all the time. I went on a Friday night and there were only about 10 people there. The bartender I had didn’t know about any of the promos they were supposed to be having. Please train your bartenders on all promos and mobile apps you’re partnered with for a more seamless and less awkward/annoying situation. I was expecting so much better from the looks of it outside. Huge disappointment.

I passed this place heading to another bar. The guy outside was passing out bogo free coupons. Wen i walked in the music was on point. It seem like it was a flashback friday kinda thing. I was hooked lol. The drinks was on point. The bar wasnt too crowded. It was awesome. I would definitely go back

We headed to Nevada Smith’s for a friend’s birthday after it was moved from an even worse location down the street. There was a lot of space to accommodate our large group, and the bartenders were decent. They play super, super loud music, but no one was dancing. This place just wasn’t my thing.

An OK place to watch football, but if you want to eat or drink, forget it! We waited almost an hour for a round of drinks and snacks. When we chased the sweet but incompetent waitress couldn’t even recall our order. When the order finally arrived — at least the right number if not type of drinks — the waitress split a shot of tequila over the table and one of our friends, and didn’t even offer to help clean it up. And the food was not very nice.

Great for soccer fans. Most games are shown in 3 different levels. Must show ID at entrance. Show up early to pick a table for good viewing.

To further elaborate on Wilfredo R.‘s review… this place doesn’t even deserve one star! Nevada Smith’s please note, when you commit and sign yourself to participate in a Bourbon crawl, DONOTATTEMPTTOPASSOFCHEAPLIQUORTOCRAWLERSTHATARESMARTENOUGHTOREADTHEFINEPRINTANDKNOWWHATWEHAVECOMING!!! furthermore, your staff(bartender who didn’t know the difference between whisky and bourbon, seriously!) with an over inflated ego in broken English said«take it or leave it!» VAMONOS!!! we took our business next door to Bar None where we enjoyed and happily paid for a round of Bourbon for 3 and some vodka drinks to wash down the bad taste Nevada Smith’s left! see you never Nevada Smith’s I’d rather watch a game on my iPad than step foot in your establishment!

DONOTPATRONIZE the bar Nevada Smiths on 3rd Ave and E 12th. I had a reservation for 3 weeks, scheduled an event with 50+ people, and they just canceled it at 10pm the night before saying there was a soccer game on. Completely unapologetic. I am floored. They couldn’t care less, and told me I was free to talk poorly of them online. So here I am doing as I’m told. Do not give them your business. Awful. I’ve hosted events there before and they often were out of many liquors and didn’t restock, and once I showed up and many of their light bulbs had blown out, and I had to insist on them going to the store to replace them so that my guests could see. Do not go to this bar, there are many better ones in the area where the staff care about their customers.

The worst!!! They were the last leg of a Bourbon crawl. All the places we visited(over 700 of us) treated us with open arms. This place was the worst. Never again

Pretty good service, cute bartenders. Rangers night here is very vibrant. Happy hour specials are pretty spot on as well.

Nothing special, but it does host some cool events. I’ve come to Nevada Smith’s a few times. Two for work related events, one for a nerd themed party, and one just to drink. The place is always too loud, with spaces being tight and DJ’s always trying to compete with their own music. I don’t normally comment on bad music choices in bars, but the DJ’s they’ve hired not only play terrible music, but insist on stopping songs midway to shout random words like«Stop» «Partay» and«Wot wot». The drinks are average priced and if you’re going in the afternoon to watch sports on TV then you’ll be satisfied.

Nevada Smith’s. This was my 1st time since it had been renovated. The main big screen is fantastic although like all projection screens, not as crisp as a 70 inch HD tv but who cares, one goes there for the ambiance. Went during a Espanyol v Almeria game and I guess I had missed the Arsenal crowd from earlier. Drinks were decent, the bar is actually a lot more upscale than I would have expected. I will stop by for an FCB game and see what the crowd is like. I had a Guinness but did not try the food, it was very quiet during my visit. As far as the seating, somewhat limited but if you are going to a bar to watch a sporting event, odds are there will not be a lot of seating, duh. This truly is an «image is everything» bar.

I had the chance to check this sports bar last weekend as there was a Third Rail meeting which is a NYCFC fan club, this bar is known to be the biggest soccer sports bar in all NYC. You get greeted right away when u walk in by the bouncers, pretty cool guys, no nonsense, no smart remarks, just business at the front door. They have screens everywhere throughout all floors, u gotta take the stairs but I like it that way, they got finger food which I didn’t get a chance to try, however does look very appetizing. We were mostly on the 3rd floor and I had a great time, plenty of beer and liquor selection, prices are very decent keeping in mind you in NYC. Whats there not to like? I would deff b back a second time to watch NYCFC destroy any other team out there. NEVADASMITH u have gained a customer, cheers.

Had a great time at this bar watching the NCAA national championship(GOHOOS). They opened up the entire top bar early for my group and it was great, pretty much personal service for the entire game. MOZZSTICKSWEREBOMB

It’s a little unfortunate that this place has such a low rating, because it’s really not a terrible place. I wandered in with a friend during the tail end of happy hour(waiting for a dinner reservation), to be stopped by a bouncer looking to card us. Once we got past him, we entered a hall of fame-esque corridor, bannered in soccer jerseys and what not. The bar itself was pretty empty, so we just sat down and ordered a drink, enjoyed a talk, and then walked out. I’m sure it’s different during soccer season.

Went for the World Cup final, it was pretty awful. Highlights: –My friend and I got stuck at the front of the line when they announced they were«at capacity.» We asked if there was any possibility we could get in(e.g. if two people left), they told us the only way we’d get in would be if we paid $ 40 for the two of us. I was ready to leave, but my friend really wanted to meet up with two of our friends who were already inside, so he paid the ransom. –While waiting on line to get into the room with the big screen on the third floor, I heard a different bouncer telling some guy he’d help him get his friend in for $ 30. Apparently, that’s how things work at Nevada Smith’s. –On top of being extortionists, the bouncers were absolute jerks, screaming at everybody. I understand that they might have been a bit overwhelmed at the number of people there(although they probably shouldn’t have been, considering it’s the«number one soccer bar in NYC» or whatever), but that’s no excuse to berate anybody who poked their head out the door to see if their friend had arrived. –There was no air conditioning and the packed to the brim room we were standing in had nothing but a fan to cool it down. And it smelled. –A decent sized chunk of the crowd seemed to have no interest in watching the game, which is fine, but not really what I’m looking for. The only positive was the very attentive waitress, who braved the sweaty and stinky crowd to bring drink orders. Needless to say, I don’t see myself coming back here any time soon.

Just a terrible bar. Went here for the world cup final. Given that it is the biggest soccer bar in NYC, of course I expected it to be crowded(it was), but was it so unreasonable to expect that it also be air conditioned? The jerkface bouncers didn’t help either, rudely yelling at me to go upstairs or downstairs, while I tried to wait a few minutes for my friend to get through the line outside. After 3 hot, sweaty hours, drinking overpriced($ 8 for a Bud Light??) beer out of plastic cups, I was glad to get the hell out and will never be coming back. Only reason for the 2 stars vs. 1 is that we did have a really nice waitress who kept the drinks flowing to the cramped room upstairs where I watched the game, thus allowing me and my friends to avoid the absurdly long bar lines.

I went here to watch a few World Cup matches. It’s a decent place to physically watch the game as the there floors have ample televisions and screens projecting the game. They also played the game in both english and Spanish(on separate floors) which was a nice touch. The drinks are reasonable($ 6 beers) however there is very little seating. Be prepared to stand the entire match, which can get incredibly tiring. Decent place to watch a match, but definitely not a destination.

I have never been to the old location, but have been to the temporary location at Webster Hall and had lots of fun watching the South American games there 2 summers ago. My friends and I all patiently waited for the new Nevada’s to open in the meantime. Fast forward 18 months later: I actually stumbled upon the new location by accident during our St. Patty’s day pub crawl while looking for a bathroom(thankfully, it was not a St. Pattys pub crawl crowd, as everyone there was glued to the Aston Villa v Chelsea match). We stayed for a shot, caught the end of the game(such a shame, Chelsea), and checked out the new digs(nice). After all the anticipation of the reopening, I am slightly underwhelmed. Would I come here again? Sure, if I happened to be around and there was a good match on, but I wouldn’t make it a destination otherwise.

Fußballbundesliga in NY? Man.
