My lactation consultant referred me to Marianne for some postpartum issues I was having. After having several physicians know very little about symphysis pubis dysfunction(also known as pelvic girdle pain), I was thrilled and relieved to find Marianne who specializes in physical therapy for women following childbirth. I additionally had some organ prolapse issues as well as needing to put my pelvic floor back to work and Marianne immediately began working with me to develop specific exercises to address these problems. With all these issues, I really only needed three sessions to get things on the road to recovery. Marianne was so personable yet professional and always made me feel at ease. If you have a baby in NYC, you really owe it to yourself to schedule a few sessions with a physical therapist that is an expert on these issues. Save yourself the trouble of explaining your situation to general physical therapists and get to MRPT. On a side note, the front office staff are highly organized, friendly and efficient. They were extremely accommodating to me and my family who accompanied me to appointments to watch our newborn baby.

Finally got the chance to write a review. I absolutely love Marianne. She is my physical therapist and she has made me so aware of women’s health. There isn’t much information about what women experience after child birth to be manageable or reversible That says a lot considering I do a lot of research. She has worked with me and made me feel comfortable. She leaves me with exercises to do in my spare time that way I can be on a quicker journey to recovery. I enjoy coming into her physical therapy office. She is really personable and attentive.

This place was on a list of therapists given to me by my OB for persistent pregnancy pains and mobility issues, and was a 2-minute walk from my office. The appointments always start on time which is awesome when trying to schedule something in between meetings and a busy workday. Marianne, whom I presume owns the practice given the name, is knowledgeable both professionally and personally on pregnancy related ailments, and has her patient’s best interest at heart… she actually recommended that I see a chiropractor to have the Webster Technique done when my baby was still breech at 71⁄2 months. I’ll definitely be going back sometime postpartum for sessions to help get my tummy back in shape.
