Saw Dada woof papa hot at this theatre tonight. The play was great, the sets were greater! Nice acoustics, I sat in the back and could see and hear everything perfectly. Small theatre in Lincoln Center. Comfortable seats — semi circular seating. The lockers are no longer in use due to security reasons — I asked. Clean bathroom. M65 bus is right outside. There are many restaurants nearby but they are very pricey– I checked at least seven different restaurants. They had security too.

3-stars, only due to the awesomeness of the intimate space, comfortable and large seating, and cool lockers for storing your belongings(if you can grab one). Other than that… meh. Very steep stairs, sight lines are a nightmare with this very«nearly theater in the round» stage(which is also up to each Director to conquer. But my colleague has seen MANY shows in this space, and has always had this complaint… and I concur), hallways leading to certain seating areas are very narrow, which makes getting to your seat or bathroom difficult, and not a drop of reception being underground. I would never NOT see a piece of theater just because of the space. But definitely not my favorite venue in the city.

The BF and I visited the Mitzi to see Durang’s «Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike». The theater itself is utilitarian(in a good way) and it was exciting to see some big name actors in such a small venue. Highlights: — Intimately sized — Stadium-style, semi-circle seating arrangement with clear sight lines — Wonderful accoustics — Pleasant staff Tip: The address is on 65th but it is a part of Lincoln Center so if you walk into Lincoln Center’s main courtyard off Columbus and head toward the right you’ll find it without walking around the side.
