I found Michael to be very disappointing. I will give an example. I was a patient of his for years. On a Sunday, my tooth starting hurting intensely. I called his service and told them of the intense pain. After several hours he called me back. I started explaining my symptoms to him over the phone. Then, we got«cut off.» I called his service to tell them that we got cut off and I need him to call me back because of the pain. He never did. I went to his office the next day and I needed an emergency root canal. When I asked why he did not call me back the previous night, he said that he thought I dropped off because everything was magically okay. What audacity! And what an idiot! I had to listen to him tell me that he had wanted to become a lawyer, but it was the 60s and he could not get a draft deferment for going to law school, but only for medical school and dental school. He could not get into medical school, so dental school was the choice he made. Who tells a story like this to a patient?

I live in CA but this is the only dentist I trust, so I always see him when I come back to New York. He is quite simply the best. My teeth are in great shape thanks to Dr. Chesner. No unnecessary procedures. A good man with a good manner, and I’ve never felt a moment of pain in his chair. I wish I could give him ten stars for the care he has provided to me and my family over the years.
