I had a fantastic evening here with a few friends. Didn’t really know what to try and it turned out only 2 of the 4 were eating in my party. We asked them to just bring us out some of the best things on the menu and it did not disappoint. They started with the charred octopus and it was great. Not quite the best I’ve had in the city but close. Next was their trio of spreads. It is a large enough portion to feel like you are getting an adequate amount to enjoy. It comes with one small loaf of flatbread but you will have to order more. It’s a bit filling but delicious. One really cool thing about this spot is the bottoms less sangria they offer Sun-Thurs. A nice way to enjoy a great restaurant on a budget.

My wife and I are beginning to read«bottomless brunch» as «keep out, our food is sub par and our clientele is obnoxious» when we approach new restaurants. While the latter was not true during our visit to Mezetto(the customers and the customer service was fine), the former was. How do you screw up hummus? Ask the people in the kitchen at Mezetto. Utterly bland with raw chickpeas floating around in it, the only decent thing was the flat bread that accompanied it. We could make better at home. The falafel in the falafel«buns» was dry and unremarkable and the doughy texture of the buns did not mesh well with it. The harissa aioli was pretty tasty but didn’t pull the dish together. My wife had the white truffled piazetta which she enjoyed, so there’s that, but her latte was horrible. In the end what really hurt was the fact that we paid $ 60($ 49 for the food + $ 10 tip) for 3 appetizers, a latte and a cup of tea. Stupid expensive for the quality and portions. The service was exceptional which is what saved this from being a one star review. With so many great food options in NYC why waste your time and money here?

Delicious cozy spot for brunch. Came here the morning of a big blizzard so there was no wait for a seat, but there was still a good amount of people. I ordered the pork eggs benedict and grilled shrimp saganaki. The shrimp was succulent and tossed in a sweet yet citrusy cream sauce. I also got the unlimited mimosas with four flavors to choose from — pomegranate, orange, peach, and passion fruit. For $ 17 per person, it was a pretty good value. I would come back to try some of the other dishes on the menu!

Always downskies for some mezettoskies. Don’t want to beat a dead horse, but this one takes the cake. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel for boozy brunch. Mezetto’s is first class(Indians, you know what I mean).

Went last Weekend for dinner craving for good Greek food. The restaurant is smaller than it looks like in the pictures, the environment was cozy. We ordered mezzes as starters, hummus and aspargus to share. Mezzes were wonderful, small though Hummus was as expected. Good Aspargus were served in a kind of creamy cheese which was ok, but we thought it would be a light dish and it wasn’t; too much cream.

I have been to Mezetto 3 times for dinner and every time I leave happy and satisfied. This is one of the few restaurants in NYC I feel I can go for any occasion — whether date, with friends, just drinks with snacks, or a full course dinner. The noise level is perfect — it’s never too quiet or loud but you can maintain the privacy. I also love the restaurants with the edge — like Mezetto incorporating middle eastern flavors in food and drinks. We started off with limonana and old fashioned — both were probably the best I’ve ever had. Refreshing, perfectly strong, and I loved the«5 spice syrup» they make in-house for the delicious and smooth old fashioned. These two are must have cocktails here. I did not get to try any house cocktails but they have a happy hour till 7:30 even on weekends. Every time we are here we order a number of small dishes and share entrees. This time we started off with the smoked trout croquettes, pork rillettes and steak tartar, followed by grilled octopus and falafel buns. The winners were the croquettes, pork rillettes and grilled octopus. For entrée we had the paella, salmon, and truffled gnocchi. Paella has the harissa Middle Eastern spices which gave the additional layers of flavors to the rice, clams and shrimp. The gnocchi was light and fluffy which would also be nice as an appetizer. The highlight of the dinner was halva parfait — 3 different textures of halva with creamy caramel sauce is something you cannot miss. One other thing to separate this restaurant from others is the owner/managers/bartenders are all very passionate about the food and drinks. It’s worth a visit even just for the drinks and something light to eat.

On a visit to NYC this place caught our eye with ‘bottomless mimosas’ written on a sign. Liking bottomless anything, as well as mediterranean food we decided to give it a try. The food was very good. I ordered the shawarma steak skillet which was(delicious) potatoes, a fried egg, and sliced shawarma style steak all with a sauce that mixed well with the egg yolk. The steak was very tender and it all went well with a bit of each part in each bite. They had 4 flavors of mimosa to choose from and you got up to 90 minutes. Swapping flavors was permitted and they were very attentive to refills. Very solid, would recommend.

Don’t expect to get a seat at a table on the weekend without a reservation. When I went there were four open tables… just sitting there for the entire time we waited for a seat at the bar(we waited 30−45min). Sat at the bar — I am the type of person that loves to sit at a bar… just not this one. The bartender was kind of an airhead. Every time the«champagne» aka cheap sparkling wine was refilled he would fill the bucket with ice… each time just completely missing and flinging ice into our laps. Food: fine. nothing to write home about. I actually have to think about what i had… oh yes, the spanakopita omlette. It was a little cold. I’ve had much better bottomless mediterranean brunches in the city. This specific brunch I was not drinking which I’m glad I did not spend the $ 17 on bottomless. Would I go back? Probably not Would I suggest it to a friend? Probably Not

All time favorite brunch spot! The restaurant itself is small and cozy so it doesn’t get too loud like most bottomless brunch places. Definitely make a reservation tho because it does get crowded. If not, you can still get a seat at the bar, which has open seating. You also get to sit near Jose, the COOLEST bartender. He’s hilarious and makes sure your drinks are never empty. He also makes«special» off the menu drinks every once in a while to switch it up. ;) The food is amazing too. Definitely try the baked egg or steak shakshuka. Soooo good!!! Would come back again and again!

Food: decent variety for being a middle eastern restaurant. They have pizzas, omelettes, a variety of salads and sandwiches. The falafel buns were great… Bottomless mimosas were a good deal($ 16 for 1.5 hrs) and there were a variety of flavors Service: our waiter was great. Very attentive, made good recommendations for food Ambience: somewhat casual. Both high tops and normal tables as well as bar seats. Was here for brunch so not sure how it is in the evening

Not the best brunch place I’ve been to in terms of food quality, but the service was great. When we first arrived, we were directed to wait at the bar and given menus to look at while the staff set up our table. I thought this was a kind gesture. Bottomless mimosas is available but it is $ 16 per person with a 1 and ½ hour time limit. This time limit was actually enforced for us. I was able to get 5 glasses. Different flavors are available(orange, passion fruit, pomegranate, and peach), and I was able to try all the flavors. I ordered the pork belly benedict. The pork belly slices were decent-sized but were a little bit overcooked. My dish also came with fried potatoes but they were severely overcooked as well. Tasted very dry and hard. Did not care much for the salad, which was just arangula leaves.

An excellent place for brunch if you don’t care how many drinks you have before noon. The restaurant is not too big, but it has great natural light and a relaxed ambiance. So for a party of two we sat at the bar which was quite nice. From the food I only had the falafel and it was really good. The portion was not big but when you have two or maybe eleven mimosas there is only so much space for food. Be prepared for the super friendly bartender that is «the glass should always be full» kind of guy.

My Favorite modern Mediterranean joint in the city. I always knew the place has great food and atmosphere for Sunday brunch. But dinner was on a different level. Brazed lamb shank, seafood paella, special chicken dish all excellent. And don’t forget the halva desert is heavenly.

Met up with Bahr for an amazing Dinner tasting menu: Mezetto Trio, Falafel Buns, Beet & Goat Cheese Salad, Grilled Shrimp Saganaki, Charred Octopus, and the finale: TRUFFLEDGNOCCHI! We topped the night off with Methos Lager and Specialty Cocktails, and the Baklava Doughnuts . Also, the décor, music, and overall ambience were hip, and relaxed. The service was top notch and everyone was very attentive. I look forward to returning on my next trip from Vegas.

This place is great for boozy brunch if you’re more concerned with the booze than the brunch part. Normally, I prefer getting a table rather than sitting at the bar. But if your group is small, you should sit at the bar, especially if you’re doing bottomless brunch. The bartender’s service was amazing. He was constantly refilling our glasses and there are a couple of «special» flavors that he’ll only serve to the customers eating the bar. The entrée itself was mediocre. I picked the Chorizo Shakshuka skillet. It lacked flavor and there was so much sauce. Also, the dish came out warm and got cold really quickly. I wanted to make sure that I paced myself because I wanted to be eating while drinking, but I found that the longer I took to eat this dish, the more I didn’t want to eat it.

I actually walk past this place almost every day and it took a year of living at my current apartment to actually walk in. I will admit I was judgey because of the«bottomless brunch» sign out front on the weekends. For a foodie sometimes that offering is a restaurant’s kiss of death. I decided to be open minded and took a friend who loves Mediterranean food. We did not opt for the bottomless brunch but I was actually quite surprised by the food. I had the duck confit skillet. The duck was tender on the inside with a crunchy skin. Same was true for the potatoes. The egg was cooked to perfection. It could’ve used a little more of the balsamic glaze because that was yummy. I was really quite pleasantly surprised! The cons of this place? The people that are really there just for boozy brunch. It tended to be very loud with a lot of drunkards(no judgement here as I am usually one, just nursing a bad hangover this particular morning). If you’re looking to have a laid back brunch with good conversation, head to another spot. Boozy brunch with good food with a group of friends? This one is a winner.

The worst thing is that the environment sucks… It’s a very small restaurant, with the windows open up directly to the street where the city is doing constriction and the other side is the subway station. It’s super hot and there are only a couple ceiling fans in the restaurant. We sit by the window so ppl on the street who sneeze would ruin the meal… The server was nice, even when it’s a busy Sat brunch period. And the food is very decent as well. I liked my grilled shrimps(see pic). It is super super loud especially for brunch when most gsts r a little tipsy, I can hardly hear our own conversation. It’s a bit pricy as well considering the environment isn’t the best, one entrée+ one drink comes to $ 35… Probably not go again.

Bottomless mimosas, which we later changed up with bottomless sangrias for brunch?! Absolutely in love. Not very many bottomless drink brunch places for weekdays(at least not one that looks this cute). The restaurant’s on the small side but the décor and lovely atmosphere makes any bad look good here. The neighborhood is constantly under construction, so having all the windows open would make you second guess whether a swiffer always needs to be handy — well? I didn’t really find any dust in there! Anddd their huge windows are open all day it seems. Impressive! Chase who served us the drinks while we nibbled on our food was an absolute pleasure. He was so kind and was very helpful in choosing food off the menu. The F train is literally right in front of its doors, too. The details of the bottomless deals are in the pictures ;) I had a couple hours to kill in the morning/early afternoon — we ended up staying here for around 3 hours! I felt so comfortable being here. The food is also amazing — I wasn’t too hungry since I ate a rather large breakfast before coming in, but my SO was chomping down on his watermelon watercress salad and the grilled asparagus dish that I ordered like it was nobody’s business! Definitely a gem in the neighborhood and I’ll be back for more!

FINALLYYY. a place in the city that does boozy brunch on the weekdays! I’ve been dying to do boozy brunch for a while and decided to hit up Mezetto as my first stop! We stopped by on Thursday around 1 pm and there was no wait! I got the Pork Eggs Benedict which has a crispy pork belly & is topped with scallion yogurt sauce($ 15) and my friend got the Mushroom Omelette which has portobello & shitake mushroom($ 14). Both were paired with homefries! The eggs benedict was really good! The omelette is standard, nothing to special in my opinion! I would recommend the eggs benedict over it. The bottomless mimosas were $ 16 and definitely worth it! Our glasses were never empty for more than 2 minutes as the bartender was always attentive and refilled our drinks quick! He even made an off the menu mimosa for us at the end and they were delicious! The limit for the bottomless mimosas is 1.5 hours but we were definitely there for almost 2 hours and yet they still kept refilling our glasses! Definitely would recommend going to this place for a fun tipsy buzz! Will definitely go back for the bottomless mimosas ^__^

3.5 to be exact. Mezetto is quite a busy weekend brunch spot. A very small, corner restaurant where seating is limited but popular with locals. Reservations are recommended. Falafel Buns made a deep impression on me. Our party consist of me, the falafel fan and others, non-falafel fans. A fairly large homemade falafel placed right in between a white bun. Falafel was deep fried and crispy in texture. The falafel bun is finished off with a sauce topped with minced bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. I enjoy the bites of savory crunchiness on the outside and softness on the inside of the falafel. The bun added a bit of sweetness and the sauce had a tiny spicy kick to it. I felt that the little elements from each ingredient complimented each other very well. Pork Belly Eggs Benedict is a fairly unique variety of eggs benedict. Not too many places offer this and this is the main reason we came to Mezetto for. An English muffin holding up a slice of crispy pork belly, poached egg, and topped with a scallion yogurt sauce as well as a sprinkle of red spice seasoning. It came with a side home potatoes. I am very disappointed to report that I did not enjoy this dish at all. Everything was extremely dry and hard for me to cut anything apart. Poached eggs were overcooked for they were no longer runny on the inside. My party members who had ordered the same dish, only one poached egg out of everyone was even considered runny. I wouldn’t get this next time. Shawarma Hash(a.k.a. Steak & Eggs) made a grand entrance. I love the hot skillet that it came with. Home fries and feta cheese holds up a hanger steak topped with a crispy sunnyside-up egg. The hanger steak was actually really good. It was very well marinated and each bite was bursting with flavor. The tasty sunnyside-up egg in this dish was also beautiful to look. Potatoes were plain in flavor but their homemade hot sauce saves the day. Overall, my experience was really just okay. Given the great amount of Unilocal love Mezetto received, perhaps it was an off day. Before I come back for the mimosas, three and a half stars will do for now.
