Mel is a 5 foot tall 55+ year old man who really does a great job shining shoes. For $ 3, one really cannot go wrong. He’s super friendly and is extremely hard working.
I work in this area and I even see him on weekends sometimes! I hope the people at Morgan Stanley are reading this — this place is across the street from you!

Go see Mel’s. Friendliest guy in the world, $ 3 + tip (make sure you tip!) shine. Does a great job, can almost see my self in my shoes. Nothing like sitting outside on 7th Ave, getting a shine, watching NYC go by.
