This place is like Calypso but better! Their sale is better, prices are great & customer service is excellent! They have the same quality of items at better prices, without the attitude!

Highest quality boho chic clothing and jewelry and bags. I bought a kaftan there that is so simple and beautifully embroidered. The staff are particularly lovely and welcoming. Endless colors to choose from and sizes. Great go to boutique for unique gifts.

Although a little pricey, I love the items in the store. Very unique. I have bought quite a few of the hand printed scarves that they carry as gifts and they are a BIG HIT! I have read the below reviews and I am very surprised. I have always had a great experience and found the sales people very helpful. The clothing is displayed along one side of the store with handbags and scarves and house wares along the shelves on the other side.
I enjoy interesting textile design and this store has a great selection of high quality items.

The other day I went into matta right as they were closing (although I didn’t realize it) and the staff wasn’t particularly helpful or friendly. Today I went in again to revisit some items I didn’t have a chance to try on and the saleswoman was lovely and entirely helpful. I’m glad I went back and tried again!

Small collection of clothing, very small collection of items for children, and a smattering of rugs completes the homeware section. Most of the focus seems to be on scarves and jewelry, all of which are just lovely. The clothing has a lot of shapes that are surprisingly dated (dresses with little stringy ties around the waist) and unflattering (knit tops with gathers at the bustline and flares downward, aka the «are you pregnant?» look).
The salespeople are quite rude. As I walked into the store there was nobody in the front, but after a moment a saleslady came out, made eye contact with me, and instead of returning my small smile she just turned away. Now, I do not like a lot of chitchat with salespeople, I prefer to shop with my real friends. However not being greeted when entering is odd, and having a salesperson ignore a smile and simply turn away is upsetting.
Bottom line: some very nice accessories, but nothing so unique as to make up for their terrible service.
