This past weekend, my girlfriends and I(from LA, CA) came in for dinner to kick start our bachelorette weekend! We randomly walked into this place and loved every minute of it! The staff was amazing and friendly and totally went above and beyond with everything! Chiro, Vito and Gulio made our night special! And who could forget Salvatore?! I totally recommend this place and would love to make it back one day!

I was randomly walking down the street from a bar on Mulberry street and I was hungry for pizza, I came across this place and I was starring in the window and a young man(who works there) sees me and comes outside and asked me if I wanted help. I was interested in buying slices he said they only make 12″ pies and it will be the best pizza in NY. I was like ok let me take a risk. So i ordered, he said it would be done in 5 minutes– and they weren’t kidding! I sat down for 5 minutes only and it was fresh and steaming hot. I didn’t realize it at first, but when I ordered their traditional margherita pie it included buffalo mozzarella. It’s so hard to find that in NY! When I took a bite, it tasted exactly like Gusto’s heart shaped pizza from Florence, Italy! I Was beyond impressed and overwhelming satisfied and happy. If you want w real taste of Italy pizza, this is the place to go! Right next to Ferrara’s Bakery

Came to Margherita by referral of the owner’s brother who we had met in California. Initially wanted to have a light snack or pizza before our next spot. But left with full experience of Italian taste. We were greeted cordially by the owner,… Sat at the bar, ordered one of the pizzas from the menu, which was ready within 5 – 7 minutes. taking in consideration that it was made from scratch for us. Big oven was custom made like everything else in Margherita which adds to the charm of it. I tried sparkling lemon drink«Lemonata», exported from Italy. Super good! We also been offered authentic Italian style coffee made for us by the«Ferrari of coffee machines». Couldn’t resist home made Tiramisu. Extremely happy with our find. Will try to come back next time we are on the East coast.

I was waking around on a cold night with my daughter, and took a chance on this place based on the good reviews. Awesome pizza! The Contadina pizza was wonderful, and my daughter loved the Margarita. Great service and atmosphere.

This place is AMAZING!!! Their food was so authentically Italian and you get the full Italian experience when you come here! Sal, Ciro, Vito, Gulio, and Juan(Nutella) made our bachelorette party so special for our first night in NYC! They even made a special«themed» Nutella pizza for us and threw an incredible dance party. If you’re looking for amazing food and a great time I HIGHLY recommend this place. Honesty the food was to die for!

Simply delicious food, try the bolognese sauce on whatever because it’s simply to die for. The best I’ve ever had hands down. On top of that, our waiter, Giulio, was very helpful, kind, and knowable of the food to what he wanted. He recommended our meals and we were more than happy. Too bad I’m not a local here because this would be no doubt my regular Italian spot.

After putting our name down for Pellegrinos and getting rude service, we walked down the street and found this cute(tiny) place! We walked in and were seated right away. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Very Italian! Got taken care of in a timely manner. Had great recommendations from locals. Everyone in our group ordered from a different section of the menu and each meal blew us away! The calzone is very large and flavorful in every bite. The pizza was cheesy and doughy all in one. The pasta was Pesto’d to perfection, and the eggplant was just as tasty. Couldn’t go wrong! When I ordered a cappuccino last second, the waiter forgot to add it to our bill and gifted it instead.(The money was added to his well deserved tip) Overall super great experience!

Quaint pizza restaurant. Absolutely loved our experience there. Got a reservation and they honored the time when we arrived. Found this place based on Unilocal reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The owner was extremely friendly and the pizza and calzones didn’t disappoint. Ambiance is cozy and the music on Monday night was great without interrupting our conversations. Prices were reasonable and food quality was excellent. Pizza is coal fired style and not the traditional gooey NY style. I love both styles but if traditional pizza is what you’re looking for this isn’t here. It’s a casual and fun atmosphere. I will definitely come back on my next visit.

We were lucky to find Margherita NYC. Everywhere was super busy with lots of parties gearing up for the new year celebrations. We had tried to get into one of the ‘must go’ old style pizza places but the waiting time was ridiculous and off putting. So we walked a block or two and found this small, friendly pizza joint. We had to wait a couple of minutes to have tables rearranged and then we were seated. Close to the action near the wood fired oven but still comfortable and able to hold a conversation… a great feature when compared to some of the noisy venues we’ve visited. The food was great. A sizeable pizza each with crusty dough and tasty mozzarella topping. The salad was also spot on with a tasty, rich balsamic dressing. My companions drank draft IPA/wheat beer and I loved my fruity, warming Italian red wine. Service was super friendly and relaxed… meaning we felt relaxed too. All round, a great find in a city full of choices.

I’m sorry but this place needs serious improvement. It’s a hipster joint. I think you put a lot of effort in being cool but neglected the customer experience. It’s nice that you’re friendly but we are paying customers, and to me that respect was lost(when you reached over to grab the olive oil and balsamic vinegar while I was eating). I’m hoping you would improve, because I would like a neighborhood Italian place I can frequent. The bad news: The door… does not close properly. It’s the first thing that a customer would notice… Kind of makes me think, sloppy… The hostess… was eating pizza from next to the oven, while walking around. She was clearly wandering and standing in awkward places like right next to me while I ate my pizza. Pretty girl but I want to look at and enjoy my pizza, not her cute derrière in my face while she’s chatting up the people at the bar counter or flirting with her boyfriend who was also dining. To me it wasn’t clear if she was working or not. She sat down and was talking to him at his table several times.(I’m sorry I sound like a hate but it just comes across as unprofessional. One is left to think, what else is in the restaurant is unprofessional?) My server… I don’t know why he went to take the other party’s order who came later than me after chatting to them in Italian. Clearly left me hanging for a good 15 min and I was by myself… And of course my pizza stays out and cools while he’s just hanging out. I’m dining in because I want fresh hot pizza… I would’ve taken it out and reheated it myself… Worst part was when I asked for my pizza to go… You can’t just use your hands and throw my pizza in a box. The good: The décor… Beautiful restaurant. Great atmosphere. Clearly a lot has gone into designing the place. The pizza… I thought it was good. Nice crust, nice flavor, and no crazy toppings to over complicate things.

We decided to come here based on some other Unilocal reviews. They were spot on! The pizzas were super flavorful and tasted so fresh! The pasta was cooked like I was in Italy. The Tiramisu was the best I have EVER had, it was a perfect combo with their iced coffee. The iced coffee was bold, flavorful, and SUPER strong. The service was so personal and very attentive. We felt very welcomed. This IS the best Italian place in NYC! A must eat!

Great authentic Italian restaurant, not like the tourist traps on Mott and Mulberry Street. The Pizza we had was good, but not better than many other great places in New York City. The toppings are good as well but the choices limited. The pies came out of the oven slightly undercooked and were not crispy at all. The beer was served too warm in a water glass. Service was below average — I guess that is why a 18% service was included in the check right away. Would I come back? Yes, I definitely will give it another try.

It’s fairly new in Little Italy, but this place is fantastic! Small and rustic with great service. Excellent pasta, spritz, and the best tiramisu I’ve ever had.

First time to NYC and we were hesitant to head down to Little Italy from how far north we were staying. We did, and it was amazing! The service was great, the embiance was really cool, and the food was frickin fantastic! Imagine a good looking Italian hipster guy comes over and takes your order and while you’re sitting there, you realize the walls all around are brick, making the place super cozy while the pizza oven warms the room as you’re sipping on your prosecco or beer. Then your food gets to the table, and it’s amazing! We had the special pasta of the day. The pizza was great, but that pasta was the best pasta that I’ve ever tasted! I wish that I knew the name. You’ll have to ask him Anyway, we were glad to have found this gem!

Awesome spot! Antipasto is amazing with toasts covered in olive oil and peppers and grilled to perfection alongside a hearty portion of charcuterie, arugula frisked with balsamic, olives, and classic Italian cheese. Every bite had me coming back for more. The pizza was pretty much exactly what My wife and I remember from Italy. Amazing crust, the perfect amount of toppings, and smokey delicious flavor throughout. Our server Stephano informed us that most of the ingredients are all imported from Italy which is what makes the difference. The wine was good, albeit a little limited on selection. Overall a great experience, nice atmosphere and delicious food.

At first we were hesitant to visit this relatively new place(6 weeks old) with 8 reviews. But then we thought we would just give it a try. And we are so glad we did! From start to finish, this authentic Italian pizza restaurant was delightful: Handsome and friendly Luigi, from Napoli, welcomed us to a lovely table just inside the open door and windows. As the staff chatted with each other in Italian, we could hear that everybody was from Italy.(Unlike most of the usual mediocre ‘Italian’ restaurants in Little Italy) We ordered a margherita pizza and a calzone. Both were generously sized and very delicious. Surely only the highest quality ingredients were used. Luigi provided excellent service throughout our meal. We will definitely be back to this lovely place!

This place is right off the beat and path of mulberry street but trust me you won’t want to miss this place. My friend brought me here on a Sunday afternoon and I do believe they were offering a lunch special but he ordered for us anyway(i love when a man knows what I want). We had the anti pasta plate with pancetta prosciutto and mozzarella and tomato drizzled with EVOO and balsamic vinaigrette, side note: My friend say that in Napoli If the chef were to put balsamic vinegar on the mozzarella he would have been fired(he hates balsamic) but besides that little fun fact it was fresh and soft and I loved the drizzled balsamic. We then shared the calzone fritta which was so warm and gooey ahhhh !!! Molto bene ! Will deff try to catch a Seat at the bar next time, some good looking men at this establishment ;)

On my way to Ferrara’s, but I spot a diamond in the road called Margherita. It’s calling to me, like a sexy siren… pizza. Pizza. Pizza. Even though I just ate, this spot makes me hungry for more. Margherita truly fills me up, from the enchanting Giuseppi and Giulio to the beautiful za oven and then on to the star of the show… the Quattro Staggione. Absolutely za-mazing napolitano style pizza with all natural ingredients originating from different regions of Italy. This establishment is truly a work of art and well deserving of the 5 stars, from the attentive service to the delicious pizzas, fresh ensalatas, calzones and wines. Having lived in this hood for over ten years, I’ve definitely seen places come and go. This place is going to be a pizza institution. It’s truly that amazing. Now let’s eat! Mangia!
