I love Mardana! We make a point to go there on every trip to NYC. It’s a given. If you like unique clothing you won’t see lots of other guys wearing, Mardana is the place for you. The selections are trendy, but stylish at the same time. I’ve bought numerous items over the years and they remain classics and favorites of mine. Whenever I wear something from there, I always manage to get compliments on whatever it is. The prices may be a bit more than a non-shopper wants to pay, but it’s worth every penny. They even manage to always have a varied selection of pants in my size(30). It may be Chelsea’s best kept secret for unique men’s clothing and I’m totally fine with that.(Although I know posting such on Unilocal may defeat the purpose. Oh well.) Long live Mardana!

We visit NYC3 – 4 times a year. We always plan our time to include a visit to Mardana. We are guaranteed to find shirts, pants, etc that we do not find here in Washington, DC. The clothes are good quality. It always seems as if customer service is a number one priority here. We have had pants hemmed and the offer is always made to speed things along if we can get back the next day or as is usually the case, items are shipped within a short period of time. Unique fabrics and unique designs have made this our go to store for clothers with that extra something.

I happened by the place and went in for a look around. While I didn’t purchase anything this trip, I was very impressed. They had their own label(not sure if this is the only store of if I’ve just never noticed the brand before). There were some very unique(in a good way) clothes that seemed to be well made from quality fabrics. The prices were very reasonable… I think it was like $ 69 for a cute long sleeve button up shirt that I don’t think you’ll see anywhere else.

I am addicted to this place! I have been going to Mardana since they were on 7th Ave near Christopher St. I am hooked on their collared short sleeve button shirts. I have 8 or 9 and every time I wear one people compliment their fit and beautiful patterns. One note is that they are very slim cut, which I like, but might run a bit small for some people. When they have end of season close-outs I’ve gotten them as low as $ 29. The staff doesn’t follow you around or push, but they are always within sight and willing to help.

Every time I go to New York, I try to stop in at Mardana. The little boutique has a wide range of men’s styles, and I always find something very particular, very unique. As the editor at Men’s Fashion by Francesco, an online e-mag, I give them a great review.

I have been patronizing this business for a few years now. I come back and forth from Los Angeles to New York and always gravitate back to this fine boutique. First in their previous location up the street, I found a well-tailored, tasteful ambiance with an interesting selection of men’s clothing. Another designer caught my eye: the label read«Mardana». And now, further south, usurping the retail space previously used by the store Jerry’s, I was pleasantly surprised to find an expanded space filled gloriously with an even wider selection of great and fashionable men’s clothing and accessories. I couldn’t wish more space for a more deserving retailer. Perhaps the biggest surprise and joy came from seeing that«Mardana» has continued, expanded and improved upon his fashion line. His cut, fabric selection and fashion sense are truly impressive. I would love to see this boutique featured, even in a modest way, in some of the big fashion/style magazines. And the prices are reasonable with frequent discounts which don’t seem like a scam as other large chains seem to do.

They have some really great mens shirts, I’m almost always able to find one I like, the prices are fair and they make their clothing in the city, in Queen’s or Brooklyn I think. Also i think NycF below is wrong about their customer service. It’s understated and nice. They’ve been in business a long time and I don’t see them going anywhere. It’s a really nice store.

A men’s store with lots of blazers, dress shirts, silk shirts, Italian stuff, more casual shirts, scarves, etc. Some things were very pricey, but other things were more reasonable(and on sale), and if you find something that fits and you like it, it could make the visit worthwhile. Besides the preppy stuff there were also some more wacky-veined things that made the store more interesting…
