Even though I work nearby today was my first time at this Maoz outpost in Central Park(closes Nov. 1 for the season). I was a little put off by the prices, having survived college on Mamoun’s $ 2 falafel, but had a craving so gave it a go. Falafel was very yummy and the half sandwich plus a bag of chips left me feeling satisfied, not stuffed. I liked the variety of toppings and the service was good, very friendly. When they didn’t have hot sauce they got me fresh Pico de Gallo instead, and threw in an extra falafel ball. I didn’t get anything else, but they also have smoothies, juices and vegan rice pudding. Can’t beat the setting either!

Sub-par, but I assume the service would be shitty due how young the employees we’re, odd how a cop got his order correct but mines was screwed up and I was articulate with my order. think I’ll visit The full restaurant next time.

Reasonably priced, reasonable quality food to refresh you after exercising in Central Park. Falafel balls with hummus and a mint lemonade make a great post-workout snack. Thisis the type of snack bar that should be in public parks, not that Sabrett trash.

The service used to be sooooooooooo slow. Like wait 25 minutes for your food slow, but they’ve picked up the pace lately since they hired a third employee. They’ve also greatly simplified their menu from illegible mish-mash to the point where you can comfortably and confidently say, «oh, yes, I would like one falafel on whole wheat, please.» Still, it can take awhile, so if there’s a line, beware, people will be choosing their toppings like it’s the last meal they will ever eat, and hold up the part of society that is still functioning. Oh, you can also get ½ falafel for a slightly less price. Game changggger. Still, it takes forever.

Where else can you grab a falafel, go for a bike ride on a scenic hilly drive, go fishing for bass, listen to world class musicians(or Shakespearean actors), and still be in the middle of a busy city? New York city’s Central Park of course. Maoz has been an institution throughout Europe for many years and I am glad to see them so prominently in Central Park. The falafel is very good and easily satisfied the pickiest or vegetarians(and meat eaters alike). The fries at this location are frozen and refried, but other location make it hand cut fresh. Nevertheless, just have a seat and look around. No other location is just like this!!! Awesome place for all eaters.

This place rocks. Staff are consistently polite, helpful and kind. The food is good, portions generous, and the price can’t be beat. Perfect to grab a snack and walk around the park with, or just sit and enjoy on one of the benches.

Came back on a sunny Sunday afternoon for a falafel sandwich. The sandwich was excellent, although had to wait about 25 minutes for the sandwich to be made after paying the cashier. The stand was not well staffed enough to handle all the people ordering. Food was still delicious though. I definitely plan on coming back. Summary: Surprisingly delicious falafel where they load on fresh veggie toppings. If you go on a weekend be prepared for long slow moving lines.

Very tasty and healthy food place. Falafels are really good here, haven’t tried such a good ones for a while. They also got good selection of juices. I have tried them once in a hot weather, i felt really refreshed on that day. Staff is super good, they are friendly, and they are beyond fast in their job.

Awesome joint. Just be aware that they close during inclement weather. Just saying, if it’s a little sketchy out, it may be a gamble to go.

What an amazing stumble upon just inside Central Park in East Harlem. You get a huge amount of delicious food for the buck. The service was friendly, impeccable and fast. I thoroughly enjoyed eating my meal outdoors in the park with all the hustle and bustle just behind me. It was just perfect after a walk through the North Woods.

A Maoz in Central Park, mere steps away from the Conservatory Garden, and no lines during lunch hour? It just doesn’t get any better than this. As others have noted, the map location in the Unilocal app(and on the website) is wrong. The actual location is just inside Central Park at 5th and 106th.

Bottom line: CAN’T BEBEAT for a delicious, flavorful, healthy, inexpensive lunch! I’ve eaten at other maoz locations many times. I was AMAZED and DELIGHTED to see a maoz right inside Central Park!!! My GF and I just ate felafel sandwiches sitting by the lake. It was her 1st time at maoz — I have been telling her about it for a year — and she absolutely loved it. In case you’re having trouble finding it: It’s just north of the entrance of the conservatory garden on approx 106th St just inside Central Park near 5th Ave

The Maoz concession stand is located in Central Park near 5th Ave and 106th St. Although they don’t have a self-serve Maoz salad bar, it’s still quite convenient and tasty(especially the fries).

They don’t have seating? IT’S INCENTRALPARK. Next to the Harlem Meer, with maybe only a scant 10000000 benches in view of some of the world’s loveliest park scenery. I eat here regularly after running the Park and they’re open in March as I write this. Today I got a non-falafel sandwich which the extremely friendly and efficient guy running the joint FILLED with seven different fillings: hummus, beet salad, baba ghanoush, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, some kind of delicious slaw, pickled carrots, green olives, god I can’t remember it all. Oh yeah, I don’t even like falafel but their falafel is pretty damn good. SIXDOLLARSANDFIFTYCENTS. AND he filled with garlic tahini as he went so the sandwich was wonderfully moist. It’s housed in the delightful old Knish Knosh hobbit house that’s an only-in-New-York experience. Order from the friendly staff ensconced inside their down-the-rabbit-hole little brick cottage, pay almost nothing for your gargantuan sandwich or salad, grab a fresh-squeezed juice, sit down and revel in the flowers, the water, the ducks on the water, the approximately 15k languages you will hear as you eat, and thank whatever deities or forces, if any exist, that run this damn universe that you are here.

The Moaz stand is a nice oasis during a walk through the Central Park’s Harlem Meer and Conservatory Garden. The felafel is tasty, their homemade lemonade is refreshing, and there is a pretty nice selection of «fillings» for your pita(not always consistent though). The service is hit or miss as far as friendliness and attentiveness and it’s always a bit slow. They conveniently accept credit cards. They don’t have seating, but there are plenty of benches that can you sit at to watch the Harlem Meer while enjoying your food. According to the worker they are closed during the cold weather seasons.
