The guys do a great job keeping the walls fresh. The newest art on the inside wall is quite impressive. It actually makes the school look a lot better especially with the brand new outside gym that was constructed.

I was perfectly fine with admiring the work here from the street, so the fact that it was dark and ‘closed’ didn’t impact my experience. Having watched it once and turned it off immediately, I had completely forgotten about the BET show, but just now I am realizing why 106&Park sounded so familiar when I approached the corner.

Hall of fame? When I think of graffiti I think of subway cars in the 70’s, the tag Ajax, the Bronx, what I see here? Not sure about that, but it has some cool stuff up.

Free & open to the public when school isnt in session. Usually closes by 5ish depending on the mood of the security guards on duty. Wheelchair/Stroller accessible. No bike riding allowed(you can bring it in but you gotta park it). Picture taking allowed. The address listed is wrong. The graffiti hall of fame is in the courtyard/playground of Jackie Robinson School which is located at 1587 Madison Avenue, New York, NY10029 in East Harlem. The GHofF is situated right at the corner of East 106th Street & Park Ave.

The address on this thing is super wrong. 106 and Park is Harlem, not Murray Hill. Anyway, The art was great and everything, def a site to see, but small! and half of it is in a school yard, so it’s closed off and you can’t even really see it. Everyone says to go check this place out. but really, i suggest only doing it if you’re in the area.

This place has been around for nearly three decades. Amazing artwork by some of the world’s best artists.
