My friends and I have been frequenting this place for many years, even when it was formerly called «Mug Bar». The music is on point and the bartenders and owner (Michael) are awesome. If you have a fairly sizable group, you can always head here for guaranteed space and a good time. I also like that the bar area and the dance floor are separate but connected. As others have mentioned, it never really gets crowded, which I don’t really understand, but hey, I’ll roll with it. If you haven’t checked it out, definitely do, and you’ll see what all the hype is about for yourself!

Celebrated my friend’s birthday here and we had a great time! Love this bar! Atmosphere is pretty cool, the lounge area is really spacious, and the drinks were good.
The staff is really fun and the owner is a great guy! I’ll def be back.

I’m amazed that this place only has 4 reviews yet has been around for many years now. I hope they continue to get just enough people coming here to pay the bills but not enough to make it a popular destination. I originally came to the neighborhood for KeyBar (a couple doors down) but as that place was completely packed I kept walking until I found this place. The front room is a fairly small bar with a juke box. Prices are amazing, Bud Light drafts are $ 3 and cocktails are $ 4 from 3−11pm during the week. Who has happy hour until 11pm? These guys is who. If you’re not up for those options, everything else is inexpensive as well.
The part that makes this a 5 star worthy bar is that their giant back room is a lounge. Sure the décor is non existent and the furniture isn’t much to speak about but none the less it’s a huge room full of couches that was completely empty on a Friday night. A friend of a friend wanted a birthday party and didn’t know where to go on short notice on a Friday night and still have room for about 20 people, MWhite Bar and Lounge ended up being a godsend.

This is a pretty cool, rather inconspicuous bar about five or six blocks away from Union Square. With friendly bartenders, large, comfy sofas and stools, and relatively clean bathrooms, this place has a lot to recommend it. Its most admirable feature though, is the fact that you can have a conversation with your friends, which is a rarity for a Manhattan bar. Even though I didn’t have a chance to sample any of the drinks, I heartily recommend White Bar for the average Unilocaler looking to escape from the madness of the New York social scene.

M White has a huge (for EV) lounge area, but it’s almost always completely empty. Empty in the sense there will be a 40 person line across the street at Phoenix, but M White will have 3 people in the entire space.
Bartenders are friendly, but lack of drink specials, and awkwardly empty space keeps this at 3 stars.

If you are looking for a great spacious centrally located lounge/​bar where you can either meet a large group of friends, have a meet-​up or an event, or even meet an online date, then M White Bar is the place for you!
I have organized many meetups here, both at the bar area in the front and in the larger area and my guests all loved this place. Michael, the owner, is fantastic as well as his staff, like Maya to name a few. M White has decent happy hour specials and they even have theme liked drinks and specials like the Jamaican.
So for your next meetup, have it here. For your next online date, come here and maybe even take them to the nookie corner in the front (though there are no curtains so if you do nookie, you will be providing free entertainment to passerbys). I have passed by many times and saw this happen so it is a fact!

SERENA and Michael are the best! Especially Serena. Drinks are legit. Great DJ on Fridays playing the best jams. Tuesday is happy hour all night (maybe other nights too?! Idk.) so $ 2 rolling rock and $ 4 wells and all that sexy jazz.
