Açaí bowls are becoming popular in US but most places don’t know how to make a traditional and original Açaí bowl the same way we make them in Brazil. Açaí bowls are supposed to be SIMPLE. Instructions: –Açaí — Sliced bananas and granola on top. Is it really difficult? Liquiteria is the only place in NY that offers a good açaí bowl.

Ordered a mean green it could’ve been more green tasted like pure pineapples. If i’m paying $ 9 for a smoothie it should at least be healthy and green not filled with excess sugar. At least three women behind the register shooting the breeze while there is a line of people waiting on their drinks.

As a native Texan, I find the name«Liquiteria» foreign but amusing. The location was easy enough to find and the store was decently sized. You order at front of the menu, or they have a small display case with some pre made juices and snacks up for grabs. I opted for the 100% watermelon juice which cost me about $ 7, yikes for a Texan, but pretty standard for a bottle of 100% watermelon juice in NY as I learned. The juice tastes fresh and I downed it in less than a minute. There are some stools with a high top bar lined around the side of the shop that are perfect for people watching. Great juice shop, large store, good place to stop by for a quick drink and snack.

So good! Quick service and good quality ingredients. I like that they are flexible when ordering like when I wasn’t charged extra for more granola and almond butter and less banana.

This is the worst delivery experience I’ve ever had — I ordered a simple soup, acai bowl and smoothie — it took them more than 2HOURS to delivery. I kept calling them and they were telling me about the rain and that the delivery will be momentary. Somehow every other restaurant can deliver within normal hours. ANd they charge for delivery too. By the time my food got to me, the soup was mildly warm and the food itself was nothing special STAYAWAY from ordering delivery from these guys.

A slug crawled out of my chia pudding!!! I am so disgusted. Liquiteria and I are over! I tried taking a photo but it was so gross I could hardly look at it. Really expect better quality from a $ 6 chia pudding.

I had the mean green acai bowl and it was so good! I had never had an acai bowl before and expected it to be a bit more bitter, but it was great. That probably means there’s a lot of added sugar but it still seemed pretty healthy. Great place to grab a quick breakfast to-go.

Wow– this is an expensive smoothie but yet it still earns 5 stars. The quality and ingredients used are top quality and the result is a fantastic smoothie that is more of a high quality meal replacement that is full of flavors. I had the coffee/chocolate version that was not only healthy(based on ingredients) but full of flavor. The staff is very welcoming, the environment is clean, modern and upbeat. All in all a wonderful company and store.

LOVE Liquiteria! They have the best wheatgrass from Perfect Foods! It is such a clean, delicious and affordable juice bar. One of my favorites!

I really like Liquiteria. It’s a juice bar in NYC, so yea it’s pricey, but no more so really than other juice bars, and it’s good. When it’s nice out, and I have no plans on the weekend, I like to citibike over, get a smoothie and then walk over to Union Sq and look around the farmers market #weekendgoals I haven’t really had much of their food, but all the smoothies and juices I’ve had are great. I actually really like their seasonal smoothies like the apple crisp in the fall and during my last stop in I got the cranberry acai. I don’t like bananas, which like almost every smoothie has, but they are fine with leaving it out, or substituting it, and once when they forgot to not include it they made me a new one no problem. Customer service has been fine for me, and usually the person taking the order is friendly enough. I’m not someone who needs to make small talk. Overall I don’t mind spending the money for a smoothie every once in awhile. I feel healthy doing it, and it’s much more convenient than me having to make my own!

Service has hit rock bottom here. Now having waited 7 minutes while the four women have been shooting the breeze about anything other than work for them to *start* my order I realize that quality has declined since expansion and i can’t justify a $ 7.62 drink when no one really seems to give a damn about the lone customer waiting. …and waiting… and waiting..

I know it’s just juice and it is expensive — but its SO good. I prefer Liquiteria over all the other juice bars in the city. I like that the staff is super helpful(and not judgmental or trying to hurry you). I really like the seasonal smoothie — Apple Crisp, but their pre-made stuff is bomb too. When I’m super healthy I get the green one with apple — which is surprisingly delicious. I feel so healthy after consuming a beverage here!

I’ve always walked by this place, but have never had the opportunity to try their products until more recently. I’ve had their parfait acai bowl and I have yet to be disappointed. The ingredients are fresh and the combination of fruits and blended acai is the perfect way to start the day or refuel in the afternoon! I’m always surprised at how full the acai parfait keeps me and will definitely be back to try more of their products. Additionally, the establishment is kept extremely clean and the service is always super friendly! It’s a bit pricey, but worth it when I want to splurge a bit!

Got the Hangover cure and the Mean green. Hangover cure was ok, but the Mean green is amazing !!! I would recommend this one. Got it twice already. You can’t really taste the kale. The taste of the pineapple overpowers the kale and spinach. Only con is that it’s a bit pricey… $ 8 for a smoothie. I don’t mind splurging once in a while though.

Ahh! Juice heaven. I got the Thai coconut, the watermelon, the all greens along with a hangover smoothie and oh man everything was divine. The smoothie was a lot tastier than I thought it would be. I also got a slice of zucchini bread and someone in my party got the acai bowl(which they loved) I thought it was expensive but not over the top like juice press prices. I think I paid anywhere from 7 – 9 dollars a juice and around the same for the smoothie, not bad.

Explotive, pretentious, scheming — are words that come to mind when thinking about describing this place. For instance, the menu and ingredients are vast with a TINY fine print that states«organic when available». You would think that at least the«dirty dozen» produce would be organic… you would be wrong. Apples? conventional… Berries? conventional… greens? conventional… So I ordered something with those ingredients and I watch the dude(with his back turned to the consumers of course) put in about 1⁄3 of an apple, a tiny scoop of berries, a small handful of kale into the juicer to get about 2 ounces of greens. What comes next? A cheap(non-organically grown) celery. Stalk after stalk fills the juicer and the cup — filler nonsense that you pay 7 – 10 bucks for. When people paint the natural and organic foods movement as one only for the privileged elite — they are sadly, often correct. This place is as obnoxious as its owner(who I looked up after the fact) and thinks they are the holy grail of juices and smoothies(which aren’t any better Alexandra’s review below stated with regards to the carrageenan filled Almond Breeze). Other non-organic fillers used for juices were carrots(my friend got something with almost all carrot — read: sugar) so what exactly am I paying for? The name and helping to line someone’s pockets. Avoid like the plague :)

I’ve had the mean green($ 8) here many times now and I can’t get enough! It’s so tasty! The food is completely overpriced($ 4 muffin and it’s the size of ½ a muffin) The service is great and fast! In and out in 3 – 4 minutes! The smoothies are filling since they are mostly fruits and veggies so they make a great mid-day snack!

Me: Hi, is the almond milk you use raw? Employee: What do you mean? Me: Is it made with just water and nut pulp put through a strainer or is it processed commercial almond milk? Employee: It isn’t processed at all. I pay, walk over to where it is being made. Watch the hyper processed unhealthful Almond Breeze get poured into my smoothie. Based on a company representative 1.) having no idea what raw nut milk is and 2.) giving me incorrect information on a crucial component within their product, I have to rate this place negatively. If you are using Almond Breeze and profiling yourself as a clean food proprietor, you are either ignorant or purposefully marketing an image that misrepresents your stated mission and products. Which would actually be fine if your products tasted great. I like fake healthy drinks as much as the next person. But the Berry Powerful I got is insipid and tastes like a Flinstone vitamin.

Some people complain about the prices but honestly, it’s juice. And produce is always more expensive on the east coast. The juice was refreshing, but it’s hard to get juice wrong. I wish the acai bowls were larger because it’s difficult to mix the ingredients in such a small cup.

UGH! I’ve been coming here for a while, and it is usually good, but my last few experiences have been HORRIBLE! Today when I went in, I ordered a PB Acai Bowl with bananas on top and no granola(my go-to order!). I came at a not-so-busy time; there were only about 7 other customers in the shop. Well, after waiting twenty minutes and watching at least four other people pick up acai bowls who came in after me, I finally spoke up. Coincidentally, there was another lady who had been waiting for a smoothie just as long as me, and she spoke up right after me as well. Well, the lady making the acai bowls scrambled around for a couple of minutes trying to locate my ticket– seemingly unwilling to admit that she made a mistake. After a few disgruntled sighs, she finally conceded and started making my bowl. She handed me the bag, no apologies, and when I got home to eat it there was no peanut butter or banana– just the acai with no toppings. So frustrating! I’ve never been treated this rudely here before, and on top of that they couldn’t even get my order right after making me wait for so long! If I’m going to spend 9 bucks on some frozen fruit, I at least expect good service and good quality, but I received neither!

*** Healthy, Quality Drinks, Delicious *** Liquiteria is a great post-workout place to visit if you’re craving a smoothie or juice. It also is a huge plus that they give you reusable mini tote bags. I’m always impressed by the quality of their drinks. Although it’s costly, it’s worth the money.

After an intense gym session, I was craving a smoothie. Decided to check this place out and boy was I pleased! I ordered the Mean Green(kale, spinach, mango, banana pineapple) and it was amazinggg! At first I was taken by surprise because it was a bit sour due to the pineapple juice, but as I drank more the natural flavors and sweetness of the fruits became more apparent. My bf ordered the Berry Powerful(berries, banana, vanilla almond milk, whey protein, flax seeds) and it was also insanely delicious. These smoothies were so delectable, hard to believe they’re good for you! They also serve juices, acai bowls, salads, soup, and other healthy goodies. A bit pricey, about $ 8 – 9 for a smoothies(without boosters) but the quality is superb and the drinks are huge! There is limited seating available, only a couple of tall stools and tables, but it is only a juice bar after all.

I think I’m in L.O.V.E. Yummiest smoothy/juice spot I have EEEEEVEEEER been to. The workers are SODARNCUTEANDFRIENDLY. They won over my heart, followed by my stomach. I had the MEAN green, SOSWEETANDMYTONGUEWASALLTINGLYFROMTHEPINEAPPLES(bromelain literally eats your tongue. sexy). You cannot taste the kale at all(+1). My friend got the Berry machine and added coconut butter — he couldn’t stop moaning and groaning while sipping on it. Yup… that good. I just wish there were more locations outside of the City. The juice is very filling and so so so good for you. There are times I want to just hop on the L train JUSTTOGOHERE. Next time I definitely will try the ‘POWERPIÑACOLADA’ — sounds magically delish.

Went with a friend and got mean green & hangover cure. I loved the mean green & hangover cure was pretty good too. They’re pretty big in my opinion, although it is like 7 – 9 dollars each. I went to juice press today and a tiny little cup is like 10 bucks. Doesn’t taste as good either. I’ll take liquiteria over juice press anyday. If you’re into really raw, healthy tasting drinks, go for juice press. I’ll pass though. The workers here are really outgoing and friendly. Wish there was more seating and stayed open later than 8PM though.

The best Acai Bowls in NYC. The best. I don’t even want to write any more, though the cold pressed juice is awesome. However, for all that is holy please just come here and try the Mean Green Acai Bowl. Seriously, I come all the way from the high upper east side to this spot just to get a Mean Green Acai Bowl with Almond Butter on top. If I were a composer I would write entire symphonies about this bowl. If this bowl was a place I would cross thousands of miles of dangerous sea and land just to get to it. It is glory, itself. I stand in line here often with people all around me buying tons of smoothies and juices and shots and I just feel amused. Because man, when I get to the counter I just smile and ask for my bowl and don’t even consider any alternative. I have had acai bowls all over this city, in countless juice shops, and none even hold a candle to the one here. Ah, perfection.
