My coworkers swear by the sandwiches here, which I have never had but I did recently discover the Japanese food counter and have been on a yuzu udon noodle soup kick. It isn’t the best, but they load it up with vegetables and tofu and the broth is tasty. I like having them make it spicy. They have a buffet that looks and smells really good, but I have never tried it. Good cold drink selection though. This place has the worlds most unassuming exterior. Kind of dingy and uninviting. The lighting is poor, especially compared to the deli next door that seems modern and inviting. I didn’t even note the name of this place, it was the green awning unassuming other deli next to Green Tomato to me for about a year until I finally noticed the name. Wish they would clean up the exterior some.

My coworker introduced me to this place and they make the best sandwiches. The service is very good and they never mess up my order. I ordered roast beef both times and they were good both times. This time I got the«God Father» sandwich which is made of hot roast beef on a toasted hero with mozzarella. I substituted in the mayo instead of russian dressing. The sandwich was so warm, crispy, and delicious. I ate the whole meal in 10 minutes and I felt a little guilty afterward. I had to workout twice as hard to burn all the fat that I just ate. They also give you crinkle cut chips and a pickle to round out the meal. They were both perfect additions. This deli has awesome lunch specials plus they don’t tax. It’s a win win combination.

My co-workers and I often come here for the udon soup. It’s not the best udon soup I’ve ever had, but you get a good portion for the price($ 5-$ 8 depending on size, ingredients) and the broth has a good flavor, especially when the spicy seasoning is added. They also have some sushi in there are by the soup… just your standard cheap, pre-packaged sushi… not amazing, not awful, just decent enough to satisfy a mild sushi craving.

They have got my attention with the large variety of lunch specials they offer & their super-low prices. They have a hot & cold buffet featuring Swedish-style meatballs, rice, pasta, meats, wings, etc. It’s all very good and fresh too! A deli area is next to the registers where they have 5 different kinds of chicken salad along with the normal, ham, turkey, cheese and various other cold cuts. Tucked away into the side of this little deli is an Asian food area where I’m particularly fond of their sushi rolls: avocado & salmon, spicy crab roll & this very colorful roll with salmon and tuna. Very fresh and low-priced, I paid $ 4.25 for my spicy crab roll and the fresh sushi runs anywhere from $ 0.50 to $ 0.75 more. Thanks for being another affordable lunch option nearby, Lily!
