Such a fun atmosphere for drinks after work or before a show. I attended a private event here for my company with 50+ attendees and they were very attentive and accommodating. My favorite cocktail was the beat it with egg white and sage. The drinks are a bit pricey but it’s to be expected given the location.

Lillie’s is like wrapping an okay gift in extra fancy, expensive paper to compensate. From the street it looks pretty simple, so simple we overshot it walking to the corner(For reference it is beside the Food Emporium on 49th). The name was not even lighted so when we found the wooden door with the elaborate brass handle we felt like we were in on a secret. You couldn’t even see inside from the street. As soon as we stepped inside we were transported into 19th century Victorian era. The décor was impressive– high ceilings marvelously embellished, multiple chandeliers, ornate picture frames, gold-trimmed plates. We sat near the stained glass displays and beside the repurposed fireplace. The ambience was truly majestic. But it stops there. The food was typical pub fare which are typically hearty(Chicken Pot Pie, Cornish Hen, Roasted Chicken, and Fries) but was just okay and unremarkable except for the steep price. The cocktails were $ 16! Whoa! Clearly the Victorian era is too lavish for me. The servers were very nice and attentive. The music was fun and loud upbeat music. The crowd was hip and all gorgeous. It was unfortunate I could not just munch on all the good-looking people there. Next time I’m not going to eat and just sit there and drink in the scenery.

Love the atmosphere. Such a cute place ! Really brings you back to Victorian times! Great place to come and get a drink after work. Here is very packed on the weekends. The drinks are also a bit pricey. The bartender was a really funny guy, he made it such an enjoyable time ! He made a special drink for me, all I said was make me a girly fruity drink. It tasted so good.

THEBESTPLACEINTHECITY I’ve lived here for years now and I’ve never loved a bar or restaurant as much as this. The food is amazing(the lady pear sandwich is literally the best sandwich I’ve had INMYLIFE), the waiters were so nice(Francesca especially was the politest, friendliest and most forthcoming waitress I’ve had) and the whole aesthetic is just breathtaking. Do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it.

I stopped for a quick drink before the Chicago show and came back after with my friends because of the great service, amazing decoration and tasty cocktais! Ana, our bartender, made our night, she was very knowledgeable, funny and on the top of everything. We had mozzarella caprese, beef sliders, signature burger and delicious mussels which in my opinion is one of the best in the city! Ana said that it’s a live music on Sundays so we definitely gonna come back! Highly recommended!

Drinks are expensive but in my opinion you’re paying for the beautiful location. Once you step inside you would think this place has been here since the Victorian Age. Funny enough, it’s pretty recent. There was an italian restaurant here before and then they added all the victorian era furniture and art. It’s an amazing spot to take a date if you’re in the theater district. Probably best after a broadway show. It wasn’t too crowded around 11pm and they even had live music. Plenty of options for drinks, but as I mentioned at the top everything has that theater district price attached to it. I’d come back!

Brunch: Bloody Mary’s were mundane. I didn’t feel the«additional booze» in my blood stream nor in my palette. So no, not worth the additional $ 3. My poached eggs were overcooked. The pastrami was absent from my Pastrami Hash. My friend got 3 poached eggs and gave me one because she saw me struggling to soak my bread in a dry egg yolk. Watermelon salad was decent. Orange juice was orange juice. Service is ok.

I am in town for business and needed to get lunch before afternoon meetings. I found mixed reviews on Unilocal but thought I would give it a try. The atmosphere is very cool, very Victorian. I sat at the bar and a friendly young man explained the no alcohol before noon on Sunday policy which was fine as I was not drinking. He took my drink order for iced tea. I promptly received my iced tea and the friendly, attentive young man was gone. I was then left to deal with sleepy or dopey as I could not tell if he was high or half asleep. From his conversation with some other patrons at the bar I assume high although he claimed he wish he would have smoked this morning. He was absent for most of my meal which left my glass empty or full of warm used tea with no ice. I was able to track him down and get a separate glass of ice. Not so happy with the service. The Pastrami Hash was ok and had a nice little kick from the hot oil added on top of the poached eggs. The hash would be more accurately described as potatoes with a few specs of Pastrami. Probably my last visit for food but would try a different bar tender for drinks sometime.

classic spot for an after work drink. Décor is nice and beer list is pretty nice. Could be packed sometimes, but it really ain’t too bad. 2 bartenders named Alfredo make the drink ordering much easier

Coming into NYC with no real plan on where we wanted to eat, my daughter and I turned to Unilocal to direct us somewhere that wasn’t full of tourists. Yes, we were tourists, but we don’t like most tourists. So, Unilocal told us about Lillie’s and I’m so glad it did. The décor is eccentric and unique. The Manhattan they served us was the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress was cheerful and fun and the food was insanely good. I would go back to Lillie’s for the drinks and décor alone and I would love to see and try their dinner options. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a place out of the way and void of those sort of tourists.

My friend chose this bar because it was really near the Ambassador Theatre. The place is great! Really Victorian! The wall decorations were amazing. I ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos and loved it! Alexis, one of the wait staff, was really friendly, patiend and helpful. Great experience!

I really like Lillie’s Victorian Bar & Restaurant as a bar, but the food is just lousy! After coming here numerous evenings for drinks(and enjoying myself) I decided to come to lunch here with some girlfriends last weekend and was completely disappointed. I noticed that they have a lunch special that for $ 13 you get a sandwich and beer, which I thought was a pretty good value. However, once I received my food, I thought the value wasn’t even worth it. I ordered the reuben sandwich which was just subpar. I couldn’t even finish the whole sandwich because it was just so low-quality. I do love the ambiance of this place — high ceilings, ceiling to couch picture frames and such, but the food was just awful I would not come back here for more than a beer!

We were walking around looking for a non-chain restaurant where we could have dessert after a Broadway show on a Tuesday night and everything was closing so we were thrilled when we found this funky whacky gem and they welcomed us in. I had Earl Grey panna cotta and my date had an Irish Coffee and bread pudding. Salty prices but a delightful experience.

Bar & bartender were great. Awesome Manhattan, very friendly. We were waiting for a table though, hostess said one hour wait, we waited over an hour, and then she said another 45 minutes. Get your shit straight.

Classic Victorian bar lowly lit, with high ceilings and the walls adorned with beautifully framed paintings. Think of the Sistine Chapel but a bar setting. I visited the place the eve before Thanksgiving, and maybe that’s why, but the venue wasn’t overcrowded which was AMAZING as this place is right by Times Square. The staff and bartenders were attentive, the drinks were great and the food was solid.

The vibe is enough reason to come to this bar. Can’t remember anything specific about the drink or the service, much less the price(I did not pay for it) but this is a lovely place. And yes, this is suitable for a date. Would recommend, would come back.

We were just strolling by and decided to stop in here for a drink or two. The bathrooms, the walls, and walking around is a MUST. our drinks were very tasty. They have a variety of beer options if you like to dabble. As we were sitting around I started to look all around. I felt like I was in Chelsea or W4 at a local antique shop. They have all kinds of old photos of people, antique lamps, chairs, household items. Honestly when we first walked passed it I was look in the window as if I was looking for the next piece to add to my collection. I had to second look to realize it was a bar. Me and my friend went in and sat RIGHT in the front of the goodies in the window. Despite the«old» dusty antiques the place was a gem. I hope you enjoy it one day.

I love coming in here for the atmosphere and ambience and the drinks but the bartender just wasn’t that attentive. I was there with my wife and while we got the initial drink fairly quickly, getting the check and paying the bill took forever. I’d still come back and hope for a different bartender to be serving at that time.

My friends and I came in for brunch this past weekend, and it was pretty empty. I was a bit apprehensive about coming here for brunch considering that most of the reviews were for dinner, but ended up here anyway. First off, the interior design of the restaurant is beautiful! I can see how this place would make for a great evening dinner or pre-dinner cocktail get-together. The brunch menu was nothing special. One of my friends ordered the Irish breakfast and the other ordered the steak and eggs. They were not impressed by their dishes. I ordered the pulled-pork sandwich and substituted home fries for truffle french fries for an additional +$ 4. I paid $ 27(that’s including tax and tip) for a sandwich and an iced-coffee. I have to say that this was not the best sandwich I’ve ever had nor did it come close to it. I didn’t see this dining experience as anything special, and I would not come here again.

Wonderful ! Un superbe bar-restaurant ! Bonne musique, excellent repas, service impeccable déposés dans un décor très original et sympathique… que demander de plus ?! À né pas rater si vous passer près de Times Square !
