I went to levels barbershop on 03.19.16 and was cut by mike… he did a koo job and did all that I asked instead of making his own decisions regarding my hair… I’mma go back when I come back to NY… I’d recommend him… good looking out…

I found Levels Barbershop on Unilocal.I needed a hair cut and did not feel like driving to the end part of Queens to my usual barber. After reading the reviews on this site I decided to give this barbershop a chance. I was very satisfied with my results. Call and spoke to a nice gentlemen name Cameron who agreed to take me when I arrive to the baber shop after work. He did a Great job. The place was very professional and respectful for a female. I will be back. Love my haircut. Thanks Cam! See you in two weeks!

Terrible customer service! Poorly trained barbers! And barbers do not keep appointments. My hair line was destroyed! And the owner had a calus attitude about my complaint. To many black barbers have lost the ART of intergrity and skill. I will never be back again!

Recently I decided to cut all my hair off so a friend of mine recommended I go to Levels. Said it was a barbershop known for cutting rappers and celebrities’ hair so I decided to give it a try. I walked in w/​two other girl friends, all of us w/​long hair, so of course all the guys looked at us like, ‘what could you ladies possibly want in here?’, except for one guy — my new barber Joseph. He was all the way in the back looking cool w/​his hipster glasses, baseball cap and iced green tea. He greeted us and asked could he help us. Little did he know he was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a barber for my first haircut — Cool, stylish, laid back, polite and immediately helpful. He asked me what I wanted and delivered 100%! In fact he went above and beyond giving me a deep shampoo and condition as well as talked about products I could use for my new natural do… all for just $ 20bucks! He was personable, professional and completely meticulous w/​my cut. Time I walked out at least 3 people complemented me on my cut! He was so good that my friend who came in w/​me also came back the very next day and got her hair cut by him and it turned out perfectly! I’ve been back to Joseph at least 4 times now for fresh cuts and each time he has great advice for me for my hair and my skin. I couldn’t be happier w/​the friend I’ve made and the professional relationship I have w/​my new barber. Joseph comes highly recommended!

I don’t have anything bad to say about this place i come here from time to time to get me a shape up and to shave my head when i’m not in the mood to do it myself. they always are very nice and cool. having good conversations and polite never have anything negative to say and they always hooked me up with my haircut so its on point! you will pay 20 for a haircut and shape up or so which maybe pricey for some who usually pay like 12 i think.

Even if you do everything quite well 99% of the time, slacking doesn’t work when my money’s involved. Although I may run a little late, it doesn’t mean I should be waiting for my barber to go get his breakfast and then return to eat it while time is ticking away. Feed your face before you come to work or on your lunch break — not during your 1^st appointment of the day. The nerve of him to rinse his crumby paws off at the shampoo station INSTEAD of washing up with soap in the bathroom is even worse. I should have blasted him then & there, but in places like this the employees are comfortable and can’t process accountability. At this point I truly wouldn’t want to give him my business again.

It was Saturday night and I needed a haircut bad before a night out on the town. It was pretty late when I decided that I needed one and the only place that was open was Levels. I started to make my way out there, but it started to rain heavily and I was without an umbrella. I came in soaking wet, and everyone looked at me funny probably because of two things: 1. I looked like I just jumped into a pool with all of my clothes on 2. I was Asian
Regardless, they took me anyways. Do note that they only accept cash, and it’s $ 20 for a men’s haircut. There is an ATM right next door though. Anyways, Joseph was my barber, a really nice and talkative person who’s attention to detail is immaculate. I’m usually afraid of visiting new barbers because my hair isn’t exactly easy to cut, and I wasn’t too sure how much experience they had cutting my type (asian) of hair. He asked what I wanted and cut it exactly as I had asked and put me at relief. I ended up paying $ 27 for the whole thing, but it was worth it for the peace of mind and convenience.

I will never go back to this barber shop again. I was not at all pleased with my hair cut and the lady in the back is beyond rude and obnoxious.

I’m only giving it a 2 because of the atmosphere but I went here simply to get a shape up and sat in the chair of a barber of which I don’t know his name but he sits way in the back and wears glasses and has a scar on his face. Anyway I told he’s «nice» so I said ok fine. I told him I wanted a shape up and when it was all said and done it turned out the be the worst shape up I have ever had… And then had the nerve to try and charge me $ 15! Really?! You must be stupid! How do you mess up a shape up? All your basically doing is tracing over whatever is there. My advice to levels is hire people that can actually cut and not people that only cut their son’s hair!
