An adorable little Japanese gift shop filled with paper goods, small gifts, dining plates and glasses, tea and tea accessories, and more. Right at the entrance, they have these cute little animal paper balloons that I scooped up for some friends for $ 4 a piece. They also had a small but nicely curated selection of origami paper, paper mobile sets and cards. But my favorite find of the day = ninja chopsticks(!!) nestled among the nicer, more traditional sets.

if i ever need an eclectic, traditional japanese gift for a friend or as a treat to myself, i find myself wandering in here. they have a collection of tea sets, ceramic bowls, cups, kimonos, fabrics, coin purses, origami, incense, and décor! the store itself is so well hidden and easy to miss, but it never fails to surprise me. the prices are a bit steep in my opinion, but it’s certainly worth the browse!

Small little shop with lots of gift-able items and housewares! When I went they had incense/holders, little change purses, tchotchkes, glassware(mugs, cups, bowls, cups), tea kettles… I was lucky and found an awesome looking daruma statue on sale for half off because it was scratched up on one side! Yay! We also got two tea mugs as Christmas gifts and some incense.

I went out of my way today, March 15th, to go to this store. There is a sign in the window«Closed February 13th — 21st,» but no sign that it has opened since then. Be warned!

INCENSE. I recommend the Magnifiscents Angelic Series«Love»($ 5), although the Kyo-nishiki($ 5) is also soothing and twice the length. The lady was very sweet and I secretly love that they don’t allow cellphones in the store. It’s right across from Muji Chelsea, which means that every time I visit one, I’m compelled to stop by the other… my conspiracy spidey senses tell me it’s not a coincidence that they’re strategically located in front of one another(!). Just go.

I vacationed in Japan last year, and have been obsessed ever since. So when I came across this store near work, I was SO happy. Its a small shop with all kinds of things, from stationary to kimonos to teapots. A bit pricey for some things, but it’s all coming from Japan, so what do you expect? Very cute place!

This place is a little hidden store among it’s surroundings. They have Japanese products such as home décor, clothing, beauty products and accessories. They have a wide assortment of Japanese paper that you can use as wrap or for stationary. I

My best friend and I stumbled upon this store one day while window-shopping. It instantly transported me back to Nara and Nagoya, two of my favorite cities in Japan. I definitely recommend Kyotoya if you’re looking for authentic Japanese gifts for all price ranges: kimono, handbags, tea sets, dining ware, etc. The owner is a super sweet Japanese woman who guarantees all the merchandise are manufactured and imported from Japan. She owns and runs the store by herself and has no other employees, so don’t be surprised if you see an Out For Lunch sign on the door around lunch time.

Treat yourself or a special someone a gift of Japanese products. Kimono(in infant/toddler sizes to adults), fabrics, greeting cards, incense, dinner flatwares, lamps, tea leaves from Kyoto, and other things worth checking out. One of the nicest and coolest places to visit. The owner is very pleasant and talkative. The website tells you what they carry: Oh yes, Japanese snack.
