Went here during a blizzard as it was the only place still open in Chinatown! There were only a few parties including us, so all 4 of my table’s orders came within minutes. My curry beef noodle soup had the perfect amount of spicy and I could actually drink the soup without being feeling overwhelmed by salt which is usually the case with this type of dish. Loved that there were many many slices of onion. The menu was limited but the waitress was accommodating and patient in explaining what they had left available that day. I did find a hair in my tea though. I’d been here a year ago and had chicken and roast pork over rice. That was delicious as well.

Old school, no fuss cantonese restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown. My office regularly orders lunch from here because they have some of the best roast meat we have had in chinatown. When you enter the restaurant, dine-in is on the left and take-out is on the right. I’ve only had take-out here so I don’t have any comments on the dining experience. On the left of the take-out area is a fast food counter where you can choose 3 dishes with rice for a total of 4 $. Since our office is more dish heavy(and less carb heavy), we choose to order large boxes of dishes from their take-out counter(I believe a large box is 3 $). Our favorite is the spicy tofu(which generally sells out by 12PM so come a bit earlier to be able to choose from all their selection). Their roast meat is also decently priced, with their char siu and roast pork being our favorites. While their food is incredibly cheap and affordable, the one thing they lack is service. Whenever you order from them, you can expect to get a big dose of attitude from them. They make you feel like you’re serving them instead of them serving you. They scoff at you when you order from them(especially from the roast meat section) and they make you feel uncomfortable. I really like the food here but I would definitely come more often if their service was better.

Been here twice both times my soup was excellent. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup was awesome, dumpling noodle not quite as good. But soooooo cheap! If you walk out of there paying more than $ 7 you’ve ordered too much. When I ran out of broth the waiter brought me more without me asking! Better than average Chinatown service I think.

I seldomly give poor reviews but this merited some venting. Asked for a 3 blessings rice and specified char siu and roast pork to be my two meats. Also asked to have a little more«gerng yong,» which is a salty type of scallion and ginger condiment. With a seemingly annoyed«what?! 3 blessings rice?»(In Cantonese) the butcher reluctantly turned around to get a box of rice. Then grabbed a conservative amount of roast pork and sliced it up. Noticed then that the butcher gave me duck instead, and figured whatever and decided to keep it. But he grabbed it from what seemed to be a pan of leftover meat. Probably extras from larger orders but also definitely leftover meats unwanted. Cashier? Meh didn’t bother looking me in the eye before or after barking the price and taking my cash. The food? See for yourself. No «gerng yong.» The duck was practically all bones. The roast pork was conservative indeed. If the goal was to not care, they’ve done well. Unfortunately, so will I be conservative with my stars and recommend you find another roast meats type of restaurant in ctown. There are plenty.

I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint me. Sure, the place look rundown and there are the occasional flies flying around but their food is on point. They are consistent with everything they make. The restaurant being full 90% of the time should be enough to show you why. Cheap, good food. What is there not to like? You can also order take out at the front of the restaurant. You can look through a glass panel to see what they offer.

The food was okay. But the waiter was extremely rude and added an extra order to the poor guys sat next to me, who had no idea the waiter’s language and sneaky move.

Coincidentally came here because nothing else was open and we didn’t know what to eat. Saw that the menu had a wide selection so we gave it a shot. The dumpling soup was $ 3-$ 4 so I thought it was a small bowl for one person but it’s a big bowl for two. We had 1 wonton soup, 1 dumpling soup, and a plate of roast pork for only $ 14. The food was really good. Their roast pork was excellent.

This place is a no nonsense old school canto restaurant. What they lack in ambiance and flare they make up with their food and the prices are phenominal. Where else are you going to get a big plate of beef chow fun fit for 2 people for $ 6.50? Also there is a waiter there that seems to know what you are there for before you even know yourself! Lol. My go to place when im feeling hungry and dont want to bleed out my wallet.

Um I’ve been here like maybe like 3 years ago and back for a cheap lunch. The food was good. The service was eh, they didn’t even greet you they were just like whateva, and they were super rude. The utensils are so dirty. One thing i saw was it was like noon and the worker there was drinking beer. Like how are you going to work being drunk or at least tipsy man.

Not good. I did not like this place at all. We ordered the three meat combo: BBQ pork, roast duck, and roast pork. The BBQ pork was bland, the roast duck was okay but slightly dry, and the roast pork was absolutely disgusting. They gave us the driest pieces imaginable, and they had absolutely zero skin. WTF?! In all my years of eating roast pork, their is always crispy skin attached to it. The price was pretty cheap. I want to say under $ 6. But so not worth it. I’m not sure if anything else is good, but I’m not willing to go back and try again. If they can’t even figure out to make the bare basics taste good, I doubt anything else is good. Also, I’m not really sure what the name of this business is. The menus have one name, and the name on the outside is something else. Whatever the name, their is no reason to order food from here. Especially with so many other options in the area. This place is pretty spacious and can accommodate a stroller and/or wheelchair(assuming it’s not crazy busy inside). Cash only.

The Won Ton Soup was very good; my dish, fried noodles with shrimp, was okay but not remarkable and the Chinese mushrooms tasted a bit funky. What really bothered me was the lack of interest from the staff towards us. Maybe it was because we were non-Chinese in a Chinatown restaurant, but that’s still not okay. The restaurant itself already looks a bit old but has a nice Chinatown appeal. I would not necessarily come back but would also not fight if somebody suggests eating there.

Love love love this place! $ 5 for a lunch takeout of cha siu and siu yok rice! It’s totally worth it.

This is my go-to place for lunch if i’m in the mood for noodle soup. I highly recommend their Cheew zow noodle soup which contains a shrimp, a cow brisket ball, a fishball, some pieces of shredded chicken, and some pieces of cha siu(roasted pork) for only $ 4.00(used to be $ 3.50 but they raised it the last couple of months). They also offer three choices of food with rice for $ 4.00 for lunch. However, the selection usually is very limited after 1pm. So go there earlier if you want rice.

This place was solid as I was just walking by, looking to grab some food and it looked like a place where you can get some quick cheap food. To be honest, the place is a bit dirty, but since its so cheap and quick its not a bad deal. The congee wasn’t at the level that I am used to but the roast duck was good. I also got a noodle soup needed some more flavor. I’m not sure I would be eager to try this place again but if I was in a rush, I would probably go back.

This restaurant is a good hole in the wall type place to get something quick to eat. It is very similar to Big Wong. I like to order the pork with thousand year egg congee. You can also order a fried cruller, or fried dough, to pull apart and put in the congee. Appetizers I recommend on their menu are minced beef rice crepes and the fried cruller rice crepes. These dishes are the beef/fried dough wrapped in rice noodles I like for Dim Sum. Entrée dishes I enjoy here are chicken pan fried noodle, beef chow fun, beef with green peas over rice, and chicken/vegetable mei fun. The roast pork is phenomenal here. I get it to go and eat it at home with my family.

They have what is arguable the best roasted duck you will find in Chinatown. They also have what is arguably the worst waitress you will ever find in any restaurant. I brought a non-Chinese friend to eat with me once with the cook looking intently and he got pretty sick. So beware. Go there if you want to buy take out duck, but thats all I can suggest.

Fast food ambience and fast service though not friendly. I was glad to have my Chinese wife with me to discuss the order with the owner. The red pork meet had good quality and low price. Hot-sour soup was rather sour. We also had a tofu dish and a chicken-noodle soup which were if medium quality. The se

I LOVELOVELOVETHISPLACE! I’ve been a regular customer of this place for probably a decade. I used to come here with parents when I was much younger. The food here is simply amazing for such a steal — what you pay vs. what you get. They recently bumped up their prices a little bit. I don’t mind because even after the price increase, you are still getting your money’s worth. It is still a very cheap price for what you are getting. I used to get the roast pork on rice or the soy sauce chicken on rice which was $ 3.50 and $ 3.75. However, recently I’ve been sticking to rice dishes with more vegetables, such as any protein with broccoli or Chinese vegetable. Those are two of my favorite greens especially when they are tossed up with all those Chinese sauce and flavoring. Simply delicious! I also very much enjoy their Shrimp with egg sauce on rice. When I am sick I would just order a quart congee for $ 3! I have their number on speed dial because it’s one of those safe places for food I’m more comfortable with. I like to call ahead so when I arrive I can just pick up my food and go. Not to mention, I also have many friends who enjoy this place just as much. Basically, we all end up eating here for a quick lunch or dinner a lot! ** one negative thing about this place is that the two women who takes your order and collects the money always look annoyed. Even though I am a regular, their attitudes have not improved over the years. BUTOTHERWISE, PLEASEGIVETHISPLACE A TRY. ITSGREATFOODFOR A GREATVALUE!

Been here a countless times and had their BBQ meats and lunch specials. Their food is ok. The boss is there pretty much all the time and I never see her smile and greet the customer, it’s like she hates the world. This particular time, I ordered vegetable noodle soup. What I got was rotten vegetables! I go back and tell them about it and the boss doesn’t say sorry and just hands it off to one of the workers. I tell the worker that I want another vegetable and the boss must’ve misinterpreted what I said. I told the worker that«I don’t want the same vegetable, give me something different.» The boss then responds to her worker«if she wants something else it’ll cost more and she’ll have to pay the difference.» She heard me and she didn’t bother directly responding to me but rather indirectly. The worker was pretty nice, she apologized for the vegetables and gave me a new order. I actually watched her making it so nobody spits in my food. I don’t know how she runs her business with that kind of customer service. She infuriates me!!!

According to my Chinese coworker, he said this is one of the older restaurants in chinatown. I came here with a friend because I just love roast pig. Roast pig is the crispy kind, not the red stuff slathered in sauce. Not much to be said about this place, other than it’s no frills Chinatown. Rice, meat, what more do you want? The food here is pretty cheap and tasty. When I was done, I ordered the roast pig to go, and I think it was $ 8 a lb or something like that.
