Mediocre food. Shitty service and hygiene. I go here regularly but never bothered to write anything down. Its truly a place with food ranging from poor to mediocre. The one star I gave them was primarily because I cannot give a zero star and for the fact that they are at least consistent with the poor-mediocre food quality. Their service is usually alright but today I just had it! I went in, ordered a veggie bowl. I clearly asked the guy, «can you give me less rice», to which the guy said, «I can give you one of the extra toppings» I said Okay lets do that, thinking that what he wants to replace the rice with. He goes on to charge me for the extra topping and I asked him that I didn’t think that he was charging me extra for it. I ask him to cancel it because I don’t want to eat chana AND paneer mixed up together. Guy begins to make a BIG stink about how I didn’t understand what he clearly said and that I need to tell him sooner or else his process gets disrupted. He begins to pay me the difference back in cash and I told him to keep it as I can afford an extra 3.50 and that its not about the money but about the fact that I didn’t want too much rice in my meal! he didn’t get it and tried to force the cash into my hand and when I didn’t take it, he proceeded to put it in the tip jar. Amazing. I’ve never had an argument over $ 3.50. Stay away from this place. Maoz next door is much nicer, cleaner, healthier and with a generally higher sense of hygiene. This will be the last time I visit this joint or refer anyone to it.

Amazing rolls with authentic indian chutney flavour… Chicken tikka roll is a must try! Chatpata Paneer Roll is also very good. Keep it up!

This is a small place in the general Times Square area serving kati rolls, which you can only really get in a few US cities. These were OK — not bad but not great. The place is pretty much fast food so you can’t count much on service. In this case it was neither good nor bad. There were some small fruit fly type of things on one of the walls(away from the food though). They might want to do something about that…

On Tuesday nights I take a class at the Drama Book shop which is just down the street from Kati Junction and for the past three weeks I’ve stopped at this joint for a quick, delicious meal before class. Thus far, I’ve only ordered the: Egg Chicken Roll which comes with Chicken tikka and a layer of beaten eggs. One thing I REALLY like about Kati Junction is how perfectly they cook their eggs. They have this large, wok-like stove that they use to make the eggs and they quickly turn out these thin, perfect«omelette layers» which are laid down on the bread and jointly wrapped around the meat. This particular sandwich is quite simple, but it’s really good and I love the bread they use. It’s thin yet, soft and super addictive. This sandwich DOES have its greasy moments, but this is also fast food so, I’m not complaining. In fact, who doesn’t like a little grease? Overall, Kati Junction is a quick, pleasant, Indian fast food joint that makes really good food. I would definitely recommend it.

The paneer roll is off the hook. I don’t know what they put in that bread but it’s crack.

Indeed the world of the fast food culinary arts is evalutionizing into a more diverse culture in NYC. You will no longer only see the traditional American fast food chains or friechies now you will continue to embark into the diversity of the new demands for culinary unity in integration of flavor, aroma, spices, herbs and entrees of specialties of the international world together with the Amercian explorations of the culinary arts. I indeed recommend this place to anyone looking to indulge in the intimacy of India most devine rolls full of tasteful flavor, aroma, spices and herbs. And looking to explore a different taste in the culinary arts.

I got the aaloo and mix veg rolls with mango lassi for under $ 15, which in phenomenal pricing for NYC. They’ve got the flavor down as well! The mix veggie roll contains raisins and dry fruit, in case you’re not into that

I recently shifted my base to NYC from India and it goes without saying that how much I miss desi food. I stumbled upon this quaint little place during a visit to my husband at his workplace in Times Square. A little hard to spot, the place is not very fancy but the food is mind blowing. I ordered a spicy paneer wrap with Pistachio milk. The drink wasn’t that great but the roll tickled my taste buds. I am definitely going back there again!

The place isn’t fancy but the food is good and inexpensive. Order at the back counter and check your ticket #. You have an option of ordering a wrap for about $ 7.00 or a rice bowl for about $ 9.50. First time out I had the chicken tikka wrap which was a generous serving of spicy chicken in a soft wrap. Second time I had the rice bowl with chicken tikka. They hand you the open bowl and you add your own salad selection — I went with a corn salad and a chickpea salad — both good. Very big portion. Both visits the lines were very short at lunch. I will be going back on a regular basis.

You know that a culture-specific place is good when you see lots of people who call that food«home» frequenting the business, and this place definitely fits that bill. As someone who has never really forayed too deeply into Indian cuisine, this place does a great job of conveying the comfort food aspect of a kati roll and did not scare me off or disappoint. The Chicken Tikka Roll seems to be the most popular option, and it IS very tasty without being overly spicy. You could fill up on just that one roll, but I would get two different rolls to keep myself satiated until dinner time. The Aloo Masala Roll is also very good for a vegetarian option, but it IS more spicy as the little chili pepper on the menu denotes. If you don’t like spicy, you’ve been warned! All in all the rolls are usually stuffed full, and this place won’t break the bank with a lunch averaging around $ 9 – 10. The rolls(especially ones with meat) can get a little dry depending on how heavy the cook’s hand is, so I recommend getting a side of the green sauce to dip your rolls in as you munch! *Bonus points for being a meal I can eat while navigating thru Times Square if I’m in a rush.

Convenient fast Indian food consisting of various spicy stuff rolled inside a flatbread — reasonable for the price and convenience but not more. Will work only if you are very hungry and don’t raise the expectations too much. Informal place with bottled drinks and some limited seating. We ordered veggie and paneer(cheese) rolls. The filling was great but the roll itself was a bit greasy and mushy for my taste. You may want to recommend that they make it crisp. For drinks they had bottled mango lassi — which turned out to be decent but far from the fresh taste. Recommend you go for safer options: soda or water! Update: date of visit 12÷27÷14

I just happened across Kati Junction when looking for something to eat on a recent trip to NY. It was after the dinner hour, and the place was empty. The server was very friendly and attentive. Stupid me(I blame not having data on my phone), I missed out on ordering kathi rolls. Instead, we ordered the basmati rice bowl with salad. So this review will be about that and I will simply have to come back to review the rolls! The two we tried were the chicken tikka and the shami kebab. Both were really good, a spicy kick for sure to it(nothing we couldn’t handle) but the fan favourite was definitely the chicken tikka. So much so that we ordered another one to take back to hotel for a family member that stayed behind.

It’s getting competitive in the kathi roll world, finally! I personally liked the chana, alu and paneer rolls here. The paneer is a bit bland, but the sauce they offer adds to it. The service is terrible but the food is excellent! Prices seemed comparatively higher too.

So glad they put this near me! I’ve been to Kati roll, but it isnt that close to me. I come here about 2x a month. Its a pretty small space and can get crowded during lunch time but the lines move fast. I usually get the chicken tikka roll or the chicken with egg roll. The chicken tikka is great. But in comparison to the one with an egg in it, its a little dry. Both are still very good. I’ve ordered the Aloo roll before. That, too, is tasty. All are really seasoned and have a spicy kick to them. You can ask them not to make it spicy, and they’ll oblige. I do recommend this place. One won’t fill you up… always get 2!

2 sandwiches for $ 10 in NYC??? Amazing price and amazing value. I really enjoyed my lunch here, everyone was very helpful, and the price was right. I got the lamb and the chicken tiki, was overjoyed with both.

I’ve been here a few times now. If you’ve been to Kati Roll, then the food should be familiar to you. The décor doesn’t have the old Indian film look though. The food is good. I tried the Egg Chicken roll a few times, and like it better than Kati’s Roll’s same roll. Best part about this place, you don’t have to wait forever for your food.

Good indian food near Times Square… who knew, right? It’s a new spot tourists haven’t discovered yet so if you’re craving something tasty and hustling for a place to grab some quick lunch, consider here. It’s a nice, quiet, unsullied place for civilized people with really nice rolls. The folks here look like they can use some more business, so I’m helping to spread the word that this place is worth your money.

If you’ve never had kati roll, this place is about as good! It’s clearly a knock off, but you get the same product and there’s no line. What’s strange is that they charge the same amount as Kati Roll. I would definitely give this place 4 stars if they were a bit less expensive.

Finally a solution to the madness at Kati Roll Company on 39th which is always packed with a long wait and not a good option if you’re looking for a quick lunch. Kati Junction very recently opened and the food here is great. Prices are similar and on par with Kati Roll(~$ 5 – 6 per roll/~$ 10 – 11 for 2) and I feel the portion sizes are even slightly larger. The ingredients are fresh and you can see them making everything on the grill. I actually think their rolls taste a bit better too, the spices they use are just the right amount and not too overpowering. The flatbread wrap is also softer and fluffier than Kati Roll Co. I tried the egg aloo roll and it was delicious. Spicy potatoes, fresh layer of eggs, and the tangy onions/sauce mixed together very well. The portion size is pretty good for the quality/price. I would say one roll is enough for lunch if you’re not extremely hungry. They also have salad/rice bowl options($ 7.50−8.50) if you’re not looking to get the kati rolls. There’s a small counter space for seating enough to fit maybe 6 – 7 ppl max? The store itself isn’t very big and can get crowded when the lunch rush rolls in. The wait is not that bad though compared with Kati Roll Co — I ordered and got my food in about 10 minutes. Keep your receipt and look out for your order number — this is the number the guy calls out for you to pick up your order. I can see how this can get chaotic if they get busier.

The food is great, however they opened very recently and have some kinks to work out. There is a line to order and then a group of people waiting for food. Both lines grow and the space becomes very crowded. The place works as a combination of made to order and assembly line. There is one guy grilling meats, another making flat breads, a third assembling the rolls, and a fourth guy bagging them and calling out the ticket numbers. NOTE: Your receipt will have an order number and a ticket number. You need to look at your ticket number because that is what the guy will call out. Several people were standing there waiting for their order number to be called. This should be addressed and fixed ASAP. The guy calling out the numbers has a very thick accent and is difficult to understand. The area where you get napkins etc has a bin of unwrapped straws, which is gross and should be fixed immediately.
