Dr. Maria Karpov and her staff are the best at what they do. From A — Z: from the first appointment to assessing what needs to be done, to making a financial plan (insurance, payments etc.) to being seen ON TIME (every time!), to calling after hours with an emergency to her access to specialists around the city– it is a breeze and 100% professional and top notch.
My daughter is currently under her care and is in braces. She suffers terribly from TMJ which is being made worse by the movement of her bite. The good news is that Dr. Karpov is a bite specialist. She is at the top of her game and knows how important it is to align the bite so TMJ won’t be an issue for our daughter in the future. Dr. Karpov is cutting edge. And she works within our budget (when does THAT happen in NYC??) and has the BEST people in her rolodex when she needs to refer out.
Because of her bite expertise, I got treated for my TMJ too! I have suffered from TMJ for 30 years and never thought it was possible to feel better. She fit me with a splint and after several adjustments, my jaw relaxed and fits comfortably when I wear my splint. So grateful!
She has two offices– TriBeCa and UWS. The environment is clean, borderline immaculate and her support staff are very skilled and knowledgable.
And the price? REASONABLE. Get an estimate before you commit to braces. Ask around and see what it costs. Karpov’s prices are in the middle. Worth every. Single. Penny.

I went to Dr Karpov for a consultation to learn more about a night guard. My first impression when i was seen at her office was that it had a very clean and relaxing environment. She was very professional and nice, she spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed which was very important to me. The waiting time is never over 5mins and her staff are always so warm and welcoming. I started treatment with her and couldn’t be any happier with my results. She is a great Dr and i am really happy with her treatment. I’ll recommend her to everybody, kids and adults!

Dr. Lin is ridiculously nice. She will go through each step with you to make sure you understand what is going on. And during the procedure, she will often ask if you’re feeling okay. (She even jokingly offered to give me a ride back to North Jersey).
Even though I was referred to her by my dentist to get a root canal, she tested my tooth to make sure I needed one (the guy that went before didn’t end up needing one!). Unfortunately I did, but it was such a pleasant experience.

My upper retaining wire was poking out at one end — just poking out away from my teeth a little. It was sharp and annoying. Called up Karpov Orthodontics having never been there before and they said they would see to it for free. Amazing! They were good to their word. Looked after me very well, dealt with the problem with the wire, and wouldn’t take my money. I know where to go for any future orthodontic issues. Very clean office and friendly staff.

After hearing horror stories about my upcoming first-​ever root canal, I can’t heap enough praise on Dr. Lin at Karpov Ortho. Two appointments — 6 shots (!) and none hurt. She’s a genius. Total tooth reconstruction, nice atmosphere, and an orthodontist who is super considerate, pleasant, and good at what she does. I’d go back, and will if I need it.

Ive been receiving invisalign treatment from Dr Maria Karpov for 2 years now and she is absolutely such a pleasure to have as an orthodontist. i am so grateful for her and her staff to work around my ridiculous work schedule– they are patient and understanding and more importantly i have a pretty set of teeth now! strong strong recommend!
