I went to an electrical school there on Dekalb Ave. Extension and used to see people in there with suits and ties on a daily basis and I finally decided to go in for a bite of chocolate cheesecake ive heard about The cheesecske is buttery and smooth And with a cup of coffee like nirvana A liitle pricey and hyped up but still an NYC gem

I really loved Juniors! I’ve tried to find good cheesecake in different cities and let me tell you, it was pretty hard to find one like this. My husband and I ordered a carrot cheesecake and shared it and the creaminess was just to die for. I’m not a big fan carrot cake to begin with, so to say that it was the best cheesecake for me wouldn’t be true, but for being a flavor that I’m okay with; I’m truly shocked with how good it was! Can’t wait to come back here and try other flavors!

So how do you eat a really mind-blowing, fantastic chocolate dessert? Do you do a «Guy Fieri» and hunch yourself with shoulders flying out like a savage?(Sorry, Guy, I think you’re cool, but no offense). No. And no. When eating chocolate, you are supposed to treat it delicately. Ladies, you need to eat chocolate with finesse and enjoy every scent that the cocoa lets out and savor every taste. And don’t forget that«Mmmmmm» sound you make when you take that chocolate bite. Gentlemen, you got me there– I can’t help you on that. But if you have a technique, more power to you! Junior’s Cheesecake is ultimate. I can only comment on one cheesecake-though they have a variety of Cheesecakes and fast-food fare. The rare times I use the Metro North, I make sure that I pick up the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. The bottom of the slice is comprised of plain(white) cheesecake, which I always discard. Not because it’s unpleasant, but because I don’t particularly care for and I’m not a fan of plain cheesecake. Then the top portion is ALL-L-L Chocolate Mousse, wrapped around with(what looks like to me) a gazillion ultra mini dark chocolate chips. I was very impressed, partly because Junior’s, though famous in their own right, really makes a great tasting Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. Similar in taste AND quality(mind you) with what you might find in an elaborate, Chocolate high-end Shoppe but way reasonably priced.

Big burgers!!! On a tourist trip and decided to eat at juniors because I’ve seen people carrying there bags around everywhere I go. Greeted by a host and waited on by Glenda, very nice server. Complimentary pickles and slaw was nice. The burgers are ginormous, wish I knew as I would have shared. Ordered medium but would have done medium well due to the size and pinkness when you got closer to the middle. Both of us could not finish it. We shared a plain cheesecake and it melted in our mouths. Totally different to any other cheesecake I’ve had. Every bite we had something positive to say. Curious about the cake crust, I shall ask the next time I go to a juniors. Overall great experience.

Certainly the best New York style cheesecake we’ve ever had. I would give it a higher rating accept that at $ 7/slice you have to make some hard choices as to how you want to spend your money. In this instance I don’t regret my decision…

I got a slice of the Strawberry Cheesecake here($ 3.95) — definitely not impressed. The strawberry sauce was a little too thick and gelatine-y, and reminded me of cough syrup. The graham cracker crust was kind of on the soggy side. I should’ve just gotten a plan NY style cheesecake, because that damn strawberry syrup ruined everything!

This review is for the bakery in Grand Central. Not the restaurant. I felt the need to clarify that because there are reviews for both places on this one. I decided to get lost in Grand Central this time and I’m glad I did! The restaurant is always so busy and crowded I don’t even bother. But when I saw this little shop I had to buy their original cheesecake and bring it home(to Hawaii… in my carry-on! See pics on how I packed it haha) to the family. It was definitely well worth the hassle walking it back to my hotel(in Chelsea) and flying it across the country!!! Very rich and creamy texture. And it survived the whole trip! I ate the first and last piece and I’m not ashamed. The store is very small and staff is friendly.

I got Juniors to go, and by that I mean someone brought me a Juniors Double Chocolate Mousse cake on 2 trains, and 1 carride… let me tell you… that cake is worth traveling across the country for. It was full of flavor, fresh, creamy, and rich. Go into the GCS, go to Junior’s, hop on a train, and be in heaven.

Just as advertised, thick, creamy, decadent cheesecake that people dream about. This particular location is in the downstairs food court of Grand Central. Huge selection. Quick service with a smile. Their velvet cheesecake can easily be split by two people.

I have been ordering from Juniors for the past few years. I live in WA now and their Cheesecakes always arrive on time and in perfect shape.

The first slice of cheesecake I ever had was from Junior’s in Brooklyn. Now, they have a site in midtown Manhattan so you don’t have to shlep to Brooklyn for great cheesecake. My fav is still the original with strawberries. Today I tried a slice of their red velvet cheesecake. It has red velvet cake with a layer of original cheesecake. The frosting tasted like whipped cheesecake, so it was much lighter. There is a bakery next to the restaurant so you don’t have to wait on long lines if you only want dessert. They also sell croissants, scones, cupcakes, and beverages.

I absolutely love Juniors. Like, it’s a little bit of a problem. I’m one step away from ordering their cheesecakes for delivery back to Denver(yes, they do that and I know it). For starters, I’ve always had fabulous service at either the GSC or Times Square restaurant. I mean we’re not talking over the top Michelin-rated restaurant service, but for a diner? It’s pretty darn good. They are always prompt and pleasant. And my oh my their cheesecakes. Yes, I have the cookbook. It’s the BESTEVER. I’ve made a good chunk of them out of the book, and had a good chunk of them in the restaurant and they are truly out of this world. I love their spongecake crust versus the traditional graham cracker. I think it really lets you focus on the incredibad taste and texture of the cake. Anyway, I’m clearly a fan. I haven’t had one thing I didn’t like.

There are two Juniors in GCT, and no one will mistake either one for the Brooklyn original. Upstairs there is a bakery selling cakes and pastries to go. Downstairs is a casual sit down restaurant, with a limited deli menu featuring paper plates and plastic utensils. The best option to satisfy my need for pastrami is a sandwich to go. When its good, its very good – and very reasonably priced, but unfortunately quality control is lacking, and several times a sandwich bought close to closing time has consisted of scraps of meat that shouldn’t have been sold. They’ve also left out the pickle more than once! As for their famed cakes, a slice of their cheesecake with strawberries is a treat, but we inevitably find an entire cake is more than we want.

Ran into this place while i was at GCS. This was on my list to try while in the city but i was disappointed after i tried it. A little on the heavy thick side which i read about it before i tried it but i had to try it myself. Did not meet up to the hype all NYC people wrote about. Anyway, i can say i have been there and tried it out. I guess i should have tried the other flavors but i did not want to go further. Try it anway and maybe the fruit topping selections would be better. Not the plain which i had. I would never know. Life goes on…

My friend from Brooklyn recommends me Juniors Cheesecake. He said this is the best NY style cheese cake. I tried. I bought NY plain cheese cake. However, I was little disappointed. The cheese cake is okay. Not super surprise. It tastes like regular cheese cake from a local bakery store. I believe it has a flavor of toffee, which is a bit too sweet for me. Sometimes I bought frozen cheese cake from local supermarket. I feel they share the similar taste. The cheese cake from Juniors has very thick consistency and tastes too sweet for me. Cheese cake here is okay. Don’t expect too much.

First I should say that I have never actually been to this diner. One of my close friends lives in New York and he ordered me one of these wonderful cheesecakes. Once for my wedding three years ago and once just last week because I have been out sick. These cheesecakes are amazing. Nothing compares to New York cheesecake. I have only tried the four assortment cheesecake, but the raspberry is to die for. My husband really likes the cherry crumble cheesecake. The packaging is perfect too, Since I live all the way in WA state it’s a delight to be able to have the cheesecake all the way over here. I would defiantly recommend this place even if you live far away.

I can’t very well give this place less than 3 stars because it is supposedly a hit around NYC, but I was not a fan of the cheesecake. A little disclaimer, I’m not a huge fan of NY style cheesecake in the first place… it is too thick in my opinion so remember that when reading this review. The part that really turned me off is that I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake and the Strawberries were disgusting. They were covered in syrup that tasted like it came out of a can full of high fructose syrup. I had to scrape off the strawberry gel or whatever it was from the cheesecake before I could even taste the actual cheesecake. Again, if you love NY Style Cheesecake, you may like this place more than me, but I was highly disappointed.

This place was in the right place at the right time and I got to buy my wife her first piece of cheesecake. I was so lucky they were still open and we truly appreciate it’s location. Thanks for not closing on us guys because we came a long way for this deliciousness.
