Johnny Favorites Pizza

Ordered delivery from here a couple of times. Consistently fast, affordable, mediocre pizza. Plenty of cheese, saucy, good ratio of toppings to pie. Is it going to blow your mind? No. But that said, if you expect it to at this price point, then that’s your mistake, not Johnny’s.
Stay away from the ricotta, this is not the place to get creative.

We ordered 2 very well done pizzas for dinner last night and we got (an hour and a half later) a ball of cheese and dough delivered instead. Pizzas were almost raw. Both pizzas were big sloppy messes! All the cheese was off both pies in a big goopy goo pile in the corner of the box…
Delivery guy might want to try carrying the pizzas horizontally rather than vertically next time.

Pizza was average, meatball roll barely had any meat, basically just cheese and bread with some meat sprinkled in. Looks like the JV squad was manning the oven and the bike tonight.

*Wish I tried just one but spots where you can order slices via Eat24 are shockingly hard to come by, so jumped at the opportunity to try this spot with pretty much all fake reviews preceding mine.

Five stars based only upon the chicken roll and pepperoni roll my friend and I had. The chicken roll was among the best I’ve had. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce and soft. Really really good. Sauce on the side was excellent, not acidic or sweet like a lot of places make it to hide their poor ingredients. The pepperoni roll my friend said was great too. My only complaint is they had no Coke Zero despite it being on the menu

Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. It was horrible. The worst buffalo chicken pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been eating buffalo chicken pizza for a long time, it’s not a difficult pizza to make taste really great. Standard buffalo chicken pizza should be Frank’s hot sauce — mixed with some butter — then tossed in little square slices of chicken. NO MARINARA SAUCE ! — this is their biggest crime — they put red tomato sauce on it like a regular cheese pie, then put the buffalo chicken on top. WRONG! That’s gross. You should go to prison for that. buffalo chicken pizza should never ever have red sauce and cheese like a regular pie. It should only contain buffalo chicken with hot sauce & blue cheese or some places do ranch, but I prefer blue cheese.
Tye chicken should be chicken cutlet and not grilled chicken too. Take the chicken chop it up into little squares, get a big bowl and pour Frank’s red hot hot sauce in it mix it with some melted butter and then toss that chicken in and mix it around so it’s nice and spicy and saucy. After that, then you put the buffalo chicken down on the dough. Next sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top (not too much) just enough to hold the chicken to the dough. When the pie comes out of the oven and is hot and fresh and ready to be served you can either drizzle some blue cheese dressing on top or serve it on the side. The way they made their buffalo chicken pizza here, made me wanna throw up. I hope they take my advice and change their recipe because currently this is the most disgusting pizza I ever had. Buffalo chicken pizza is not hard to make.

I popped in on a rainy day for a calzone to warm me up. It was excellent, really well made and hit the spot perfectly.
And it was a quiet afternoon so they comped my Diet Pepsi. Good guys!

Great local pizza joint. Nothing artisanal here, but tasty, friendly takeout pizza place. Has taken top spot as my lazy pizza in bed day delivery go to.

Delicious and professional. I ordered 2 pizzas for my college students for our final class and there was a mixup with the order (not their fault, it was a grubhub thing). They were professional, courteous, and the food was delicious.

Despite the fact that my order was late I was satisfied with my food. They were able to deliver individual slices which I loved… Other pizzerias I searched do not offer that. Delivery man was super nice as well.

Delicious and friendly! I’m a big fan of the calzone and the gelato! Rolls, pizza, lots of tasty toppings to choose from. I walked by and the balloons drew me in plus the friendly guy who said hi and welcomed me. I like that you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine while you Nosh on your pizza!

Great addition to the neighborhood. I went here a week or so ago for dinner, excited that a new slice shop was opening near my apartment. They have a very good selection of toppings. There are the classics you’d expect to see everywhere, like margherita and plain, but several interesting slices, too. One thing I haven’t seen a lot of is stuffed slices, but they had several options. I opted for the stuffed meat slice, which was delicious. They also have various rolls (like chicken rolls) and calzones. Nice to see some variety on a menu! They also offer, expectedly, salads. We got the caesar salad, it it was a delicious, solid salad: crisp lettuce, great flavorful tangy dressing, and tons of shaved parm.
Service was prompt and friendly, the place was quite clean, and they take cards, which is great.
I will certainly return!
