The«bang for your buck» notion is truly exemplified here. The slice of cheese is killer *bang bang* for a $ 1. Probably the best dollar I have ever spent and here are the reasons why: — Dough consistency(crisp, foldable, light and flavorful)…money — Sauce flavor(tangy and a tat bit sweet)…money — Sauce to dough ratio(just the right amount of sauce)…money — Crust consistency(crunchy yet chewy)…money Surely, all of those money points should add up to more than a $ 1. Don’t you go getting ideas in raising the price Joey! Is this the best pizza I have ever eaten? Most likely not, but it is the best pizza that I have eaten for a dollar!

Awesome pizza at really good prices basically Per slice Cheese $ 1 Pepperoni and other 1 topping $ 2 Specialty $ 3 This place is a lot better than the roll pizza at the next block. We ate here almost daily when we were working in the area. I’d recommend the lasagna pizza :)

For a buck a slice, this is well deserving of 4 stars. The only reason why it’s not earning 5 is because I save them for only the best of the best(in a given area). Joey’s hit the spot. Good sauce, just the right about of cheese, and a delightful crust with a bit of crisp(although it could use just a tad bit more more) and enough chew to call it a legit NYC slice. If you took this pizza and placed in any town outside of the greater NY and Philadelphia metropolitan region, it would likely rule the pizza scene.(I live in Erie, PA for the time being, and Joey’s would easily be the best in town. Maybe they should start opening shops outside of the city…)

We were skeptical since the pizza was so in expensive — $ 2.75 for 2 pieces of pizza and a soda — we realized that it was cheese only for this but the pizza was still inexpensive– it was okay pizza but there are better places around the city — for $ 1 it is worth it though

Holy pepperoni! Walked by, grabbed a slice of cheap-ass pepperoni pizza on the go. Greasy, cheesy goodness on a paper plate! This is New York, man! Love it! Is it good for you? Probably not. Would I do it again? Hell yeah!

With so many options for pizza on the cheap, you’re probably better off visiting a spot where the owner doesn’t bitch about how he can make enough money selling cheap pizza. Hey buddy, if you’re not able to pay your bills, complaining to your customers won’t fix your problems. FYI — go across the street, buy the same pizza from someone else.

Cheap and gets the job done. Best pizza ever? Nope but not bad and pretty cheap.

Supper cheap! Cheese pizza is $ 1 per slice or 2 slices with a coke for $ 2.50! But if you are looking for a quality pizza, sorry for the disappointment! You are not looking at the right place. Just as my mom always said, «you’ll get what you paid for»! No parking but they have TV if you are looking for entertainment while you are having ur lunch.

Good pizza slices, stay away from the Jamaican beef patty. The meat inside was definitely bad and the manager refused to give me a refund. But this is really the best $ 1 pizza in new york city. specialty slices are somewhat decent too and well priced. Just stay away from the beef patties.

The smell brought me in; I smelled delicious pizza from the next block up. Dollar cheese slices with a 2 slices + can of soda/water for $ 2.75(tax included!). Crust was more soft/undercooked than I like, but other than that the pizza was on point. Good balance of sauce(which was great tasting, usually my least favorite part of pizza) as well as tasty cheese. After my 2 slices, I went up and got another.

Finally found Authentic New York style pizza turn way I remember it tasted! We left Little Italy to Pursue a real slice of the good stuff and not some tricked up Fancy gourmet style pizza — this was the place! Server was very nice and friendly too. Glad we came and tried it out– cheap too $ 1 cheese pizza slice!

They off your basic New York special of two cheese slices and a can of pop — err — soda for 2.75 or basic cheese slices for $ 1 for those between paycheck days. The pizza is solid. Good crispy dough. They are sized just right for folding in half while you eat. I saw some complaints about them being burnt. This can happen occasionally because they cook them somewhat halfway and then finish them off in the oven on an order by order basis. It’s not just sitting out waiting for somebody to hopefully get it while hot like some places do. They excel with their toppings though. Great ingredients. The buffalo chicken pizza and the chicken and bacon are my personal favorites. There are a lot of options here.

Sauce is good. Just enough cheese. Crust was crisp with a good, doughy edge. Worth the stop!

I am tremendously annoyed. You clearly see this food is burnt, dont hand it to a customer and hope they dont complain. I’ve come here and was served cold pizza so i’m indeed surprised at this. The pizza is good as long as you tell them to serve it hott… but the inconsistency drives me nuts.

CHEAPPIZZA?! YES guy picking his ear and then serve me the pizza? No thanks. i would come here on a biweekly basis and my last few experiences were not very nice. The slices i got last time were burnt. I would go back to complain but i was already short on time as i needed to get somewhere. It was completely black on the bottom. I ended up throwing the slice away and went to get pizza elsewhere later in the night. Until i can recover from that trauma i think i will try another place until i can go back here with confidence.

Seriously this is one of the best cheese slices in the best pizza city on the planet… and it happens to be one of the cheapest. You have to try it to believe it. I swear this place is different than the other Joey’s I’ve been to, and even giving other locations the handicap of drunkenness, this place takes the cake. I often stop by for a quick slice, and I’m never disappointed. Crisp crust with a mild flavor, and a perfect coating of tomatoes and cheese. It’s a great thin slice, and if it isn’t fresh out of the oven, the guys behind the counter are happy to put it back in to get the cheese bubbling. It’s just a perfect, basic, gooey slice with a crunch on the crust. I’ve only had their other slices a few times, so I can’t speak to their quality, but if you’re looking for a great, cheap slice of cheese between Chinatown and TriBeCa, this Joey Pep’s stands out.

* 2 Cheese Slices + 1 Can of soda or bottle of water for $ 2.75(Tax Included) * How can U beat that! The slices were not to shabby, for only a DOLLAR. It reminded me of a glorified thinner slice of ELLIO’S® Pizza. I actually did like the taste, it was saucy & the crust had a nice crunch. Variety of topping pizza’s ready to serve on display. The free soda was not no generic brand soda, they offered Choices Of Several Pepsi Products & Hawaiian Punch! Modern décor & Clean Establishment with a small seating area inside.

Joey Pepperoni NY: Manhattan: Tribeca/Chinatown 5pm Saturday 25th October 2014 Three stars One less pizza place to try. Of course I had to try the $ 1 slice of cheese. It was Quite Saucy but Luke warm since he served it straight from the counter(presumably it was recently hot). I also had a Broccoli and fried chicken pizza. This slice was not saucy at all. The chicken was crispy and broccoli was quite good even if it was $ 3.50.

Start eating here NY pizza grease style for about two bucks, most topping slices three bucks. Dough has fluff, veggies are legit. If you like the sound of decent budget, on the run pizza, do it without shame. Just don’t expect to find it at the top of any Zagat list any time soon. Better than average interior — I think most other NY pizza joints are stinkholes. #cheapeats
