Wonderful staff. I walked in and within 15 minutes had picked two great scents for gifts. Each candle was around $ 65 with $ 7UPS shipping. What I love most is that it’s a one stop shop for gifts, even those that need to get cross country(plus the wrapping is so luxurious). Convenient grand central location. I had stopped by Diptique first, but they did not offer a shipping option which made Jo Malone the dead-winner in this particular row of shops.

A little gem of a place in busy Grand Central Station. The store is always nicely decorated and offers fragrances that can be layered or paired with each other to create individual masterpieces of scent. Omarr Jalloh is so helpful and welcoming every time I go there; kudos to management for having such a stellar employee.

I have been coveting a Jo Malone perfume since I smell it on my sister. Finally, I decided to go into the one located in Grand Central. Omarr was the one who assisted me in my purchase. I couldn’t decide between two scents. He was patience with me and sprayed each one for me on those tester papers. When I finally paid for it, he gave me a lot of sample vials. In addition, he included a small container of the Roses lotion so I can layer it with the perfume. Wow. Now, I understand why Jo Malone perfume is so expensive. The customer services is excellent! Also, the perfume I sprayed on my wrist lasted all day. I will definitely be going there again.

Headed somewhere and need a hostess gift or birthday gift? Jo Malone is absolutely amazing — the epitome of luxury fragrance. The staff who work here could not be friendlier– I even received a hand written thank you note for my business after stocking up on the candles, colognes and body creams. If you have some time before your train I would definitely recommend stopping in here. They give out lots of free samples and the gift packaging is stunning.

This place is dangerous! Since I started the reverse commute a couple months ago, I’ve been walking past the Jo Malone store in GCT twice a day. Before today I had been good about avoiding that cleanly decorated, brightly lit, heavenly scented little space. But today I stumbled. I mean, it wasn’t really my fault. I had 30 minutes to kill before 10am, so most places in the food court hadn’t opened for business yet. I figured, why not go upstairs and walk along the Lexington Passage. Nothing will happen… I’m just going to sample some perfumes… I’m just curious… I’m not going to buy anything… Oh the flesh is weak! I was probably the first customer of the day, and the two gentlemen working there looked really happy(or relieved) to see me. They weren’t pushy or anything, just cheerful and accommodating. The salesperson who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable about the different colognes. I told him what I liked and didn’t like and he soon had an array of scents picked out for me to test. After hemming and hawing, I narrowed it down to the Wild Bluebell and Jasmine Mint. After some more deliberation, I decided on the Wild Bluebell, since I didn’t really have anything like it in my collection. In addition to my purchase, I also walked away with generous samples of all the other perfumes I had tried on. Going forward, this place will probably become another commuting expense for me, kinda like that monthly MetroNorth pass. The excuses to stop by are just endless. Had a bad day at work: hmmm I should really get myself a bright, citrusy pickup. Finished a really tough project: hey, why not reward myself with a sweet, floral treat. Going on a hot date: well I’ll need to douse myself in musky, sultry love potion first. Heck it doesn’t even have to be the end of the day. If the next train doesn’t leave for another 30 minutes, I should really visit my friends at Jo Malone to say hi.
