My three favorite people in the salon Aaron, Ileanys and Alyssa! They are amazing at what they do. I have gotten my hair color done by Alyssa before and she knows how to give a natural look without being Strip lines if you know what I mean. I have gotten my hair cut with the owner Aaron and he really knows how to give a badass haircut! I am so pleased with the out come! When Aaron was away I got my haircut with Ileanys and she gave me the exact look I had before when Aaron did it. It’s amazing the teamwork and talent this Salon has. I am very pleased and will return!

I’ve been to a few other high end salons in NY and Miami and IGK takes the cake! The salon itself is small and but open. The staff is on point! Friendly and attentive. Justin exceeded all of my expectations. He listened to me, he understood what I was asking for and provided his consultative opinion on it as well. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. He’s truly artistic and creative in this space and has an eye for hair. Thanks Justin, I’ll be back!

Best haircut I’ve ever received. Ileanys is super skilled at creating edgy yet low maintenance cuts that grow out beautifully and effortlessly. She understood intuitively what worked well with my facial structure but was also open to my suggestions and input. Unlike other cuts I’ve gotten in the past, hers didn’t require a heavy hand at styling on a daily basis which is just the way that I prefer it.
The salon itself is the epitome of cool and unpretentiousness. The owner was extraordinarily personable. Overall, I could not be happier with IGK NY.

The salon itself is so cute, love the hotel, and love the small space. They aren’t rude or pretentious like a lot of salons I’ve seen in NYC, they’re all just super dope, down to earth people. Now onto the most important part…
UGH I love Ariel. Finally, a colorist that I’m sticking with. I’ve bounced around from LA to London to NYC and she’s the first that’s been spot on in every way. I’m a blonde, and getting the right blonde is one of the hardest things EVER. I’ve walked out of previous salons feeling good but only to find the color fading out after a week or finding weird spots where color was misplaced. Ariel gives me exactly what I want and ask for every time, the perfect California beachy/​rooty blonde, and helps me maintain the cool tone. Love, love, love her. She’s truly the best.

Look no further! What s gem! Found IGK through a Time Out article. I’d had a lousy color experience in Park Slope and came in pretty unhappy. Vibe of the place was really relaxed and cool, with great music and friendly staff. Bari was confident she could fix my color. She really listened and impressed me– the color was perfect and my hair felt super soft. I left feeling pampered and pleased with the results. I got compliments on the blowout into the next day. I highly recommend her! Thanks Bari!

Got my highlights done with Bari yesterday and she was fantastic. I love my hair!!! I basically summed up what I wanted in 2 sentences and she immediately knew what I wanted. Don’t expect a huge space or fancy salon with all the hustle and bustle like midtown. It’s a small nook in the back of the hotel — and perfect to get the job done. Great music playing, great staff, and I will definitely go back! Thanks, Bari!
